  1. so wat are you buying after you sell the 180
  2. i have just my car done by tilbrooks and they did an awesome job on the car....its gone a lot smoother then before....so my experience with tilbrooks has been a good one and mark the owner does look after you well.... as for morpowa my mate used to get his car serviced there and his car was just a pain to drive.....and they never figured the problem out so he took it to tilbrooks and they sorted it all out for him and now that thing boots..... boostworx never been there as it is way down south and bit too fair for me.....but i have heard of a lot of good things about them and will get my ecu tuned down there as they are apparently the best in tunning...
  3. i got the whole thing put in all at once and yeah there was a big power difference....much better flow and i do have a trust high flow cat which is supposed to be one of the best cats on the market...
  4. well i have a r33 gtst series 1 and its a 2 door.....the exhaust i have on mine is something like this: dual dump pipes (turbo back) high flow cat and 3.5 inch cat back with a cannon....the whole setup was made by trust/greddy and this was their racing series...cost was around the 1.5 - 2K mark....and believe me this thing makes the car sound awesome
  5. depends on where you are buying it from as well.....i am from SA and yeah that will be a bargain for a R34 GT T hell you will be lucky to get a R33 series 2 Gtst for that price
  6. well i have a r33 gtst series 1 for a daily and that thing hasnt given me any problems for the last 2 years.....normal drive during the week and bit of a fun session during the weekend....so my advice would be that if you do as you say and not thrash out the car day in and day out then you will be fine and also the life of the car will be longer
  7. i have always used BP ultimate and never had a problem with it....i have tried the shell Vpower for a while and the BP ultimate for me last longer then the Vpower and there isnt a huge difference but just because there is a BP near me i use the ultimate.....
  8. sounds like there has been a stuff up somewhere along the lines.....did u install it yourself or got a import garage to do it....if you have installed it yourself i suggest you take your car into a import specialist garage like boostworx, tilbrooks or somewhere like that...they are generally good with these types of things so wont hurt getting it checked out
  9. the Greddy kit cost me $649 which is real cheap for a good cooler
  10. i have a Greddy cooler as well its a tube and fin core and yes you can notice the pipe temp difference and it should easily fit with the series 1 front bar with no major chopping.....i havnt put mine on a dyno yet but have noticed the difference.....Greddy supply the full kit and are generally good....
  11. i have a series 1 r33 and yeah mine used to do that....but since i have had my oil changed to whatever it was recommended by the garage the oil pressure sits around the 2.5-3 when its nice and warm and when i give it a bit then it creeps up but nothing over 5.5.....so i will try to find out what oil they put in my car and let you know......just enquire from an import specialist garage as to what type of oil to use on what weather.....thick for summer and thin for winter?
  12. just make sure that the engine bay looks the same and if it does then there should be no problems with that.....
  13. all of the skyline range came out RWD.....unless its a GTR or GTS4 they are all rear wheel......GTR's and GTS4's came out all wheel drive....man my brother is only 14 and knows that skylines are RWD....tell your mate to get of those happy high herbs
  14. if your looking for a daily then i would personally go for a 4 banger......and if you still want an import as your daily then any NA import would be good on fuel......apparently commodore and falcons are okish in the fuel economy.....but if your getting a big sedan then also think of the toyota's as they are awesome on fuel economy and being a toyota they never break down.....
  15. i am not a big fan of personalised number plates but i have some good ones around.....my mate has "CHARGED" on his supercharged v6 and i consider as that being pretty good.....i was thinking of getting RB25DET but someone else had them on a 180 sx.....
  16. welcome to the world of boost.....you will have a lot of fun in it mate.....get a intercooler and a good electronic boost gauge with a full exhaust and boost it up....feel the power of an RB motor.....
  17. anywhere that sell stuff for jap imports or even a import wrecker
  18. i drove it last nite.....drove all good....just wen i went to start it up this morning it wnt start.....i havnt done anything as of late.......
  19. hey guys....as the topic suggests....my car just dsnt wanna start....called the RAA guys and they said it was something to do with ignition module..... i have reseated all the spark plugs and checked everything and also resent my ecu........battery is fully of life and fuel is going thru fine....... has anyone encountered this problem before or has anyone got any advice for me on this..... thanks
  20. is that all 4 rotors....can you please send me the details of those.....it will be really appreciated as i am thinking of doing some handling upgrades
  21. stock i think its ok to run 1 bar but not for long....anything higher then that you will need some internal work done like forged pistons and stuff.....running more then a bar is really bad for the stock turbo.....so i say upgrade the internals or your current motor and see how it goes....i guess which options would be cheaper/better suited for you!
  22. looks like the car was a nice buy mate....well done....hopefully once you get of your P's then you can start modifying the beast.....btw i wont put anything less then 98 octane in my r33.....start saving up for mods if possible get them cheap and store it somewhere so as soon as your off the P's the very next day slap a lot of shit on and you will see the difference.....well done once again mate
  23. if i knew where you lived mate i could say something about it.....i live in South Australia...so all the people / places i know are in SA
  24. i would say since you are going to be driving with passengers......have you thought of a 4 door skyline......they all look Fcuking awesome to me mate......NA skyline they are ok.....Body Kits are generally around the 1-2K mark painted......btw if you have a skyline, you are guarenteed to have fun in it no matter NA or Turbo
  25. well with RB25's its not so hard to get 200rwkw on 10 or 11 psi......all you need is: * Full exhaust system - i mean dump pipe, highflow cat and all * Front Mount Intercooler - which i think you already have * K&N high flow air filter * If you still have factory ECU - get it well tuned out * Z32 Air Flow Meter - these are easier to tune with and are straight bolt ons and my friend your looking to make 200+rwkw.......stock turbos can handle 14 psi (1 bar) but not recommended for daily use.....maybe a just for a little bit of thrashing once in a while
