Hi mate, My uncle drives a R34 GT-R VSPEC... his car got involved in a front-on collission a while back and hence, the front bar together with the grill and authentic GT-R badge was damaged. He has fixed his car now needs a new GT-R badge... can you please advise where we can get one? I seen it on ebay and some car shops a couple of times but have not been able to locate it again... he's after not just the flat-looking badge that goes at the back... but the front one - the that kinda puffs out a bit.... (see pic) any idea where to purchase one? Thanks.

Sorry to see that mate... I only banged the back of my car and that nearly made me cry in terror... I feel for you.... look on the bright side, it's all cosmetics... will be expensive to fix, but slowly you will get it all fixed... it's not totally impossible! It's a Bomex Kit, no such thing as a Bermex unless it's some custom shit and someone's called it that.

Everyone for themselves, but I think the series II foggies looks yuk! I suggest a standard GT-R front bar with an matt black bottom lip... simple, but tough as!!

I don't think a Pod will do you harm... the VIC law states that you can only have 1 air-induction modification.

You don't have to have Nismo parts on your car in my opinion - NISMO is Nissan's Racing Arm; hence you are saying my Nissan Skyline is of race-type and hence I sport it's racing team's emblem and colours - nothing wrong with this, is there? But having GT-R badges on a GTS-T is a different story.

I'm no panel beater by a long shot; but a mate is and basically they'll have to cut and remove the quarter-panel from the wheel-arch leading to the side window section and then take it from the back as well...

I would talk to www.jetspeed.com.au as they do a good job with kits and they do have the trust front bar!

Thanks for the tips fellas... I spent over 1 hour and finally have a really top-looking GT-R-style front lip... I primed it twice then gave it 3 coats of matt black paint... turned out awesome!!

Although it's only a small dint, they'll have to remove the whole quater-panel, fill it up and then repaint it in 2-pak paint; it should cost you around $350 in my opinion. There are many good panel beaters in the western suburbs; go for a drive down Myintyre road in the sunshine/braybrook area and you will see many. Good luck, let me know how you go.

I am going to paint my bottom lip tomorrow from goldie yellow to matt black... I am thinking of priming it down then sand it out all rough edges then prime again but a few layers of paint before going gloss... is this right?

Call come the Civic Compliane office in your state, give your rego details and explain you want to check if you have been red-lighted - they will transfer your call to a traffic cameras officer and he/she can tell you right there and then. Normally within 48 hours all fines are registered so you can check. I do it some times when I want to be sure... but note that if they say you're booked, you can't dispute the fine until it arrives.
