  1. pixel8r you must really watch your gauge! Hopefully when I get my S2 it will get the same consumption as yours.
  2. Fuel economy isn't the Stagea's strong point for sure but 1/4 to zip in 10mins is a bit sus. Did you ask the seller about it?
  3. Use the SEARCH button. I have and this is what i've come across. Driven carefully i.e. off boost most of the time with engine running well- Around town 14-15l/100km Highway 10-11l/100km
  4. Just got my 2000 S2 with 83000kms from a Melb dealer. Haven't picked it up yet, currently getting complied. Picking up next weekend hopefully. Deposit paid and all that. Went through a stateroads.com.au comprehensive inspection costing $189 and this is what they picked up - rotors need machining - driver side lock is busted - interior ceiling is dirty other then that the guy said it was an extremely good example. Passed the compression test, body inspection etc etc. The cost of the car was $16k. PM me if you want a contact.
  5. Hi, I'm about to get my S2 Stagea in the next week or so, just wondering if anyone has tried seat covers for theirs. If so what type and where did you get them, online or around Adelaide. Looking to get front and rear seat as well, the 2yr old still doesn't quite know the meaning of "I've just vacuumed!" Are these AMR seats any good for the Stagea seats?? Link
  6. Thanks guys! According to the "technical" person i spoke to from Regency, if the car is fully complied from another state and not registered, "technically" it only needs an identity inspection. But he did ask me if the car is stock. I'll bet if your car looks even remotely modified they'll pull you in for a full inspection.
  7. Well, finally after a lot of shopping around, I've bought my Stagea from a dealer in Melb. I've asked them to put 12 mths rego on it ($620) in which once I re-register at Regency I will get a refund of what's remaining. I checked with Vic Roads about that. So look out for a(nother!) Silver S2 Stagea by next weekend!
  8. Not according to the guy from Regency i spoke to. Apparently as long as the car is complied, all it needs is an identity check to register in s.a. Doesn't matter if it's been registered or not. But it looks like more often then not they can/will pull you in for a full check if they can/aren't too busy/your car looks dodgy.
  9. Wrong, just spoke to Regency, as long as it has it's compliance plates, doesn't matter if it's from interstate, all it needs is an identity check. edit: But apparently a lot of the time they pull you up for a full compliance inspection anyways?
  10. I'll keep that in mind. What if the car hasn't been registered yet interstate? Full Australian compliance but no registration. I wonder if it'll be treated the same as one that's already registered. I can borrow trade plates from a mate here to drive it back.
  11. Well, just rang Regency. As long as the car I'm buying has been fitted with an Australian Compliance plate (which it does), all i have to do once in Adelaide is to bring it in for an identity check. Won't even need to remove the turbo timer as it's a identity check to make sure it isn't a stolen vehicle etc, and not a RWC check. Cool. So it doesn't matter whether i take it to regency or sturt rd. What days is the sturt rd one open? Tues Thurs or Weds Thurs?
  12. So as long as it's registered in another state that's all i have to do with getting it re-registered in SA? So i don't have to worry about the turbo timer? It's the only mod to the car. Do i lose whatever is left of the registration from interstate?
  13. I thought all import cars MUST have compliance plates? So if i buy a car from interstate i must make sure it has that?
  14. After I buy mine, i'll agree with you too.
  15. haha! seriously? Do you have to live a certain distance from the city to go to the Sturt cop shop? Or can anyone do that? I've heard they're much easier then Regency.
  16. So I'd have to disconnect it somehow and hide it away? It sits above the steering column. Is that easy to do?
  17. Hi guys, Just wondering about registering a vehicle bought interstate when i bring it back to Adelaide. I know Regency is pretty strict with mods, but will they mind a turbo timer? That's the only mod to the car. Thanks.
  18. Not quite, have you done a search lately? I have, because I'm in the market for one. For that kind of money and kms i'd be expecting full 3 yr warranty buying from a reputable dealer. btw, car was built 11/99, making it a 1999 model. but it does look like in good nick.
  19. Finally! I'm assuming price is negotiable as your price is very high. Whereabouts in Brissie are you? I might get my brother (Albany Creek) to come have a look this weekend. PM me you mobile, can't remember if you already have.
  20. still looking
  21. haha, don't know what the story is here but i have shown my interest in this car a few weeks ago and was told that pictures of the car will be emailed "soon". Still waiting on them, but if this is the way you conduct yourself i don't think we'll be doing business. Either email the pics or post them up, unless the car doesn't exist?
  22. Thanks. Not sure about the whole forking out $11000 for a $18000 car first up though. I like to see what i'm buying before i outlay any cash.
  23. Hi there, how many k's? apart from exhaust, any other mods? thanks.
  24. bump, still looking.
