Imagine how it would feel to have your ride crushed? More here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9K5IPl43vQM -
Firstly to moderators... this thread is not to condone, support or encourage illegal street racing - quite the opposite. I have had a couple of friends die in terrible street races so this thread is to actually discuss ways to stop street racing... Below are some of the things people are doing in the U.S, your opinions?

Best Looking R33 Gt-r, I've Seen...
Spunky Munky replied to Spunky Munky's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Yeah, that's a fair comment. You guys notice with sports cars nowadays, everything looks crazy as it is stock... pumped guards, big rims that cover archers, nice lights, tough looking stock wing etc... that's why most new cars, the Skyline GT-R included, doesn't really need much done to them. -

Agreed and respect to that, champ. But the topic was a bout best looking GT-R.... can't say this is the best looking GT-R though with full respects to it's credentials. -
Of course, champ... strip a 1985 Datsun and put a set of massive turbo-chargers and extra goodies and you can make it fly... but the question was, how would a GT-R Skyline match up to today's supercars... we're taking the Skyline in it's prime-time and ploking it into today's scene... no chance... no chance whatsoever. But sure, I agree with you - flash it up a bit and of course it will own. Turbos always rule in the high-end compared to V8's no doubt.

My Skyline Is About To Die

Mate, keep calm although I can appreciate how you are feeling now.... Have you hoist or jacked the car up and looked at all the hoses and piping? This happened to a mate's car too, it turned out that his intercooler pipping was not fastened tightly enough... for the purpose of the exercise, I would check all hoses / piping and then reset the ECU. The thing with the BOV is that a lot of people get it for the sound etc without realising that if the turbo leaks, this can be a huge problem on the long run... check your BOV too, make sure everything is fastened tightly as possible... then turn on the car and let it idle for like 15 minutes... then take it for a spin around your block... this should solve the issue. Also check your coilpacks too... good luck... don't freak out... Just learn from this lesson.... don't fix it unless it's broken. Good luck!! -
That's a fair point. Yeah, you gotta wait for the right one - make sure you check it carefully etc - they're rare, but doesn't mean all older GT-R's are old bombs... depends on previous owners.
-
Fellas, and this is not aimed at R32 owners... the car is old as a sack of potatoes; it's like 15 years old for god's sake... also, with a turbo, everyone man and his dog has trashed the living daylights out of it either on track or off it, so when you go and decide to buy a R32 GT-R or another other older car for that matter; face the music that the likelihood of spend a small fortune on fixing it is quite high. R32 are nice cars no doubt, but with older cars you gotta be prepared for it to potentially cost you an arm and a leg. That's just how it is. Personally and I stressed this is totally personal, I would rather get a R33 by spending a bit more...

Now firstly, this thread is not meant to disrespect anyone but more so to hear everyone's take on this issue. It's becoming way too often that I see, GTS's and GTS-T's wearing the GT-R badge in a way that it just makes me wonder why aren't they proud of what they got and seriously... do they think everyone are that clueless? For example, I drive a fairly heavily-modified R33 GTS-T - I think I can either beat a stock GT-R or at least keep up to it so why should I even try to badge my car as a GT-R? I'm proud of what I got and wouldn't have it any other way. If I wanted a GT-R and can afford one etc, I would gladly go and buy a GT-R instead of rebadging my GTS-T as a GT-R. I mean, how silly would it be if someone asks... "hey mate, nice car but is it a real GT-R?" If one answers yeah mate, it is alright and then they person was to be a cluey bloke and picks out things to the contrary e.g. no pumped guards, no brembo caliper brakes, no GT-R genuine front lip etc, then wouldn't I look like a total dick? On the otherhand, if I sayd yes and he fell for it, that's the same thing as saying I'm not proud of what I got but am gladly to fake it anyways! I'm confused. I mean, I have no issues with GTS-T's and GTS's putting on GT-R frontbars, sideskirts etc as the look is nice, but badging it as a GT-R - I think this is pushing the line a bit, your thoughts on this?? How many "Mock Ups" have you soon around lately?? Need I say more: http://www.flickr.com/photos/van/690065215/ Cheers.

Best Looking R33 Gt-r, I've Seen...

No doubt very clean and tough looking. However, looks like every other GT-R's out there... wouldn't call it a head turn imo. But very nice, owner should be proud. -
Best Looking 'nismo' Badge I Have Seen...
Spunky Munky replied to Spunky Munky's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
That's it, mate... I really cannot stand GTS-T's with GT-R badges... firstly, it's just trying to be what you're not and secondly not being proud of what you got... so yeah. -

For those that want an alternative to say a GT-R badge, why not get a Nismo badge... Check it out: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...A:IT&ih=006 Your thoughts? -
Look at the R34 in Fast and Furious and do stripes like that one... keep it simple
-
Without the specifics, it's hard to tell you what exactly needs to be done the right way... however, some times the wires for thos tacho dials might be broken and hence sparking some time for shortcircuit... I would take everything out again and see if the car runs better... if so, then get a replacement for those Tachos...

If Skylines Were Never Invented
Spunky Munky replied to shepo's topic in General Automotive Discussion
If I'm not a proud owner of my Skyline, I would have to say I'd be a S15 owner... glad I'm not though... -
Remember fellas, we're talking about 2006-2007 SPEC V8 SUPER CARS.... if you take a 6 Cylinder Skyline GT-R that was produced like 10+ years ago and put it in the competition... it will have no chance... each Super Car is fine tuned and built with today's latest technology and is worth like $80K each or more... what chance does a Skyline have... I hate to say it... but if Skylines were to rule again, it will have to be a revamped, newly released Skyline with all the current technologies to stand up to these Monsters... Godzilla was not is...
