Bonkers: how long after the test did you recieve it? I was told 7days except its been longer. NRV15S: They wont defect you for not passing. The aftermarket may or may not have bad effects, test it for yourself. It was also easier for me to return to the standard smic because my car is running rich (power fc) and was cheaper to buy then get it tuned. I also left my fmic attched to the car but disconnected my piping. The dude at Campbelltown noted it on the test sheet and took various photos to show.

Its my understanding a standard airbox is there to stop back fires "igniting/sparking" a fire within the engine bay. I also believe standard boxes keep the induction noise to a minimum. And from what I've read around the forums/internet. Adding a pod filter changes the amount of air the engine sees. Although the ecu compensates for this with extra fuel, I believe it would still change the emissions, as its all happening at a different time rather then factory settings. So I would imagine you would have to build and prove that a pod "box" is capable of fulfilling the above while meeting epa/emission standards.

I spoke to Peter at Campbelltown about the same issue and he was very polite and explained the situation thoroughly to me. I will be adressing my letter next week hopefully.

maybe throw up a rough price for general service (oil/filter/plugs), then maybe a diff oil/trans oil change, to things like links/bushes/suspension just to give people an idea. Seems like timing belts are your thing , rough price to get one changed? maybe even turbo swaps/manifold swaps, not everyone needs work right now, but if something where to come up then its always a good reference. will keep you in mind, if im unable to do it myself

I got pulled up on monday. HWP said I will be getting a letter for exhuast and pod. Need to go to a dedicated inspection station for them to take photos, send them to the EPA and compare to pictures they have of standard car. I also have fmic and the dude at the inspection station said I need everything returned to stock or proof it complies with ADR's. Without getting a emission test, is there anything on the net/or here that states that front mounts are adr compliant. I dont have factory smic, and its a last resort to scrabble around getting all the items.
