  3. i was driving around today and did not notice any issues in the morning with the revolution meter. when i got back into the car in the afternoon, i noticed while driving that my revolution meter was playing up. it was telling me that i was doing 4 (not sure of the units, i think 4k rev/min) whilst the car was stopped. when i started driving it would start from 4 and go upwards into the red zone, but clearly i was not in that zone. i turned off the car and put it into the ignition mode and the dial just went spastic, over the red zone, back to zero, just all over the place and then i started that car, same thing. after driving again for a bit it went down to 4 and then started going from there. what could the problem be as i have no idea what to do apart from taking it to the mechanics but low on the cash these days.. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. also i had a flat this morning and i jump started the car (if that might have anything to do with it)
  4. fixed the problem! =) .. had 2 other people help. while one held the key in the unlocked position, me and the other friend pulled from both sides and it just popped open.. but took a bit of effort! wasn't easy.. working fine now so far.. lets hope no one slams it again =s
  5. i'm in a similar situation and i got no idea what to do... my friend slammed the boot lid with god knows what on his mind, and now i can't open it using the lever near the drivers door or the key to open it from the actual boot! the key just turns, and comes to a stop in the position where the boot should be open, but the boot doesn't open. you can hear it un-latching off something, but im not sure if thats just the spring making a noise in the keyhole or the acutal lock. if it was that little switch that tripped then they key would over ride it (i'mm 99% sure im right on that bit). but the damn thing won't open even with the key! any suggestions??
  6. yerh i put that bolt back on. the thing is i used to check the oil once in a while before i tried this for the first time myself. used to always be at the H mark. i'll keep filling i guess. thanks
  7. i've just changed the oil in the car (including oil filter) and i've put approx 4.8 litres in already and its still sitting at the L on the dipstick.. i've let the car idle for a bit then rechecked and still the same thing.. can it be possible that i need more than 5litres of oil? i'm getting a bit scared now... got a r33gts25t s2 which has done 150k.. could it be more oil for high km car?
