  1. FARK didn't know that. What about just getting brakes engineered?
  2. Yeah I will be looking into what needs to be done to have things engineered. For eg. Turbo etc
  3. Its not the defect that has f**ked me off. Its the fine and the attitude the cops had
  4. will provide more information once I actually read the notices. Too angry to even read that
  5. Up for sale is my R33 S1 Skyline. It is on defect and I know you can't sell the car while its on defect, but if someone wants a cheap car ready for the track for $12K you can take it off my hand as is with all the fruit. If you want to get it off defect than I will try and help out and sign the rego papers etc, you give me the cash, take it, get it off defect and enjoy it on the street. Reason for being on sale is I have had enough. Best method of contact is to just send me a pm
  6. I knew this day was coming. So here it is, I got DEFECTED last weekend in Berri. I was driving my mates car and he was driving mine. He got pulled over, I kept going. He called back saying that the cops wanted me to bring his car back so that they can have a look at it and possibly defect it as well. When I rocked up the first thing the cop said was "your car is being defected". So instantly I asked why it was being defected for, the older cop said, for BOV, boost controller and aftermarket turbo. All is fine but the BOV is stock, and the boost controller he pointed to my Master brake cyclinder stopper. Being defected wasn't an issue, the issue for me here is that the cop told me that I was getting a fine for driving my mates car which they deemed defectable. So I would get the fine for being the driver at that time and my mate would get the fine for driving my car which was defectable. This is where I have a small issue, I got a fine for my car for not complying with ADR standards and a defect, but on the other hand my mate didn't get a fine or a defect. So this is what I am confused about? I wasn't the driver of my car at the time of being pulled over and defected. Yet the fine has been made out to me. Can anyone please clarify this for me?
  7. Dan I think you will find that the peeps are meeting up at the usual meet spot up north at 2:30ish pm and leaving around 3pm to get to Berri around 5-5:30ish pm. Give the cars a bit of a wash and than booyah drinking time There is room in my car if you wanna tag along mate, you will just have to hike in the back seat.
  8. Ah tough luck mate. At least you did the right thing and played it safe. I wasn't really having issues as per such just the temps went up to about 105-110 degrees for both water and oil. So I started doing 2 hot laps and 2 cool down laps, it was hot as f**k out there. Can't wait for a winter track day that is dry
  9. What happened to your ride Cosi?
  10. post it up Dion
  11. Geez you really like that Magna, don't ya Pete
  12. I think you will find that was a slight dig at someone else mate. As long as you had fun mate. The afternoon sessions were a lot better for the cars. A lot cooler than the morning sessions. It was good to see you again mate
  13. Just look at the photos and be happy with it
  14. Luke or Glen took it down as far as I knew. I left early too mate
  15. It was an awesome track day. Pitty it was hot early on and than cooled down a bit for the afternoon sessions. Would have loved the cooler weather earlier on though. Thanks heaps for getting the pads changed mate. Really appreciate the effort you put in. I should be able to change it now by myself. Well will give it a go and see how go. I don't even know the best time that I put down. Guess will have to wait till the spreadsheet with all the times come out
  16. wow this is seriously messed up. Now they are stealing trailers as well, FARK. Thank god you took the track car off it mate. Will definitely keep an eye out for this mate.
  17. Cheers guys. Well lets hope that someone brings a jack It should be alright but you never know. The pad is on about half the of what a new one would be, so still plenty of meat left on it. Just had a spare set that was mean't to go in once the current pads had seen enough lol. I had no idea that you could change pads without bleeding the fluid system
  18. So looking forward to the track day
  19. Well I am all good to go. Just have to fill the car up and 3 Jerry cans tomorrow morning. I will be at the meet spot Just haven't changed the brake pads as I am not confident in doing them myself. I have seen it done a fair few times just don't have the confidence to do it atm. Hopefully the current pads will last the punishment. There is about half life left in the pads up front and same for the rear. I have a brand new set of QFM A1RM's with me that I will be bring out to the track and hopefully someone can lend me a hand in changing the pads if need be Also hoping that 3 jerry cans will be enough. Looking forward to this track day
  20. It is alive mate. All fixed and ready to go for the track
  21. well lesson learnt lol
  22. wouldn't suprise me mate, from my dealings with Adelaide Rim they seemed dodgy as
  23. Yeah I will have to make last minute changes. Hopefully won't be too much of an hassle
  24. I have always used Extensive Wheel Service and highly recommend them. I took a set of wheels to Adelaide Rims and the bloke there tried to sell me a second hand set they had in the workshop. Didn't like that at all, so I went across the road and was extremely happy with the service and the cost that they managed to get the repair done under
  25. Car was being worked on last night, will call up the workshop again to see how they went
