Mx Lancer Cutting Out Please Help
Spunky Munky replied to r33madd's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Bro, firstly you're posting a lancer thread on a Skyline forum so please don't be too surpised of the input you're getting... But look, check the spark plugs, coil packs, check engine bay for any loose hoses.... Good luck.' -
Oh, why this? Just wanted to get some feedback on this place - many people post similiar threads? I don't get it - are these people not good to deal with or something?
-
Question, what does the EPA have to do with your ECU? How can they check your ECU anyways? Exhaust and BOV I can understand - but a ECU? How - please explain?
-
I just wanted to share with everyone that I have gotten my car serviced, tuned and modified heaps of times at Nismo Performance Centre in Sunshine - a guy called Fred works there. Although I must say he's a bit more expensive, he's done very good jobs... however, everyone I know think he's dodgy, tries to rip you off for stuff and is very overpriced - your thoughts and experiences?
-
This may be an understatement - but Princess Highway - Nobile Park area - drive down their with a Skyline - they will get you for anything they can put their hands on... watch out... And yes, Booze business also have the authority to defect our cars on the spot! WATCH OUT.

ha ha ha.... the funniest thing I've seen for a while... thought they were Chicken Nuggets... LOL

Driving Convictions - A Criminal Offense?
Spunky Munky replied to Spunky Munky's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I agree - respect has to be earned. No doubt about it - couldn't agree more. Not asking you to respect me more etc - and not bitching about the court case etc... read the subject matter - read what I have written... not once have I asked for support for my past actions - I know I was wrong... of course, I was a dickhead... but hey, that's the past - neverless, I will have to deal with this matter sooner or later - just wanted to ask for opinions on whether this is a criminal conviction. I think you're taking it the wrong way. Cheers, -

Mate, I'm glad you've asked this question - I really don't have to answer it but I will this time as I think it's a fair question... I sold the house and have made a humble profit - but now we will have to buy another house, and, although we do have a fair amount left over for other things - my mother has fallen ill all of a sudden and what's more - I have had my fair share in fines, infrindgement notices etc... to make it worst, the house that I had collided with a few months back has sued me for compensation and I have paid them off a fairly substantial amount. Now with this new court case that I will be involved in soon - it will no doubt cost me more money so I guess this is why I consider myself in a financial disadvantage and hence being "broke." I've answered your question based on fellowship of this forum - think what I want... I never mind being judged by people - this is life and surely a forum will not make a few lesser of an individual. Regards, -

You know what Eug, I really find it interesting that you always seem to post the same thing about my contradicting myself. That's good actually as I was hoping you can clarify and explain where and how I have contradicted myself for saying "thanks to someone for supporting me..." I think you got too much time on your hands. However, thanks for your close attention to my posts. Respect. -

Nice ride mate... but one question - why do you have turbo GT badges on a NA car? -
www.carmate.com By the way, you do know that carbon bonnets are illegal right - as if you have an accident and your engine bay is up in flames - your bonnet will melt within minutes and your whole car might then go up in flames.

It's a persona choice, however, I have heard many good things about Croydon Racing Development.

YEah mate, that is a valid point - however, I tried ringing Vicroads to ask them and they didn't give me much information... who or whom should I ask? But yean, definitely a good point - everyone should check before performing the mod as when the cops get you - you'll be running your backside off to get it demodded and this is both costly and time-consuming! -
Driving Convictions - A Criminal Offense?

Many thanks Matt, much appreciated... I've contacted a family solicitor and he too confirms what you had conveyed as totally correct - he said the same thing... because I am being charged under a traffic's/road act I will only be charged with this and it will only appear on my traffic-related issue and not my criminal one. The solicitor feels that with a little bit of luck and a bit of preparation, I may get off this with just a lost of license of 6-12 months and a probation/bond issue that basically demands me to drive safe for ever or face another severe penalty by the courts etc - it should be ok - worst case scenario I will have to pay a find up to $5,000 which I can pay monthly via installments of something like $100 so it's not too bad. Just some extra info for everyone: During the accident, no other cars were involved nor damanges sustained - no one was hurt (except for myself of course) - and only 1 house was damaged - which I am in the process of paying for now. Besides this, everything is fine... So yeah, I guess this is lesson I will have to learn from and never come across it again - I think most of us here have been through something like this before... I am just happy I have lived to tell a tale... of course, I will learn from this... Many thanks fellas... I can't thank you enough! Regards & sincerely thanking you... -

Thanks champ - unlike the other "keyboard warriors" you're genuine and understanding - that's straight up respect. Yeah, it was dumb, I'm in debt, nearly lost my Wife and kids over this, but it shows - when the shit hits the fan, only the closest are near you - damn, although I regret what happened - I guess it's a lesson well learnt... I never speed any more, always obey the law and will intend to demode my car... oh well, shit happens... just gotta move on and live life... Thanks again bro... -

Driving Convictions - A Criminal Offense?
Spunky Munky replied to Spunky Munky's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Hefty fine - no worries as I was a dick and so I deserve every penny of it (fair enough). Loss of license - also fair enough, can't winge about something that was done wrongly from my part. However, do you think it's severe as a criminal conviction, say, if you hit someone, broke into someone's home or stole money from work etc? Because this is what I fear - the above two things are no biggies.
