I would suggest that you cut your losses as is mate, sell the car and once you have a full time job and bit more stability than look at getting another skyline. I know its hard when you are emotionally attached to your car. WIth the way defects are going on atm its prob better that you get a cheap thrashbox runaround car for the time being

Meh once the first carton is down mate the atmosphere will be pretty much the same If you just want to follow the race, staying at home and watching it on tele is the better way, but if you want the whole petrol head experience than going to the races is better. Pitty there is so much boganism at clipsal.

So how exactly do you highflow a stock turbo with OP6 rear housing?

I have been to a couple of clipsal events and makes you think, WTF am I doing here. You only get to watch cars going around on the one corner or straight. The rest of the time is spent on watching the big screen anyway. Might as well chill at home with a few bevs and have the boys around for a barbie Way better then spending the money to get on the stands.

For $900 mate you are better of upgrading the brakes from the standard ones to the slotted rotors and some decent brake pads and no I am not talking about Bendix crap. There is a group buy thread in the main section for RDA rotors. I bought mine from that group buy about 3 years ago and still going strong, even though it has seen a few track days now. I remember paying $480 delivered for all 4 slotted rotors. GSL Rallysport sell the QFM A1RM brake pads for $238 delivered for all 4 corners. I personally use the Penrite Sin 600 brake fluid and highly recommend it to anyone, especially after the way it goes on the track. They are about $25-30 for 500mls, and I guess for a system flush and all changed you will be needing around 1L. So that all comes to roughly $780 and with the $120 left get a carton of beer and a few boys around, throw a barbie and it will all be done in no time for sure. I won't be chasing big power just yet. Remember that with more power you will need better stopping power
