Tell Me What Kind Of Front Bar And Wing?
Spunky Munky replied to seraphyn_r33's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Since you just want a front bar and a wing ... let's not even talk about anything else. Here's what I suggest... A GT-R front (has a very good hole of the intercooler) and a Jun rear wing perhaps. You may notice that nearly every man and his dog has a GT-R front bar and a GT-R wing... perhaps you might want to look a little different. I know I did. -
Your Valued Opinions On My New Front Bar?
Spunky Munky replied to superspit's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
It's nice bro - but if only the bottom lip was painted another colour, e.g. something darker... then it would look sexy.... also, black rims on a white car - no go imo, I would suggest you go something like dark grey, crome or silver etc... just my 2 cents. -

You will need to a converter and light charger to power the HID lamps. If you do not know anything about HID kits - I suggest you should get it done by a qualified fitter. You can get the guys like Autobarn, Strathfields etc to install it for you - labour would be around $120, I think. By the way, just so that you know - HID'S are not approved for road use and you may be stopped by the cops. Cheers,

check here... www.carmate.com - they have pretty much all stock in Australia, so if they do not have it, I doubt it that other suppliers will.

If you read the road and traffic authorities handbook of your state - it would clearly tell you what Foglights can only be turned on when... it is foggy, in raining conditions or when the visibility of the road is impaired and therefore needs additional lights. You can get pulled over for this - I would not turn them on ever so often, mate.

Not too fellas, as long as you go for a name brand - ebay or otherwise is fine... I would recommend HKS, Greddy, GFB or Monza... note: remember to get an adapter unit or you may not be able to install it right. good luck

Andy - that's good that you've decided to source high quality badges mate - but you should get a fixed price and advise us how much postage will be and what forms of payment you will take etc. Upon receipt of the above information, I'm sure a few of us will buy. Cheers, -
Many thanks fellas. Yeah, I had a very good good of the manual today and also spent much time on Vicroads website etch, and it seems that GPS are ok as they only detect fixed locations - hence, this is ok. mine does just that so I guess I am safe. I drive 5 k's below the speed limit at most times now, but it's just good to know so you can be extra careful to avoid fines. However, does anyone have the above confirmation in writing somehwere - e.g. a website URL? I keep all my legal documents in my car now just in case I get checked by the cops. Just covering my back. Cheers fellas.

Hey fellas, Was just wondering if anyone knows whether in-car speed / red light and police radar detecting devices are legal on Australian roads? I've spoken to Vicroads, some police patrol officers and friends and all seem to hold the following belief suggesting that 'yes' they are legal as long as they are used for the right purposes... "They are legal equipment to enhance road safety - it is the intention of the police via the use of cameras and radar devices to limit deaths on our roads - hence, with or without the aid of additional instruments - it is expected that one obey road laws and requirements whilst driving on Australian roads..." If we based it on the above; I guess these in-car detection devices are legal then as they further enhance our awareness of the speed we are travelling, local speed limits and further assist us to becom safe drivers? Is this correct fellas? I just bought a Uniden GPS 301 RSWS - it's damn good, detects everything including blackspots (dangerous, accident-prone zones) - and warns you of a camera/radar pod from as far as 600 metres away. Very good and has helped me heaps. Moreover, they are so widely obtainable - e.g. Tom Tom One G2, if you pay an extra $150.00 or something can have this feature installed too - so is this legal or illegal?? Cheers,

Sick Of Owning A Modified Car And The Associated Hassle
Spunky Munky replied to MANWHORE's topic in New South Wales
Bro., How you feel is exactly how I am feeling. Unfortunately the law has become much harsher throughout the years and I guess owning a modified vehicle does accompany various headaces. I drive a GTS-T R33 - it' got full GT-R Kit, GT-Wing, frontmount, CAI, Pod-Filter, Haltec ECU, Bosch Fuel pump, Greddy BOV, 3.5 inch HKS turbo-back exhaust etc - I have been defected (canaried) 3 times inthe last 12 months - I have racked up over $2,000 worth of infrindgement notices and speeding fines. It's come to a point where on some days I really just wanna sell it and buy a Toyota Camry or something and just call it a day. However, like you - my love my ride is very deep. The hours of work I've put it, the time-consuming effort I have spent on customising it etc really means alot to me and therefore I really cannot sell my 'beast' just like that. Let me tell you, I only bring my car out on the weekends - it'll have to be before 3pm as at that time people hardly go out and therefore less cops patrolling etc - there are certain areas I am scarred shitless to bring my car too - and when I drive, I'm always constantly checking my mirrors in fear of the cops. I am literally going "insane" and think I am now paranoid. Look, to the coppers defense, the road toll has increased heaps in the last 10 years or so - many young people have died on Australia's roads and therefore it is extremely hard someone young driving a sports car to not be stopped and hassled. Moreover, due a minority of "dickheads" out there - the majority of descent drivers who just enjoy their rides and often drive safely on the road have been affected. Unfortunately to the cops; a Skyline, WRX or Clubsport is a top-notch Sports Car and therefore they will stop you at every corner where possible. My only advise to you is as follows - put everything (most things that you cannot tuck away) stock back on again - you have stock bodykit so less attraction - when you see a cop, just drive normally - do not slow down nor speed as if they look at you, act normal - if you do the right thing, there's nothing to fear - fear only is evident if you have done something wrong and you know it. Good luck bro - ask youself a question - can you sell your beast??? Only you can answer this... I know for a fact that I will never sell my Skyline - not with the time, effort and hard work I've put into it. But yeah, know exactly how you feel mate... -
Mate, Fair enough - question though; would you drive with them on?

Finaly A Good Gts Badge In Metal..
Spunky Munky replied to seriesII's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Bro, I have to say - the badge was done very nicely - it actually looks like a "proper factory" badge not like something you can get a sign-writer or vinyl maker to just do one for you. I'm quite impressed. Can you please PM me how much it would cost as I do want one. Regards, -
Fellas, I have to say, I'm not too impressed of late. I rang up the guy and said to him I need help to retune my car as I've noticed the boost spikey alot and it doesn't feel smooth like before - was suppose to be smoother on the high revs with an aftermarket CCU in there. Besides this, I opened up my hood for a quick inspection a few weeks back and noticed he'd trimmed down my radiator fan just that he can fit the intercooler piping into it... I was not pleased at all - as I know there are ways you can pump it on the side more so that there's no need to cut the fans. Also, I noticed that he had left a screw driver in my engine back without taking it out - imagine it hit something in whilst driving... I came back to him and all he could say was "sorry, I must of had a rough day - I'm really sorry..." Look, so far the car's gone ok so I really cant' say anything else yet - but it's just his service and attitude about things that really upsets me sometimes. Cheers,
-
Hope they don't on this ocassion mate - they charged me. Cheers,
