Hmm that's realy tempting there R33 steve. I called the mechanic i usually go 2, I'm going 2 get him 2 have a look @ it 2morrow, For a quote. Is the twin plate going 2 be hard to drive with or still has enough give to drive round through traffic easily.

Does anyone know if Daikin clutches are good? Seen them on a couple of forums. Does any one know where i can find there prices for there clutches and where i can get a kit from in brisbane?
-
Also if you know how much the clutch kit costs it would be good to. any recomedations or thoughts are welcome, I'd like to know as much info as possible.
-
Hey guys my clutch on my r32 gts-t is on it's way out. Tonight started to slip in first at the top end. So what I probably want to look at is getting a new clutch but I want something a bit more bitey than stock and not as bitey as a brass button. So really i just want something better than the stock clutch. I dont want a clutch that would make my car imposible to drive. So if you's guys have any thoughts what would suit me best it would be greatly apreciated. Thanx Guys.

Ok fane. Thanx again. So basicaly when u first hook an SAFC it will not do anything until u make a modification / correction to the actual map. Hmmm, I think the SAFC is the option for me. So when i get it is probably best to book it in on a dyno for a tuning.
-
I like the look of the SAFC II is there any advantages the microtech Itx8 has over the SAFC II? What's price like on the Itx8? What's the best way to tune your SAFC aswell is it a must to have it done on a dyno? How do you initialy set it up. Is there like default maps already on ther? Does read stock maps and then lets u change them on the SAFC? I probably wont make a move on this till after christmas, but I'd like to know what i'm in for and what I need to do.
-
Sime how much did u pay for your SAFC? I had a quick browse on ebay, Might have a look @ the classifieds. Thanx.
-
Nope stock BOV. (Recirclation valve I think they call it in the manual)
-
Hmm. I think safc is the way to go. Got a few extra bits l8r on I'd like to add. is AFRs short for Air Flow Ratios by anychane?
-
Would a simple remap of the stock ECU be sufficient. How hard is it to patch in the safc. Also how much can u get an safc for? Im not realy looking to modify my car to much. I realy dont want to spend that much money on a car.. yet :-) Are safc hard to use?

Hey fellars my R32 gts-t runs quite rich in the hot summers. A friend told me that standard turbo cars run rich to get the pistons to cool down (usgin petrol as the extra cooling device). My car is running 12 pound boost with stock everything expcept for the exhaust. She is also backfireing alot. Which is mosty likeley more un burnt petrol and Ocasional stalls , like flooding the motor. Now what would be best way to resolve this problem. Would a new Front Mount Intercooler do the trick , Something alot bigger than the stock intercooler so it can cool the extra air im pushing into the motor?
-
Mine was on the front bar amed inwards. I think u can calibrate the temperature of that. Not sure but in know u can do some sort of calibartion on the climate control unit.

ok, the ediging on the door handles sort of pulls out. get the door handle on the inside of the car into the open door position and pull out the outer plastic. now there is a screw hiding in the hole for pulling the door shut. It's under a plastic cap. There also another to screws behind caps near the door hinge. U might want to take the triangle plastic bit off that sit's behind the revision mirror cus it will get a little scratched if u leave it in. Now removing all that just push the door cover up and it should come all off. Rear parcel tray is held on buy clips from what i rember i just kept pulling mine till it came off.. After i had removed my speakers. ( My car had the alpine nfit option with speakers and all...) U might want to take the back seat out, than u can see a bit more of what u r trying to do.

I think u r best to make your own bracket. do the holes match up with afm. If not, best to make some sort of adapter. I dont think u can get you hands on a bigger afm, with out being different electronicaly to the original afm. In other words a bigger AFM will need a new fuel map to match the AFM, or some way to fudge it so it looks the same from the computer. Sorry cant point u in any direction for such a bracket. U might be able to make somtheing out of you original air box to adapt to the new filter.

Cool thanx for the info, I still haven't fix my problem yet. Looking for some free time @ the moment.

Is this what u talking about This is off an RB20 from the r32.
-
Were did u find the 33 gtr manual. That's in digital form right?

The external temp sensor on my r32 was on the frontbar just behind the number plate. it's a black little like box, with a metal bracket on it, and a bit of wire. mayb unplug it, clean it out, u may need to replace. Not sure how it works, i think the sensor is an active sensor, so it might work from a voltage return. or it might work by resistive. I know when i diconected mine to see what would hapen it showed -30'C. So check the wiring on the plug, move it about.... u may need a new sensor, or your wires shaged or mayb where ever it goes into is disconected or shaged. Good luck.

R32: Model Name Classification Guide
Madtrang replied to funkymonkey's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
The r32 gts-4 and gtr's are the only four wheel drive vehicles, they are not always 4 wheel drive due to how the attessa system and how it works, torque split setup. I beleive that to put a 4 wheel r32 into rear wheel drive it's as simple as removing a fuse. GTS-4 has an rb20det withe super HICAS (all wheel stearing) and ATESSA (4 wheel drive system) GTR is has the RB26dett and hicas + atessa. GTS-4's are not very common, but they more are becoming to the road. The gts-4 was the second most expensive vehicle out of r32 to range when sold origninal in Japan. GTS-t, GTS, GXi ,GTE and GTS25 are all rear wheel -

(on sidebar) gives all the serial numbers and their production dates -
neil_se has a s13 180sx with an rb20det in it. I think he done the hole conversion himself. He comes from the gold coast. He'll probably can direct u with any q's if u ask him nicely. He seamed like a top bloke when i was bying some parts of him.

Madtrang replied to lka82's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
When i got my car keyed it was sunday after church @ wynnum west macca's, it's near a bottle-o and the place was packed so i parked just behing a bush @ macca's and I think that's were it got done. (bit of a dodge spot to park it, probably luck the didn't try to break into my car and do more damage to my door lock and panels) I'd never park there again, and so much bad stuff seams to go down there now. -

I got the front of my bonnet key with the F word on it, I got my frontbar repainted and bonnnet done just under $400 , did it through a company called wizard smash repair, he done it cheap i think becuase im a forum member on boost cruising. He done a great job with paint matching. I'll be going 2 see him soon again, after i mange to but a nice scratch in my frontbar.. :-( What i found is that most quotes for my frontbar and bonnet were about $600 to $700. I've had my car just over a year, and I have had 1 tyre slashed, my car spat on twice whilst i was driving. F-word keyed into my bonnet. Screws put under tyres about 4 times, I've gone through a hole set of tyres due to screws and being slashed. So i now try and park my car in sight @ all times. I live in wynnum and I seem to be picked on alot, but i think alot of other cars get it done 2. Just jelauos bored kids with nothing better 2 do than be destructive. -
kid drifting a trike..where do I get it!!??
Madtrang replied to superspit's topic in General Automotive Discussion
it's actual the end part of sega rally add for the dream cast from japan. It's a wierd but funny advertisment. It starts off with a buldozer drifting around a corner with this guy waking along, than i think a girl drifts around another corner, than it shows a bit of the game an than ends off with the little kid drifting on his trike. I have the hole add @ home on my pc somewhere i'll c if i can find it.
