  1. I can't believe you you think rwd is safer then awd. Sure if you're not trying to break traction then it doesn't matter, but if i'm travelling at 60kms and have to swerve to avoid a car, i know i'd definitely much prefer myself and my wife to be driving in an awd vehicle. You might as well argue you don't need abs as you don't intend to brake suddenly. the thing about rwd drivers is they really do enjoy the back stepping out, don't deny it!
  2. Yeah, being in Adelaide myself... and I definitely don't trust myself to do it anyways! Is the jerk from 1st to 2nd noticeable even whilst accelerating "normally"?
  3. Nice, I've been wondering whether or not to get the shift kit, how much all up to have it installed? Those of you with the kit, how much more pronounced is the gear change? Last thing I want is a clunk between gears.
  4. I've never driven the RWD version, but after yesterdays cruise on partially wet roads, I can't go pass recommending the AWD version.
  5. Couple of Bridgestone B500Si 215/55/R17/93V with about (according to the guy from Tyrepower) 60%, tread good for around 20,000kms. These came with the car when imported and came off when I realised the rolling dimension wasn't suited with the other 2 tyres. No idea what they are worth, say $100 for both? Make me an offer if you think that's too much. I'm located in Payneham, Adelaide.
  6. The tyres are now for sale! No idea how much they are worth, so make me an offer if you think my price is too high. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=0#entry3207943

  8. It looked and sounded GREAT from the back for sure!
  9. Great fun, loved the route, good job with that one. Very enjoyable for my first. Go the kiddie seats at the back of both the Stageas! Nick (Silver Stagea).
  10. Cheers! Good to put some faces with names, had a blast too for my first cruise. Hope it finished as well as it started.
  11. I work in the city, City Central Tower 1, new ANZ building.
  12. nice! how much did you get it for if you don't mind me asking?
  13. Found a great site with wheel dimensions http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html
  14. Apparently this happens if your 50/50 torque split button is on.Mines definitely OFF though, strange...
  15. PM please, directions too? Can probably come for a bit, but can' stay too long... the family beckons.
  16. I see, i'll look for the appropriate ones then. Are these calculations right though? Front 215/50 = 107.5 with either (rears) A. 225/50 = 112.5 B. 235/45 = 105.75 If I go with A, the percentage is 107.5/112.5 = approx. 5% diff. If I go with B, the percentage is 105.75/107.5 = approx. 2% diff. Side question... what's the funny vibration/fart it does when i turn the engine off? It's like a vibration lasting a second, feels weird. Feels like it's coming from the drive or something.
  17. Do you guys think it'll be okay to put the current 215/50's in the front and get new 225/50's for the rear? The tyre width shouldn't matter to the rolling diameter should it?
  18. Yeah definitely going there, they seem to have the best service and price.
  19. Thanks, will do so when I take it for major service/timing belt change very soon.
  20. Will do when I get home from work. The badge at the back says "Dayz Neo Series" It's got the cool little touch screen that controls the air-con and cd player, kept be amused on the drive back as i tried to work out if there was a way of reducing the burn in my eyeballs from the brightness! got it in the end... as i was pulling up into adelaide ofcourse!
  21. Will definitely try to make it, cheers!
  22. Probably didn't help that the fronts (55 series) were 38psi and rears (50 series) were 28psi too... When the dealer replaced the 16's with 17's in their workshop, silly me assumed they would check tyre pressure. Considering it seems to fix itself everytime i restart the engine, I'm hoping it hasn't stuffed the Attessa system up. I'll be getting new tyres this weekend I think. Hmm... should I keep the 50's or 55's... decisions! Oh yeah, it is a Dayz edition, got the badge at the rear, but apart from the front bar, I don't know what else it has that's different.
  23. Ahh ok, I've just had a look, fronts are Bridgestone B500si 215/55/R17 and rears are same but 50 series. I need to change to the same? Would swaping the fronts and rears do anything? Shame, cause tyres still have decent thread in them! What are chances I've done some damage driving it 750kms with different profiles? arghh!
