  1. I've installed this HKS Electronic Idle Stabiliser (EIDS) type H1 as I have a HKS SSQ BOV. I'm pretty sure I installed it properly double checked it. In the manual the AFM cutout Cramp Adjustment should be turned all the way down (counter-clockwise) and the Air Flow Metre adjustment should sit one setting off the centre turned counter-clockwise (40%) its not stalling driving it hard but from full stop then 1st gear and move 2-3 metres and stop will stall straight away its not even driven hard. tried setting it on different settings and the above setting was the best. also found this install write-up and not clear with this step... I tried revving it but it didnt change the slow down speed always around 1200rpm on mine cant get it to go higher so the idle goes down slowly and wont stall. " Idle rev. While in neutral, rev the car a few times, going higher and higher in RPMs as you adjust the knob. Remember: the adjustment knob is VERY sensitive to change, so tune MINUTE-LY ("fine-tune"). When you get around a good spot, you'll notice your EIDS will slow the RPM drop around 1500 RPMs. This is good, as this is what it's designed to do to prevent stalling. " Anyone had experience with this IEDS???

The car starts but for like 3 secs cos its idling very very low then stalls if I start it and blip or rev the throttle a little bit it idles like normal (cold start higher rev) and runs fine, starts straight away when warm I've read that if its the air regulator it'll idle high as well when warm, so this cant be my issue then... AAC valve is when you have crap idle but my car idles fine. Can someone please share some ideas

  6. car still have the stalling issue on cold start even though I've used it for 3 consecutive days

Parker bulbs are blown I checked the bulbs on the fog lamps, swapped it with the driving lights (inner lights on the front bar) and they work fine. so dont know whats wrong with it now... also just discovered the low beam has been converted to HID Any more suggestions? I'll try and check if the fog lamps getting power.
  8. as I explained from the 1st post I'd like to have it for a weeks then back to stock BOV just to experience it, Im pretty sure you did as well with your 1st turbo car... so enough with going back to stock BOV i know that already just wanna try and make the stalling a bit bearable. Cheers
  9. my SSQ doesnt have the adjustment screw/bolt Today adjusted the idle speed and it didnt stall all the time only once when it wasnt even boosted...funny I set the idle to 800-900 rpm and seems to be OK but still stalls I've read that I can use HKS Electronic Idle Stabiliser to overcome this issue. Might give that a try... or the more expensive Apexi SAFC

  12. I just installed an atmo bov HKS SSQ, and blocked the return pipe with a nice blue bottle cap. And now Im having the common stalling issue on my R32 car is stock aside from the obvious bov I know I can just switch back to stock bov or plumb a return line on the aftermarket HKS I've read some people dont even get this problem (lucky bastards!!!) How do I adjust the idle to go higher a little bit? dont really wanna buy an aftermarket computer right now too much $$$ from buying the car. I'd give it a few weeks and I'll go back to stock, I just want to enjoy my 1st turbo car but dont wanna stall everytime i press the clutch or stop at lights. My HKS bov is one of the 1st series that doesnt have the adjustment bolt to tighten the valve/spring. here's the pics after install Cheers
  13. only when cold i had the problem the other day and yesterday and today as well... bare in mind i just got the car so dont know if it had this problem b4, owner reckons its all good no problemos...

I mentioned R32 in my 1st post, you thinking the problem is from my C110 but its not thats just my nick Just to clear it up I'm having this electrical problem with my R32 checked the under dash and under bonnet fuses and all good. if the parkers fuse is blown the tail light shouldnt light up right? any more advise?
  16. the car has not been driven for a while, but replace the battery with a good one still doing it. stock ECU, car is very much stock not modified yet....

  18. Im just so used to parking the car on 1st gear, its a good backup if your e-brake is not good/failed
  19. I know this will be a newbie question...Im sorry... When turbo timer is active you cant leave the gear on 1st as it will jerk and stall like normal when engine is running. So how does other people park their car and leave when engine is still on? do they park the car on neutral and just handbrake? Thanks in advance
  20. both my parkers, fog lights and front bar outer lights (driving lights) are not working just a bit weird as both sides are out to be just blown bulbs.... Tail lights and brake light works if it matters. Checked the fuses and all good. how do you remove the parkers on R32 to check/replace. Please advice. Thanks in advance
  21. Hi My R32 when started cold stalls straight away if you dont rev it as soon as you start it. What can cause this issue? thought it was a dodgy cheap ass battery but I swapped it with a good working one and same issue. Please advice Thanks
  22. Done this today, car is now registered, got my copy of import approval and compliance certificate I'm the 1st registered owner in australia COOL!!! extra happy now...
  23. south side went to Macgregor Transport centre I dont have any of the papers yet, I'll be getting the compliance cert today and import approval via email... this is what Im worried about if they'll accept this copy
  24. Hi I'm trying to register my newly acquired 1990 R32 and just got few issues with QLD Transport The car was imported privately by previous owner, but I will be the 1st owner to register. Car got complied with the Mod/Blue Plate with code L01 Aust Design Rules Comp. 1st issue no year stamp on the car's plates (jap and mod/comliance plate) 2nd Need import paperwork now what import paper work do I need to provide? I called the previous owner and he said he'll get the people who complied it to email me a copy. Now is this copy acceptable or do I need the original papers? *note I'll post this in the QLD section for reference please advice Thanks in advance
