Do the RB25 have the special coating in the throttle body like the GTRs? Or that's only on GTRs?
-
The car idles at 1120 rpm at cold start When warm it sits on 1250 rpm I've taken the aac valve and cleaned it. The adjustment screw is all the way in. I can't find any air leaks. But the previous owner fitted a RB20 aac valve on the rb25det using a metal plate adaptor . Next to check is the air regulator ? Which I've read is a pain in the ass to get to. Any advice?

The fan I've got on now doesn't have a shroud that's why I'm wanting to convert to a twin el/au fans as they have a good shroud and unlike the fan I have now ... They are weak as Highway driving the temp sits on 86 Heavy traffic area stop and start it sits on 92c I can use a tridon temp switch.

New R32 With Rb25Det Owner Questions

Finally took pics of the blocked hose -
Hi I bought my skyline and the previous owner installed a RB25 into a R32 and removed the stock fan and shroud and installed a single weak ass fan. I've read here that a lot are using falcon EF/EL, AU or even BA twin thermo fans they all look very similar. Now what's involved making these fit to my stock R32 radiator? What needs to be trimmed? Mounting points? Car sits around 90 - 92 c in a hot busy day. Thanks in advance

New R32 With Rb25Det Owner Questions

I haven't taken a pic yet I will try tomorrow Thanks -
Hi Once more ive got a hose that's been blocked by the previous owner. It's coming from the drivers side engine just below the plenum. Need to know where it should be connected to. Also if someone's got a diagram or a picture how the Aircon hoses connect to the compressor . Thanks
-
I just want to correct the vacuum hoses Right now the previous owner had the front port connected to the brake booster where it should be connected to the PCV valve. So I need to connect the rear port (dummy knock sensor) and connect that to the brake booster. Then get a PCV valve working normal again
-
Anyone know what size is the stock nipple and thread? Thanks
-
It looks like the previous owner just used a knock sensor to block that hole As they connected the hose from the brake booster to the port where the PCV valve used to connect. And left the PCV port on the head cover open. Need to source a PCV valve grommet and the "s" hose
-
I don't right now , but its right behind the plenum near the top near the throttle cable It's a R32 with RB25det Jut got the car so trying to sort things and tidy up.
-
What's the green part on the back of the plenum? Does that connect to the brake booster? What size hose do I need?
-
Hi I need a PCV valve and the rubber grommet and also the hose that attaches to te plenum for my RB25 urgently. I'm located in south side brissy Thanks

The Sera is most notable for its butterfly doors which tilt up and forward when opened, and the canopy constructed largely of glass panels. Rover Mini 1987
Rob_C110GTR posted a topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Hi I'm thinking of buying this 1987 Rover Mini but its here in Brissy but not complied. Its got the import papers, was imported from Japan Is it hard and expensive to comply these things? as it will need to match ADR's emission for that year and carby engines are hard to pass and quite expensive for each emission test? door intrusion bars, unleaded fuel tank restrictors, tyres and probably more right? Anyone here have complied a similar vehicle? Do I just ring up engineers that are qld transport certified? like for mod plates? Thanks in advance -

There is a way though... if he doesnt want to properly fix the rust right now just use bog and spray paint it so no visible rust = RWC Happened to me ages ago and was told as long as there's no visible rust should be fine for RWC
