yeah take your time let some penetrator wd40 whatever soak in for ages and then loosen the bolts, dont snap them like mine snapped. u will be mega pissed if a bolt snaps, its a bitch to get them out. you probably cant use the old dump cover thing wrapped around it, maybe if you mod it. the old turbo heatshield can probably fit on again

measured to bottom of guard lip mine is 645mm off ground all round and 345mm from centre of wheel to guard lip. probably as i said before drop it another 20mm, dont wanna get my guards rolled if i dont have to but this may be the only way. the guard lip on the fronts dont stick out as much as the rear, so they may not need to be rolled?

scary, you should have no problems finding a non turbo series1 R33 GTS manual for under $15k. Driver from these forums in Perth is selling his black GTS for $12.9k but it's auto. You could probably find a stock series1 turbo R33 auto for a little over $15k, sometimes even cheaper. But then you gotta worry about insurance too.

shuto is right, those blitz metal sus ones are stoooopidly loud. my mate had one on his r33, and it was so loud, you could hear it sucking hard even just cruising without any load at 100km/h in 5th on the freeway. hks & trust foam filters would be the 2nd loudest.

to sum the hks foam pod filters up: flow = high filtration = low

skyline are your front or rear guards rolled? im interested in knowing whether it's necessary, since this is the next step to consider if i am to lower it more. yeah got a fair amount of neg camber on the rear as it is. Ozzy that would be cool if u could measure it and u guys got any pics that show the height? cheers chris

ok thanks skylinegeoff, do you still have your plastic inner guard in? i guess ill just take mine out, my front 17x8 (235's) have spacers so they sit right out but just inside the front guards. my car looks about the same height as yours, maybe a few mm higher at the moment. Robo's yeah my sus has hardly any travel either, are your guards rolled? you able to post some pics or pm me, of your car when it was lowered? also how did u go passing EPA with your loud exhaust?

I've got an R33 GTS25t coupe, have 17x9 rims on the rear with 255/40 rubber. Suspension is tein height + damper adj coilovers, at the moment the gap between the top of the tyre and the guard lip is ~25mm, i hope to lower it about a further 20 - 25mm if possible so the guard sits just above the tyre or almost level. I have 235's on the front. Does anyone have a 33 with 255s on the back that is pretty low? Did you have to pull out the inner plastic guard on the front so it doesn't rub when you turn? Also im guessing the rear guards will have to be rolled, anyone got their rear guards rolled successfully on a 33? Chris.

p1r4t8r if the Skyline you're getting is turbo, definitely don't put anything in that is less than premium. If you are getting a non turbo though, i would still use premium, but you could probably get away with regular. who here has a non turbo GTS? what fuel do you guys run it on?

Saw this silver R33 today out front of a house, had the digicam so took a few photos. Very messed up. Check out the creases in the roof, and rear 1/4 panel from the bent chassis, when looks like the only hit was in the front. Hope the people in the car were ok.

nugget this may have nothing to do with it, but when i got my boost gauge installed, the immobiliser wasnt properly grounded, and i could drive like normal then all of a sudden no steering, car would stall unless u really press on it, and no brakes. check ur electrical shit is grounded properly. when ur driving along it may just be not touching the metal properly (grounding) when u bounce over bumps or something, and will seem normal when the car is sitting still.

R33 GTS25t SERIES 2 front bumper indicator and foglight assembly Left and Right. I'm really just after the clear glass from the front of the foglights.

any luck Black33? mine needs to come off soon, i know which nuts to undo, but where are the clips and how do you remove the clips? are there holes in the boot lid where the clips hang onto the spoiler? cheers, chris.

ok just driving down welshpool road to go left onto leach hwy, silver jza80 supra going other way, saw it had veilside front bar, big cooler and small 3 letter plate on the side first letter was J. was near your shop steve. he punched it, all i heard was ext wastegate screaming and car was gone in a flash, most crazy supra ive ever heard on the street, so damn loud and looked like it had some big balls. anyone know this car?interested to know what it has, and its power / qm time, guess it will be at the salon.
