  5. JiMiH this on sundays cruise? i was behind that RX3(i think), saw u 2 launch then u pulled over into UWA, i thought u wanted to hide after he left big snakeys at 60km/h when he changed into 2nd , he was lookin for u after that, couldnt work out where u went. that thing probably did low 12's at least. my gearbox has also become very 'easy' to shift. its got a c's short shift kit, which always felt very tight (a bit too tight, felt had to use a bit of force esp when cold), i got redline shockproof put in my gearbox about 1-2 months ago, and it's pretty much eliminated any crunches i ever got, changing into 2nd from 1st, especially when it was cold. but just in the last few weeks its become really easy to shift, which is a good thing and no crunches ever now. let us know how yours goes.
  6. MaXiMuS007 my old 33 made that noise, and this new one does it too but not as bad, most of them do. just deal with it, do it at the same time / if you need a new clutch, save some labour cost, it shouldnt affect performance unless it gets really bad.
  7. my 33gtst takes H1's
  8. GTST, good stuff, im interested to see your results once it's boxed up. hot summer days.. damn that would get hot

  16. Nizmo i got a pic for you.... Chris.
  17. ImPrOvIsE i think u got ur car complianced the same place as mine... anyway dont bother changing your oil and filter again, they oil they use is decent. i thrashed mine fairly hard every now and then, and just changed oil and oil filter at 5000km last week, oil still nice viscosity and only a little darker. ps. be careful in the rain
  18. ImPrOvIsE, if i drive, and shift at mostly 3000rpm - 4500rpm i'd probably get around 400km out of a tank, depends if you're driving on boost a lot too, be a lot different if you accelerate softly up to 5000rpm without generating much boost, than planting it from low revs to 5k. I have taken it easy for a whole tank before and managed 480km (city driving) and the fuel light had only just come on (sits on E for ages before the fuel light comes on). paul 6000rpm all the time? how often you change your oil and oil filter? chris.
  19. http://www.powerlink.co.nz/~graeme/faq/ some useful stuff here, not sure if the diagnostics work though
  20. MrR33, got any pics of your car with the boot spoiler removed? was it difficult cleaning up the boot lid after u removed it? apart from the holes...
  21. just thought i should really share this photo managed to capture quite a few members here in one shot
  22. mine did this once, when i installed a boost gauge and forgot to re-connect the ground wire from the immobiliser to the car. i could start it if i revved it and really pushed it but when i dropped the revs everything would just cut out. sounds like a similar electrical problem you are having there. mine does this very rarely, sometimes when very cold or parked on a slope overnight. i heard it's a very expensive problem to fix and not easy. pva_glue from these forums knows more about it you can pm him. i just live with mine as it hardly ever happens and if it does, goes away after a few minutes. chris
  23. sounds like a good plan INSTANT as for the turbo have a look at www.horsepowerinabox.com these prices are in $AU, don't seem too bad at all
  24. eriktufa just rub it on the outside with brasso, the dirt may look like it's on the inside but it's on the outside, and will come up like new! just don't get it on your paint
  25. NO_RSPECT, cool can he, or does he change the oil filter at the same time? my oil needs changing this week
