Driving Convictions - A Criminal Offense?
Spunky Munky replied to Spunky Munky's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Thanks mate - does that mean that when they do a criminal check on me etc, this would not affect it? Moreover, if they charge me - would you know what penalties etc I would have to bear? Thanks again mate. -
Hi fellas, I need to draw upon some of your experiences here... below is a brief snapshot of what happened followed by what the Police are hoping to charge me with through the Magistrates court; hoping for someone with prior experiences in this situation to shed some light on what are the possible outcomes... Situation overview: Basically around 7 months ago I was involved in a street drag race (stupid at the time) - we were travelling at around 100 Km/h in a 50 km/h zone in the streets of West Melbourne. Anyway, subsequently I lost control of my vehicle and spun into a residential home. Cops arrived 45 minutes later and took statements etc and the cops did say that they might summon me to court soon. Now, I have never ever been summoned to court in my whole life - never been charged with anything or have had dashes with the law so all this is totally new to me and I am rather concerned. Possible Charge (word for word): "Manner Dangerous, Careless Driving & Exceed Speed Limit." So the question is - I was obiviously involved in this and therefore accept that I am guilty - now, if I accept that I am guilty and get charged the above - what are the consequences? Will I be fined something; will it stick on my criminal records (is it this serious) and will it affect my employment etc? I mean, I am in a fairly senior position at work and if I ever get convicted of anything that is "criminal" then I will be sacked immediately. Fellas, if this stays on my driving records etc then I don't give a hoot, even if I get fined etc then I do not really care, but I am really worried that it will be a criminal thing - is it this severe? It also says something about bail - what the fark is all this - would appreciate some support on this matter from those that have been through this personally before or have heard of friends involved in this. Many thanks, Spunky

Go for something like this bro... http://www.autoanything.com/car/nissan/sky...5A1A9A2560.aspx
-
Fellas, I personally reckon a GT-R front bar with stock Nismo foggers just close to the Frontmount, looks tough as!
-
Bro, looks like a do-luck back bar with a drift "d" wing! but i stand to be corrected.
-
Damn, I love the car... looks tough... the wing is unique - however, you will find the cops will stop you and defect you as it has pretuding sharp parts and is hanging outwards behind the wheel arch. But yeah, unique bro. Good luck.

Need More Grunt... Whats A Good Mod...
Spunky Munky replied to 4drftn's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
If you want more grunt as in the sound - then get a proper CAI with a bigger POD - pipe it straight to the front bumber and you will get better sound. Regards, -

Need To Quiet Down My Exhaust
Spunky Munky replied to linedup33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Mate, there are too many exhausts to note - go to www.mrmuffler.com.au or something and ask them - they will be in a position to give you quotes and advice on what is best suited to you specific needs. Good luck. -
Can't say that I'm a fan... looks like the 350Z with longer body and wing... nothing special... well, at least to the standards of what GT-R's are and that of the Skyline range.

Nismo Stickers For 34 Gtt Stock Wing
Spunky Munky replied to 5ky's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Try these guys, I know they do custom wing blade badges etc.... http://www.jetspeed.com.au/ -
I think a C-West GT wing bar with Nismo Sideskirts... Check out here: http://www.carmate.com/
-
Fellas, looks aside... might be an issue with the cops as the wing is sticking slightly too much towards the sides - you may get a canary for this... I had a GT like wing on a couple of months back - got defected as well... just watch out... check before you buy (not that you'll find one any time soon anyways)...
-
Well, you started it and you have ended it... why did you approach them and ask for details re: bodykits? By the way, did they seem to have anything to do with bodykits? e.g. big garage or anything resembling what was advertised? Well fellas, I guess this puts an end to all our hopes of cheapies... Thanks buddy... glad you made it back in one piece..

How To Pass A Car On The Track
Spunky Munky replied to sav man's topic in General Automotive Discussion
NEMESIS yo'all... that was old... nice post bro!! +1 -
This is what I would do just so that you get it out of your system and know you've done all that you could to save a buck - and what's more this proces (up to this stage is still free of charge) ... write a letter and send it to CIVIC Compliane or whoever the traffic road authority group is... explain your case - talk logic, facts not emotions or anger as it will do you no good... give them 2-3 weeks to review the situation and they will then write back to you advising their decision on the matter... 90% they will say no - you must pay your fine and will also include a standard paragraph stating that you can have your case heard in a law court etc... if you get this response, the war is lost - pay the goddamned fine and move on with your life... however, if they decide to revoke the infringement and let you go - then you're a happy chap... nothing to lose and what's more, you can delay the fine for a couple more weeks so I guess there's no harm trying... but struggling is futile IMO...

Spunky Munky replied to Spunky Munky's topic in General Automotive Discussion

How Do I Clean My Intercooler?
Spunky Munky replied to MoogLe's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Well, I know with a CAI and proper Pod you would get around 2-3 kilowatts power gain - with a frontmount, 6 kilowatts would be tops... but I stand to be corrected. Cheers, -
hey mate - if you get no fluttering sounds that means the turbo is not functioning at all - my mate's S15 had similiar situation - I think either your Turbo's disengaged itself (connection-wise) or it's blown. sorry to hear that mate, it sucks I know. Yeah good thanks - after I got my old R33 GT-R wing damaged, I wanted something different and have stuck with the R34 Nismo Wing (without sides) on my R33 it looks tough as... so yeah, very happy with it. let me know how you go mate...
-
It's the Nismo 400r3 to be precise... nice, suits the R33 very well... get it painted matt-black and it will look tough as...
-
On a serious not, I think the JUN wing would look hot on a Doluck backbar... give it a go...
-
Thanks bro... good on ya... but I wouldn't go there alone - if you know what I mean...
