  1. Hey guys, popped down to my local bunnings yesterday and they had several sizes available. Can anyone shed some light on which size sheet they bought as they only had clear, red or blue in stock and would need to order black. There was a $39 but it looked too small to bend into shape. (can see OP spent $40 but not sure if same size). The next size was $59 (iirc)..
  2. Just got of the phone. Basically they said if I did have an accident/claim, then it might be a little harder to do or they might not cover. So I she started a new policy in her name, and I went on as an additional driver. Cheers.
  3. Hey Guys, So my GF has a car which she purchased with finance (and is still repaying etc). At the moment I'm driving it to and from work (5 days a week). I've purchased full comprehensive insurance in my name to cover me driving, is this correct even though its registered in her name? I purchased it online (NRMA). I'm planning to ring them on Monday and see if I'm still covered if I have an accident etc. I'm now curious to know, if anyone has been in a similar situation, if the car was written off, would I; a) get paid out for the agreed amount? b) does the payout cover her finance or what would happen in this situation? Just wondering before the NRMA give me some bad news hahah Cheers.
  4. I would like to see what level of boost increase you would see though. I don't think the 1mm bleed hole would let out nearly enough boost pressure, compared to if the ball and spring was there to restrict flow, and increase boost.
  5. You do realise the ball and spring are whats needed to "trick" the actuator into creating more boost? So removing both well render the boost controller useless and you will run wastegate pressure.
  6. Not sure if HKS make an RB adjustable wastegate actuator (if they do get one). Otherwise an Electronic Boost Controller (EBC) might be able to compensate for the boost drop?

  8. Forward Facing Plenum looks factory fit on the Rb20! Great build on all cars involved
  9. Lucky you got the compression test done. Before the new motor is put in, replace and hoses/gaskets that are in hard to reach places when in the car.
  10. See how that picture is taken from one of the pipe after the intercooler (i.e between intercooler to throttle body)... Have you inspected the intercooler and or any pipes directly after the turbo to see if there is any build up there?
  11. Man I'd be happy with a 12 first time. I think 10.99 you need a cage? Good effort though
  12. Get a compression test & or leak down test. Also since its been driven since you changed the coolant; 1) check the level 2) check for oil mixing/residue. I don't think the turbo is the issue.
  13. Not sure why you replaced the turbo? Have you checked the condition of the coolant? i.e any oil building up?
  14. unblock it so its running exactly like stock and see if it changes things...
  15. What Plattsy said. Basically, if you start modding it and they begin to break down then yeah you should replace. OEM work fine, I'd only buy Splitfire if they are a good price. Any coil pack will break down when they get older and older. Some cars might make 300+ before the coils give issues, others even stock will start to die.

  17. I have a Kaaz 2-way, though unsure on ratio lol. Umm it was only a brief chat as it was right on closing. I'm sure if I had a good talk I could discuss cam gears, and E85 hehe
  18. Roy, 17" XR4 Longchamps. umm 8cm and no cam gears.
  19. There you go boys...
  20. Roy is that graph a 20g or 18g? JEM recommended a FFP to lower intake temps. Worthwhile mod? Doesnt look like its making more power, just brought the curve forward (less lag) is this correct?
  21. What boost tee (brand)? What gauge? I'd be removing the boost tee if it's seeing 22psi..just to be safe. Take a pic of how you have installed it.
  22. the hose that you can see in the second pic connected to the waste gate actuator, is the one you will be wanting to cut and putting your boost tap in-line with.
  23. Not sure if srs? GTSboy would have to be one of the most "switched on" guys on this forum... Dude I had a similar noise in my R32, with stock turbo. Ran 12-14psi and it sounded like a cop siren when coming onto boost. I opted to swap to the RB25 turbo and noise disappeared (good bang for buck mod).
