  1. I'm pretty new in Perth and need to get my clutch replaced. Where do I go? Can someone suggest some good workshops/garages that could help me out? If you got particuarly good quality service etc I'd like to know about it. Some names, addresses and phone numbers would be sweet. Cheers
  2. Brought mine over from R'adelaide, used CEVA logisitics, I didnt have any problems with them. Its one logistics company you can consider. I have used to TOLL a lot back home and they were really quite good too

    New To Wa

Hi everyone Just moved over from SA recently and I'm keen to meet a few people and see what the scene is like here. Thought it would be a good place to start. Just got the car from the logistics company too. Finally... I was begining to miss my baby! Where do you people recommend for a nice drive? Hopefully I'll see you guys around the place Cheers
  5. I'll be boozing it up there regardless Bring on the beer
  6. Its because they have already familiarised themselves with the area/scene. So like heslo said, its not silly to expect them to be back
  7. hard evidence hey... if someone gets a ticket we can check that way anyone game??
  8. Im not concerned about the double demerit points... Im an angel on the roads plus the gtr aint registered what can i do wrong in a sillycar?
  9. Sadly, just because they are going to be charged with numerous offences, is no guarantee that they will be convicted for all of them! Life isn't fair. Its too bad you had to go through something like that.
  10. The weekend has landed! yipee time to party Enjoy the long weekend everybody! Live it up
  11. haha i found out the hard way... i had a red interior light. stupidity isnt it!?
  12. I have crap internet anyway, so makes no diff! I have mixed feelings about it... leaving home, my family, friends WAAAH But its time to move on, grow up & maybe be responsible! BAHAHA Plus, job = $$$ yay
  13. I feel that selling my car for example is like losing a limb, WAAAH. It might as well be Its never going to be easy! But I too need to sell as I am looking into getting a place (whats worse, in PERTH! super expensive!) The only good thing about it is that the company that I'll be working for takes care of all legal costs, stamp duty bla bla upto $30k... for me!!! Thats an opportunity not to miss... especially for a poor uni student like me
  14. I think that industrial/commercial areas are more targeted because there is more going on in those areas, so less chance of being noticed. People simply don't pay attention to people loitering around.
  15. Did you try TAU? They do online stuff (whole cars, boats, damaged and parts) and can probably help u locate the part. Yes they are based in Japan too.
  16. If you are condisering mines you should also consider onshore rigs (mostly oil and gas here). FIFO, ususally 2-2 rosters i think. Some of the contractors are Ensign and PDI. I did some engineering work over summer with an oil and gas company based in town and went out to the rigs SA/QLD. Looks ok. Have you thought about FIFO from mines in WA? Thats worth a look too.
  17. Someone had attempted to steal a mates car earlier this week. It was a R32, they rolled it off the driveway and down the road where they attempted to start it. They must have short circuited something however, as the car was left there with the ignition barrel stuffed. They found it in the morning. The familiar nick on the side of the door handle was there too. I can only assume that there was no alarm fitted. Northern 'burbs. More than a couple of cars that we have brought into the country in the last 6-8months have had attempted theft reports made on them. What we read/know about is probably on a fraction of the problem. People look out for you cars if you would like to keep them!! Apparently some has been apprehended by police, their prints were only linked to 50 stolen cars though so there are still plently of people out there sussing out you cars!! Be Careful Be Smart
  18. I did the same/very similar to my Japspec SSS a couple of years back. They are great cars people and a lot of fun You should check it out. GL with the sale
  19. I popped by last night to help a mate set up and I know that setup nights are always ordinary and there is no atmosphere but frankly I thought what saw (more than 50% of it anyway) was ordinary I hope the girls are more interesting than most of the cars I saw. We should be encouraging the scene (brings business hehe $$$) but at the same time we should probably make a stand on what should be a decent benchmark to enter in such events. As long as the kids are happy I guess...
  20. As much as I love my car, I would be leaning towards the honda. Purely due to running and on-going costs. Im a uni student and Im really struggling They are fun cars but do you really need one??
  21. +1 for the drycell, they definetly do the job well
  22. What sort of plastic? Polypropylene (PP)?? Try nail polish remover or something acetone based or acetone itself. Nailpolish remover will usually do the trick just fine on any plastic. Check to see that it wont react with the plastic itself first though. ( Like rub some on the back of the plastic or somewhere u cant see it). I doubt metho will work. (Ahh it pays of to be a chic sometimes )
  23. Actually, my unlce was telling me that a skyline was taken from outside his work ( a wreckers joint in that area). So it may not have been the only skyline taken that day! That really sucks!
  24. Technically its not on my car, but its related to the car---> lack of fuel efficiency. I have resorted to driving a slow prius (hybrid)
  25. Easy there! How about It-can-be-fun-with-the-right-attitude-run??
