My R34 GTT Sedan was written off, the boot is totally smashed in (rear ended), the bonet is also useless, but engine and everything else all good. Do you think it would be worth buying back wreck from Insurance as I think I have the option to do so, not yet sure how much it would be. But was just wondering how much a front cut could be sold for, it also had NISMO front bumper which actually survived the crash, it also has some 18" Black/Chrome Lip rims, which also survived the crash. Hey All, Just wondering what rotors are needed for R34GTT, not sure what series fits the R34, was looking at the DBA Slotted 4000 series? I'm located in WA, anyone know best place to purchase these, or even any online places to purchase? Also was advised the tyre rod ends? need replacing, are these easy to do? have replaced rotors before, but never Rod Ends?, I assume they mean the ball joints? Cheers?

Hey All, I am a nitwit when it comes to electrics/auto-electrics I have installed my boost guage and got it all working, however have no idea how to correctly hook up the power for the back light. I have a R34 GTT and mainly used automatic headllights (so I dont have to ever worry about leaving lights on and having flat battery etc) How could I hook up my boost guage so that the back light powers when the automatic headlights turn on? Any help would be great, thanks. Cheers.

Hey All, My car (r34 (GTT) was de-badged last night, the two side GT badges where taken. I was wondering where I am able to get replacements, done a bit of a search through websites and ebay etc, and have had no luck. I guess you could get them through Nissan maybe? Thanks in advance

Hey I am taking my car down for a 1/4 mile tomorrow night. My car is a R34 GTT Auto/Tiptronic. It is basically stocks besides an exhuast. I guess I will find out on the night, but does anyone have any experimented already to determine whether faster to chuck it into full auto, or use the tiptronic. Kind Regards, Glenn

Yes have read the first 20 pages or so, then gave up. 1. I did not read anywhere in regards to oil pressure and what it should be. 2. Most posts seem to be from members who may not have alot of knowledge/experience in regards to which is the best oil for a particular car/situation. It's cool, do not worry.

Hey Everyone, I have a R34 GTT, which has the factory oil pressure gauge, first question, are these guages any good? and what are the normal readings the pressure should sit at under different situations? I have no idea if my current pressure is acceptable or not. Also just need need a recommendation on a good oil to use (which can be readily found), from someone who is genuinely in the know in this regards. (Car has done 96,000K, normally do 350-400K a week, many small trips, have have a bit of a lead foot.) I know my car is coming up for its 100K service soon, but I am doing a 1/4 mile run in a couple of weeks, so want to have some fresh oil and filter in there for it. Thanks in advance

For anyones interest, the R34 4 Door, all four tail lights are supposed to be on, and again both when braking. I added new twin-filamanet (previously were single) globes into the top globe socket of my inner tail lgihts, and it is now all working.

Hi Thanks for the reply, however the inner lights themselves have two globes, why would the inner lights have two globes? if they are simply for braking ? Anyone else have a R34 4 Door that can confirm that the inner lights are simply for braking?

Hey all, I have recently purchased a 4DR R34 skylines GTT. However I have just noticed that the inner rear lights are not working, they work when applying brake however, in normal operation only the outer lights light up. I assume all 4 lights should all work when headlights turned on..?! The inner rear lights have two globes (not double filament), the braking globe works fine, however tried replacing the 2nd globe on both inner lights, but no go. I was not really able to read the inside fuse panel, however checked all fuses and there did not seem to be any blown ones, so not sure what else to check?? Anyone have any ideas? Anyone know where I can find an English diagram to the fuse panel? Thanks in advance.

Hey All, Thanks again to the people who organized the cruise. Was my first Skyline Cruise, been on lots of other cruises and this was very well behaved, not many idiots besides the people in the commodores. I left after the 3rd meet point, so did not make it to Midland, I left before the cops started blocking off the entry/exit however, I did see them attend the randoms fighting at the service station near by though haha Alot of nice cars, they have given me lots of ideas of rims ,etc to have done to my car. One of the highlights was the Fog , that was awesome, was so EERIE (like someone else has said) Again, thanks all... Bring on a nice clear day cruise...

Yeah I use around 12-14L per 100K's, that is mainly city driving taking it easy (but not like a Nanna) and a bit of enthusiastic driving. My fuel light usually come on at around 380km, with at least 15L left in tank.

If a turbo does blow, besides the obvious and needing a new turbo, what other problems does a blown turbo create? Do parts from the turbo, get spit through the engine ?

Hey, I have a R34 GTT. I have never used a tiptronic transmission before, so when driving vigorously, I assume you hold the accalerator flat when changing gears with tiptronic. However I have found it takes quite sometime to actually change gears when high in rev range. I have found that when taking foot off the accelerator, just before changing gears with tiptronic helps changing gears alot quicker, however obviously losing a bit of momentum. How have others found tiptronic and how do you change gears. Regards.
