The pipe in the top of the front mount kit shown is the pipe that replaces the one my bov is on, and joins to the pipe off the throttle body. Correct me if Im wrong but pretty sure thats right. All the kits, ive seen, cheap ones included join there, run across the fan shroud area and down the side that currently has no pipes (right hand side of car). Which then joins onto one on the right hand side of cooler and the left hand side pipe joins to standard pipe which then runs to turbo??? Can anyone confirm this.?

Yeah ive had k n N filters before too, they are good. Just thinking maybe the dry type shit now that everyone goes on about the oil killing afm's??

Hey guys. I have a hks mushroom pod and the filter foam need replacing desperately. Is it worth paying $50 for more foam or I can get apexi power intake pod for $85 new. I know the apexi is the dry type filter but ive heard nothing but good things about the hks pods. Whats best??

Yeah but what im saying is when I get my front mount, the pipe its on now will be replaced should I get it put back on that new pipe. Or put it in the standard position where the standard bov still remains? If I put it on the new cooler pipe should I leave the standard blow off valve the way it is? It has a metal plate between it and the inlet pipe.

Because it doesnt fit. Need an adaptor What have other people used to block the plumb back pipe off with....Anyone know?

Hey all, getting a front mount kit for my r33 and after some advice/knowledge. The pipe my bov is currently on shown in picture is going to be replaced. The other pic shows the kit I am getting, or similar so where is the best place to now put my bov? Would it be better to leave the standard one connected (metal plate blocks the bottom where it joins the intake to stop it functioning) and just get a new adaptor welded to the new pipe if so should I completely disconnect the stock bov or is the plate sufficient enough. Or should just get an adaptor to suit standard position. My main concern is what do I do with the vaccum lines left over if I move the bov and disconnect stock one. I will have the plumback pipe sitting there for the stock bov and the line that connects the the blitz one left doing nothing. I dont know where they should be going if I move the bov, as it was already the way it is when I got the car. If you can get ya head around what I just said help me out please. Yeah Its just the standard dump I have, I have the 3inch Jasma front pipe I will get onto replacing it. Whats better? 2.5Inch split ebay stuff or like a 3 inch single pipe exhaust shop job??

So its much better than standard (disregarding lag etc)? Both cars I have owned hve been turbo and Ive never upped the boost/changed a turbo before so have never had an idea of how big the increase is.

How does the highflow compare to the std turbo? How noticable is it and how much diff in pwer?

Thanks mate, nicely set out for a learner like myself! Are the sliding perfromance highflows just standard highflowed turbos, if so will it be fine to just throw one right on?? Are they ball bearing?and a direct replacement item? Where can I find info on them guys.

Thanks heaps man, where are the safc's sold? I can do all the labour myself at work/home. Will need the safc installed and a tune done elsewhere. The safc 2 is on ebay for about $400 good price or not?

Thank you heaps for the help so far guys, its opened my eyes a bit! As I said still learning about it all so sorry if I ask stupid questions. Ok so, if "light" driving and just taking it easy in the car for a while as I do anyway, will I get away with the following, while I save for the rest. 1. No frount mount.2.Standard clutch ( when you say my clutch should be replced is this because its going to slip from more power? Or your all just assuming im going to be drifting and doing burnouts?)3.Standard fuel system.4. Piggy back ecu ( IS that what the SAFC does?) I have a turbo back exhaust (with standard dump pipe), Blow off valve, 2 way locked diff, Pod, so when saying stock I meant just had the usual sorta mods. Ok so what I really want to know as simply as you can put it, is this. 1.What are the bare necesseties I need (Try help me out with specific brands, and direct replacement turbos please or if its a better option to highflow mine?) 2.Around how much am I looking at (approx) 3. And where can I get it installed in brisbane! (and cost to do so) I can do the turbo, Thank you so much guys your really helpin me out here. Hey all, my turbo blew on my 33 series 1 yesterday and it obviously needs to be replaced. Im wanting to replace it with something bigger/better or get mine highflowed and rebuilt. Got a few questions 1. How much am I looking at for a rebuild and to get mine highflowed. Im in Brisbane any good places? 2. I will have a budget of around 1k for a new one, what turbo should I be looking at getting for this price? 3. How vital is it to get your car tuned if I replace it with an aftermarket turbo? (I have standard everything) Any other helpful advice you wanna pass on to me about replacement turbos etc would be very much appreciated guys. Still learning about it all.... Thanks for your time. Hey guys blew standard turbo on my r33 series 1. Looking to replace with something bigger or highflowed that will still bolt up to standard flanges and stuff without modifiacation. Let me know what you got even if its just a standard one. Cheers Jamie

Hey guys, after a few things for my r33. Mostly universal stuff but if you got anything at all whether it be stock or aftermarket parts let me know. *Boost Gauge- Really am after a good brand ie Autometer but throw me all offers. *Boost Controller- After a cheap t piece preferrably turbosmart and if anyones got a dual stage id prefer that over anything. *Dump pipe- After a 3inch (preffered) dump pipe from the turbo to the front pipe. If you have a dump/front pipe in one dont hesitate to name a price. Will consider a screamer/dump pipe if thats all you got. *HKS Foam Refill- After the refill for the HKS mushroom pod. Let me know if you have the foam itself or even a whole filter for a reasonable price. (WILL CONSIDER OTHER BRAND FILTERS TOO) *Seat covers- If anyone has any new or good condition ones let me know. *Strut bar- Offer me whatever you have *Air intake AND/OR Pod heatshield- After a pod heatshield that requires no cutting/modifying in any way. Can be custom/bulk made new or second hand as long as it does the job! And I dunno about air intakes if you got anything from the turbo to pod as i have seen a few 3 inch ones floating around. Let me know if you have this or somethin similar. *Cluster El gauge things- Whatever you wanna call them, the white faced gauges that fit over or replace the standard speedo cluster gauges. If youve got some or know of a shop/place that makes them for a reasonable price let me know. They are around $80 on ebay so if all else fails I'l just get some from there. *Short shifter kits- Let me know if you have/know of a reasonable quality one. Prefer brand new or if second hand I'd want a known brand. Also on ebay cheap but look fairly crappy quality so i'm after a better one. Im sure there is more I might post more up soon.
