  1. when you replace the clutch can you please post up the specs of the clutch you used? 6 or 9 bolt clutch cover clutch diameter (225mm or 240mm) and push/pull type? ive been wondering exactly what sort of clutch the r34 2.5l n/a runs cheers
  2. im just suggesting a different idea and seeing what peoples opinions are. thats cool if you think its 'pedantic' shorter intercooler piping and better flow sounds like advantages which are worth the effort if a half width alloy radiator will be enough for engine cooling.
  3. airflow through the radiator and intercooler. radiator behind intercooler gets warm air, and less because of the ic. ic gets less flow because of the radiator blocking air behind it etc
  4. i was thinking of running a different intercooler setup. half size radiator with the intercooler beside it, shorter piping and better flow
  5. as above r32 gtr front bumper without the lip. preferably in gunmetal grey!! anyone got any pics?? cheers
  6. http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=1722429 many many more here : http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t...747&page=26 lots running 300fwkw+ daily drivers. id imagine the same heat is produced from the 6cyl vs the 4cyl, since heat is generated by fuel combusting. so same heat output if youre making say 300hp whether it be from a 6cyl 2.5 or 4cl 1.8.
  7. r33 rb25de/t r34 rb20 r34 rb25de/t
  8. i know mitsi turbos can run on oil only, water is not required even tho it is hooked up from factory. Cheers
  9. as above Cheers i want to swap to 370cc injectors. so i thought i would bolt the whole assembly from the r33.
  10. ive asked the same question before. if you check out the rb30 dyno thread, there is someone who ran a rb20 turbo. i would think there would be problems with the internal gate flowing enough?
  11. yep, r34 rb25de into my r32 coupe. have just bought a shift light to control the vct. will hook it up using some funky electronics stuff which i have not much clue about lol.
  12. cheers for the reply. I have rigged up a crude vct switch and there is a noticeable increase in midrange when activated. will have to sort out a proper system later...
  13. motorkhana ended up being on grass so didnt even need to change out a set. lol. good fun though
  14. motorkhana, should be fine then cheers
  15. old tires and rims can i just pump them up and then go to an event>?] Cheers
  16. I can probably do this the next time the car is up on stands. You info above though suggests that the clutch set up is identical to the r34 GTT setup. this would make finding an upgraded clutch a lot easier.
  17. my vct isnt working because I'm running a r32 loom and ecu. I know the peak power is the same as vct is turned off in the higher rev range. was just wondering if anyone had some dyno plots so i could see the midrange difference.
  18. nope, lots of highly modified hondas run half size radiators. they come factory with a half width radiator, so upgrade to an alloy thicker version. allows fitment of a large turbo. ive seen the setup on evo's as well. will have a search tonight for some examples. surely if I use a core twice a thick as a standard radiator and made from a more heat conductive material, i can have the same cooling efficiency as a full width thin factory radiator?
  19. how much power am i losing since my vct is not working? anyone had a dyno run with and without vct? cheers
  20. idiots. the file name and location of hte file says its a gtx. you can tell a gtr from the huge factory turbo, vented bonnet, front bumper, sparse interior. they are quite rare. they have very strong engines from factory. its a shame about the fragile gearboxes, or so i've heard
  21. 80-90 degrees. good to know im in the range
  22. sorry if i missed it, what turbo are you running? good figures for a de+t
  23. has anyone here had any experience using a half size (width) alloy radiator with their skyline? I'm considering a different intercooler/radiator setup and the half width radiator frees up more room in the engine bay. I have seen these being used on turbocharged hondas running lots of power, mitsi evo's and other fwd cars to fit large turbos. they are thicker than factory radiators and aluminium dual/triple cores? the cooling ability should be sufficient????
  24. thanks for getting that info. do you know what that part number clutch means though? e.g. clutch diameter, cover bolts, push/pull type etc?
  25. cheers. any advantages of finding a manual ecu?
