  8. Hey guys ! i just received my TOMEI oil pump from nengun after waiting 10 weeks for it to come I've fitted it onto my motor no problems but i relized when i opened the packet i also got a washer and some shims Does anyone know if i have to fit these up to increase/get oil pressure? Is the oil pump ok to install just as they are? Unfortunetly everything is in japanese so i cant read anything Has anyone else come accross this problem? Thanks all
  9. hey mate! I had this exact problem last time i did a rebuild on my rb26dett. You'd think that cleaning out the throttle bodies would do a world of difference but its totally opposite. Although they look really dirty i just don't touch them now. You can clean the gasket surfaces but not the bore where the butterfly seals on. Yes they do use some sort of sealing compound in the factory to minimize this idle problem. If your from Sydney i know that SAS out at silverwater fixed mine up, They have that sealant out there. Doesn't take long just take the throttle bodies out there Next time try not to clean the bores out
  10. Are these rims still for sale?

  13. the hardest thing about GTR gearbox's i think are the starter motor bolts cause they come through the front A short 14mm stubby spanner is good or a series of extensions and wobble joints from the front can do it too Once you drop the rear gearbox mount you can get to the top bolts easy, the motor can tilt back enough to get to the bolts. The engine fan may hit the shroud Long 1/2" bar and a wobble does it with ease There pretty heavy too so a transmission stand ain't a bad investment, or a few ppl can lift it out too Enjoy changing your box!
  14. There not too bad to take out. Some things to be aware of 1. Starter motor can be a bitch - either get it from the top with an extension bar with a uni joint oir a short stubby spanner from underneath (thats if the bolt ain't too tight) 2. Remove both drive shafts from the front diff. The drivers side one just pops out, bit of a prick gettin a lever bar in there, the passenger one just unbolts (6 bolts i think) 3. Remove wiring harness complete 4. The gear box can stay in there. It balances pretty well because of the rear transfer case. No need to support it really 5. Theres one heater hose thats a bitch underneath the plenum, undo it once you have the engine half way out That's all i can remember really, i did it in my backyard in about 3 hrs. Make sure you drain the engine, coolant and front diff fluids otherwise it can get a bit messy The first thing you do is take the bonnet off completely. You can see alot better, gives you alot more room to move Enjoy
