R33 Gts-t Will Gtr R33 Brakes Fit
Krishy replied to Myskyboat's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
or just get aftermarket bigger/better rotors for your r33 -
i would do the same.....but my mate had a problem on this line before......the place where he got it dynoed put the boost controller back to front....and he was reading 5psi stock turbo......once a dyno diagnostics was done they found the problem and he had a 4 psi boost gain....before the diagnostics he was making 148 rwkw and now after this litle problem he is making 198rwkw.....i wouldnt really rip off the aftermarket Garett T70 turbz and stick a stock turbo on.....i am sure that taking it to the right people will make all the difference.....
-
with 2-3K to spend i would go a Greddy/Trust front mount intercooler....they go for around the $800-1K mark.....then prob a Greddy Emanage Piggy back ECU.....and run at about 10 psi this should see you push past the 200rwkw mark.... My mate has a series 2 R33 and all he has is a Hybrid fmic and running at about 9psi with a well tuned factory ECU....and he is at the 198 rwkw mark...he did have it dynoed on 12 psi and was making around 220 mark.....so its not hard to get some decent power out of these motors for cheap.... if i were you i would also look at getting a Z32 air flow meter...they go for around $400-500 mark and they are a whole lot better/easy to tune......and does give you some power
-
isnt that always the problem...that we don't have a boxfull....its times like these i wish i were in JAPAN
-
+1 give it give it give it .................plz
-
+1 everyones ride is their pride and joy and no matter what the facts state anyone and everyone will argue that their car is better then the models up or down.....end of the day "All Skylines are great!!"
-
that looks like one mean ride.....i think the car looks tough as it is.....whats the power figure on that beast?
-
well let us know what those switches do and the dyno figures after you finish with it
-
i think one of my mates had some problem like that and he replace it with a series 2 parts....i think a lot of parts are interchangeable from series 1 and series 2
-
+1 to that....keep the gapping to 0.8 around that mark and do not use anything less then 98 even though the motor can run on a 95 fuel only if its completely stock....btw if you get your car fixed please let me knw what you had to replace to get the power back....i am having similar issues.....
-
well i wnt be complaining if it goes hard lol.....but yeah try it out on all settings and see wat it does....it will be even better if u did it on a dyno though
-
well said....but do not relly on these plugs for a long time....my NGK coppers only lasted for around 6 mnths not even that....irridiums are the best and from memory the gapping in 0.8-1mm....my mate had this problem on his 33 and as far as i have read along its definately the spark plugs....
-
sorry to hear that this has happened to you mate....from what i can read about it i think its the mechanics fault....i only take my car to trusted import workshops/garages.....where my mates have gone before and a place where they also have a very good repp

Help With R33 Tail Light Leak
Krishy replied to EARMUFF's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
thats weird....my car does that from 4th to 5th at high speeds....is that also syncro problem -
i remember the day that me and my mate both got our cars on the same day...one of then got a non turbo supra, the other got a 32 gtst and i got my 33 gts25t....well we all had a drag while driving to town.....and we all were stock....i cained both the 32 and the supra.....so i will say that 33's are obiviously better then 32's....well done Nissan for the RB25DET
-
i will keep that in mind when i have the cash to buy a high flow cat....with straight through pipes does it chuck out flames and will it also flame with the high flow cat.....also the workshop where i am getting my gaskets fixed are going to do the pressure test before they do anything or before they even dyno it.....
-
its a quick little car...0-101kmph in 3.7 seconds.....wont mind driving that around and showing up some big mouthed drivers lol....looks tough as
-
well to start off with...r32 gtst's are not slow at all if anything a stock one with minor mods will prob be able to take on a 5ltr v8....being in SA and $10K for a r32 prob not at that price....if you want a nice and clean one you are most likely looking at $12-15K mark....and out of all skylines (r32, 33, 34) the r32 is the lightest....and if you can find a completely stock one...get a exhaust and front mount that way you can boost it up a bit...well good luck mate
-
well thats what i am going to fix up first and hopefully thats the only problem.....another question my cat is gone....so high flow cat or a straight through pipe?

Pulsing Noise In Dash When Starting My R33
Krishy replied to JodieR33Chick's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i also sometimes come across that problem...it definately has something to do with the aircon unit....it sounds like the motor is sliping or someting weird is going on....best thing to do is to play around with the settings and it just might go away....i have my airflow at the leg and sometimes when i do switch it to face it makes the ticking noise but only when i turn the car off and on again....so best in my situation was have it pointing to the leg....u most likely have to play aroung and hopefully it goes away for you....best of luck -
So far i have gone and seen a couple of mechanics in the past few days.....i have been told that i might have a vaccum leak somewhere, spark plugs, cat is blocked/stuffed, manifold and turbo gaskets are blown.... so since then i have changed the spark plugs....makes no difference...most of the them told me that its a vaccum leak plus the gaskets are gone....its making a ticking noice from near the manifold and turbo....apparently the turbo is making boost....the compression seems to be fine and all.....i am going to get my vacumm lines replaced and gaskets replaced and see if that makes any difference....i have booked it into a garage but it has a 2-3 mnths waiting list so i am not planning to drive it for a sometime lol..... with the car idling so low could that be a timming related problem....umm the motor has 130,000kz on it and i have had it when the it had 85,000kz on it....since then i have replaced my timming belt and the usual plus it gets serviced on the due dates or once certain kz have reached on the clock.....

Can Someone Reccomend Me A Good Clutch?
Krishy replied to R33GOD's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
i have a twin plate heavy duty OS Giken in mine and it is doing the tricks so as far as i am concerned i would recommend one.....excedy clutches arent that good i had it in my car for abt 1 year and it was doing what you are experiencing right now. -
that is absoulutely F@#kd......sorry to hear that mate....
-
hey guys....i have a r33 series 1 skyline and experiencing some problems with power on my car...i had it dynoed and i was pulling 101rwkw on stock boost with a full Greddy/Trust exhaust system and a K&N pod filter......they couldnt find the problem from just a power run....and also when the car is idling it sounds like it wants to stall, revs are generally about 400-500rpm on idle.....is that bad? also has anyone had this problem before if so how did you fix it? i have been told a few things from the mechanics but they are not that sure so if anyone can help it would be good thanks
-
in that case you dont have to worry about much mate.....i once had some bogan sideswipe me and drove of pushing me onto the oncoming traffic during peak hour....he was gone by the time i had a chance to chase him...btw at that time i had a mazda rx7 series 4
