  1. a tuneable ecu is a good idea. invest in that, and go back to the dyno
  2. sounds like something is wrong there. is your engine healthy? do you have an air fuel plot of that dyno run?
  3. oil pumps for the turbo oil return is only used when the turbo is mounted lower than the place the oil is being returned to (i.e. the sump). the turbo will be mounted in factory position meaning that gravity will return the oil to the block/sump. i was asking about whether the block was drilled and tapped for the turbo oil return line (factory return goes back into the block above the sump). apparently no, so i was asking about the downsides of returning the turbo oil drain to the lower sump as this is a part that can be removed and drilled and tapped a lot more easily than the block itself. hope this clears up any misunderstanding r34gtfour - thanks for your reply
  4. the rear seat base was a bitch to come out! there are some metal hooks which clip into the chasiss, dont come out very easily at all!!!
  5. im buying a r33 r200 diff, seller asks if i want the 2 bolt backing plate or 4 bolt backing plate? i want to fit the diff into my r32 gts25 (5x1 axles) which backing plate do i want? cheeers!
  6. cheers for the reply... it was cramped in there and i got really frustrated pulling at it with no clue on how it was gona come out lol
  7. got into the cramped cabin, tried pulling at the seat. decided to find out where the bolts clips are before going back and taking it out can someone let me know how to do this properly? cheers
  8. downsides of returning to sump? i heard things about poor drainage
  9. how about returning to the sump? any problems there?
  10. Thanks for the reply. logic seems to indicate that most of the car is distributed evenly between left and right apart from there being a driver which upsets things. the driver being mid front right, the obvious place to put weight would be mid rear left.
  11. is the block already tapped? with a bung in it?
  12. yes that would be ideal but i dont have the access to corner weighting equipment
  13. any reasoning behind this? if i dont know the weight distribution, best to centre it?
  14. ive seen coilovers modified in this way to fit either car. cons are decreased strength due to dodgy welding job. another con could be misalignment
  15. being able to run higher pressures on a smaller engine makes sense if the ceramic wheels fail because of excessive rpm. since the engine is smaller (smaller volume to fill) the turbocharger can rotate at lower rpm to produce a certain pressure. heat will probably also be an issue. running lean even at a known 'safe' psi can end in high exhaust gas temperatures and premature turbo exhaust wheel failure.
  16. thanks for the reply. so the search continues!!! if anyone disputes this please post up or else ill be buying r32/r33 abs lsd diff!
  17. relocating the battery. where should i put it to balance out the car? the car will be stripped out for track days. no aircon and no hicas. was thinking rear left as mid right will have driver upsetting weight balance.
  18. dropping the attessa is definitely a reason to just go for the gtst in the first place but if you're a race team and have the budget for it, the increased front and rear track, plus factory chassis strengthening might be enough to start with a gtr base instead of a gtst base
  19. does anyone know what the r34 rb25de air flow meter is
  20. here are some pics seems to be a 5x1 r200 with abs. can someone please confirm? cheers
  21. r34 rb25de head will the following fit: r33 rb25det exh manifold r34 rb25det exh manifold will any other stock turbo manifolds fit? cheers
  22. I think you might be right there the plate in the engine bay reads RE5R01A RC35 does that mean i can swap in a gtst diff? r32 or r33? do i need to get an abs diff or will it not matter? cheers for the reply
  23. which year did the reinforced door come out as? And how much more weight? cheers
  24. im trying to decide between r32 gtr rim or r33 gtr rims for my r32 coupe cheers!!!
