Don't mean to hijack thread, but what warning is no.15? Mine came on everytime I got up to 160ish and released back to 100ish. Would stay on for anywhere between 5-15secs and then turn off. Also came on while stationary once.

Everytime i go to Melbourne it rains on my ass... :laughing-smiley-014: Caught a bus shuttle from airport to the city and train to Bayswater with no problems, took 1 1/2 hrs and $21 all up! I must say, I love driving again. It's an incredible car to say the least, unbelievable amount of control and traction in the wet. I spent most of the trip back hovering around 120km/h with the occasional squirt and LOVED it!! It was like there wasn't any rain at all. Unfortunately, after about 30mins driving, the 4WD light on the dash started flashing (the one under the fuel gauge) so I pulled over and checked the Attessa fluid reservoir (it's the one to the right panel when you open the boot right?) which was low so I got some Castrol Transmax Z from the local Repco of whatever town I was in, and topped it up. Seemed allright when I restarted the car but light came on again after about 5-10mins. Discovered everytime I turn the engine off, it's allright for about that time, then comes back on. At about the same time I noticed a SLIGHT juddering whenever I stayed at a constant speed between 60-90km/h. Anything above that it was fine. If i give it a bit of pedal it goes away, it's only when I start coasting and stay between those speeds. Would the fact that the dealer chucked on 17's on the car instead of the standard 16's caused the attessa system to chuck a wobbly? Would a tyre allignment and balance help? The juddering is not there when the 4WD light isn't flashing, so it must be connected right? Any help would be appreciated! JVP - Thanks for the offer too mate, appreciated!

Thanks guys for the kind words. It's on Scoresby Rd, Bayswater. Apparently I might be able to catch a bus from the airport to Box Hill then cab it from there. Otherwise the cab fare will cost me nearly double my airfare! Now that'd suck! It's got a Dayz front bar but i think that's about it, the rest I think is pretty much stock. I'll most definitely be keeping within the speed limits, I've heard about the boys in blue from Vic!

Well, the time has come to finally pick up my 2000 Series 2 Stagea tomorrow (Weds 27th). I will be flying into Melb (from Adel) in the morning and finding my way to Bayswater (apparently approx an hour from the Melb airport! That's one heck of a cab fare - anyone want to make some cab money? ) Then if everything goes well with the exchange, I will start my drive back to Adel asap. Just thought I'd share what this car is to me. It'll be my first - Import vehicle - Wagon - Six cylinder vehicle - AWD vehicle - Turbocharged vehicle (woot!) I've owned. Needless to say I'm quite the excited little boy.

Don't they do fluids and all filters at compliance? I'm about to get my Stagea 83000kms) and was wondering if it needed the major service (timing belt) done straight away or wait till closer to 100000kms.

Fantastic! Wife wanted a car with more space for pram, shopping dog etc. I told her there are only 2 wagons I would consider buying, a Legacy or Stagea. A legacy was over our budget so the Stage it was. Haven't got it yet (next week now) but i'm thinking even if i had a choice of the 2 with no money involved i would still pick the stagea!

Don't think my S2 got that option although it has the navi screen, but with kids and a dog a reversing camera is definitely something that'll get me extra brownie points with the boss. But I think I'll be sending it away for someone to hook it up for me though, sounds quite complicated.

Hmm... i'm a bit lost with this, so this WILL fit a Series 2 RS4? And you have a RS-V which require different sized rotors? If these do fit I might definitely be interested. Any difference with front and rear rotors?

That's what i thought too. Boost = More fuel used right? If you don't do the solenoid boost mod, you'll only have 4psi up to 4500rpm. If you do then it's 7psi all the way. Therefore, if you spend more time cruising below 4500rpm without boost or low boost, you should (in theory) save fuel. Practice might be different, will definitely have to try when i get the car.

Another vote for the Chaser... mates got one and it looks pretty good... even if he has 20's on them.

Man, you'd think if it was in the car it wouldn't be a problem. Probably just want to make another buck out of you. I'm pretty sure you'll be needing the wheels and that to help with compliance in SA though so try and think of another way to get them back. Plus you could probably flog them off for the price of trucking the car here if you can find a buyer!

You know, it really depends on your needs. If for personal reasons you need a bit of a boot (camping, surfing whatever) then the Stag is definitely the way to go. If you're going to be driving around 99% of the time by yourself, I'd recommend something smaller.

Hmm.. very interested in this mod for my S2 when i get it but i may be showing my age here with this question... is it a legal mod? i.e. if the car is totalled, can insurance pick on this to not pay out the damage?

Not sure, can't remember the detail, but it's the one that pretty much covers the whole boot section. Got any pics?

Anyone know where I can get it? I've noticed in some pictures of such a thing.
