Just to add some info since I first started this thread - I've now got the injectors and test fitted them. The pic shows what we had to do to make them fit - was only about 0.5mm skimmed off the adapters. All i've got to do now is get the car tuned...

Probably just need to calibrate it - stole these instructions off the net. Calibration of throttle position sensor 1) Turn the key to the "OFF" position 2) Press and hold "RETURN" and "MODE" switches on the MFD at the same time. 3) Turn the key to the "ON" position while still holding down the "RETURN" and "MODE" switches 4) When the opening screen with the"GT-R logo" appears, release the "RETURN" and "MODE" switches, and click the joystick 5 times within the next 3 seconds. 5) Set the throttle gauge calibration You can also loosen the tps and rotate it slightly, but I think calibration is the go. You'll probably find that if you put it back so you get 0% at idle, you will only get 90-something percent at full throttle.

Call council. Complain Driveway crossing is not built to spec. Get them to rebuild it for free. Can now get in and out if I get the angle right without touching anything

Rb26 Base Timing - A Little Help?
Chris-06R replied to Chris-06R's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
^^ good advice. Just as a follow up, I did check it off no.1 coil and found no difference, but I'm in the process of fitting cam gears and new injectors so it will need a tune once done. Will put it back as it was and get the tuner to check it. -

Fix Your R34Gtr Mfd Multifunction Display Lcd
Chris-06R replied to Chris-06R's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
No probs for the tutorial - I figure it will get more and more popular over time. Yep, the matte finish is actually created by the plastic cover, not the film itself - Just make sure you put it back on the same way as it came off (as I mention above) -
Rb26 Base Timing - A Little Help?
Chris-06R replied to Chris-06R's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Cool, that's what I thought - mechanical/electronic base timing is independent. I used the blue loop at the back of the engine; I'll have to test it again using coil #1 I guess. I figured if it was the wrong coil/signal it would be ~60 degrees out though meaning it would either be right or way wrong. Is this the wrong assumption? -
Ok, so I'm about to throw on some cam gears so I began step one - check base timing so when I put it all back together I can set it correctly. Hooked up the timing light and something doesn't look right... Looks like its at around 27deg? (Should be 20) Is this likely? Car runs ok (except is running out of injector hence the current work ready for new injectors and a trip to the tuner) Is it possible that the harmonic balancer could be indicating the wrong timing? My power FC shows 20deg at idle and advances as I increase the revs; should the base timing there match the timing shown on the harmonic balancer? The CAS appears to be in about the right spot, not even sure what the range of adjustment is, but it appears roughly in the middle... Engine manual guide for those playing at home... Any ideas? Do I need to put the dial caliper down the spark plug hole to double check TDC/timing? Cheers!

Changed Injectors And Now Car Seems To Be In Limp Mode?
Chris-06R replied to matsonjb's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Injector swap isn't overly painful - could I suggest swapping them back to double check something else hasn't popped up? That would narrow it down to injectors only... -
For those of us that crave driving around there again, we can look forward to September/October this year when the iRacing service will be releasing their digital laser-scanned version of the track which should be accurate in every detail. Although we've had Oran in virtual form before (including the project I was part of - ) this is bound to be the best version yet in the best sim I've ever used...Oh they've also just announced they will be doing Bathurst too...

I wondered why they took that kink around the back of corporate hill out, but I think that if it was still in place there would be a lack of decent passing opportunities on the new South circuit. I guess now all the power cars will scream up the hill, down the inside of the lesser powered cars into the reshaped turn, then hold everyone up through the twisty bit. We'll see...

My Bayside Blue R34 Vspec Gtr - Finally Detailed
Chris-06R replied to iwanta34gtr's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Have you used RainX much before? I used it on my work ute a while back and it was great, for about 2 weeks. After that it made the windscreen 10x harder to clean than it originally was so I stopped using it... Am i doing it wrong? -

34Gtr Compared To Later Model Sports Cars
Chris-06R replied to scarf's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Those Euros you mentioned are very different cars to a 34 - much newer and much more expensive. You're looking at close to R35 money for those... Having never driven either of those 3 I can't comment specifically. But having driven other Euros (Audi S5, Volvo V70R) and recent GT falcons; all of those will seem alot more luxurious and refined than the GTR. The transmission in the GTR is pretty nice, but not as smooth and effortless as it is in most modern cars - feels more mechanical and notchy. As for ride, mine doesn't have stock suspension so its pretty harsh, but no other car I've driven sits as flat and planted through corners as the GTR (that said I haven't driven any supercars or small late model sports cars). Overall, you will find many cars that do everything better, more comfortably and cheaper than a GTR, but if you really want one, you don't have to justify anything... -
Love your car - can you please consider some flares for it? Would definitely swap cars with you if you did...

Rays Te37Sl Te37 18X10 +20 For Sale
Chris-06R replied to Chris-06R's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I like this ^^ Nobody seems to want wheels AND tyres so team up with a mate and split the set. I'm going to have to look at separate pricing pretty soon if nobody wants the set... -
Bad luck, you guys running the hr31 or 32 or both?

Rays Te37Sl Te37 18X10 +20 For Sale
Chris-06R replied to Chris-06R's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Thanks for the interest all! At this stage I would rather sell the rims with tyres - and my best price is $3800. I may lower the price a touch in the future, or I may decide to split the tyres and rims; but are you prepared to risk missing out? First with the cash gets them! -
Hey all, Selling a set of TE37 Super Laps in 18x10 +20 offset. Almost new condition (check the pics) with not a scratch on them. Come with Yokohama AD-08 tyres in 285/30/18 which have only done around ~2500km. Also come with a set of Rays wheel nuts in red, with lock nut and socket. $3800, and I'm in south-west Sydney. May consider selling the rims without the tyres if the offer is right. Contact via P.M. please.

Pretty sure Robinson was rolling well before the lights went green in the last race but I saw no drive through penalty for that...
