(male) Hoons Hit Where It Hurts
Spunky Munky replied to scathing's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Come on fellas - we've all done it... it's in our blood, but yeah, I agree... the above ad is both sexist, bias and singling out a specific demographic of society... not fair... -

I've had my ride for around 7 months now and I have to say... I am over and under with it... shocked to bits... unbelievable... share some stories, welcome me on board will ya. -
What Is The Best Wing For A R33?
Spunky Munky replied to Spunky Munky's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
hi hi hi LOL.. nah, I decided against it in the end... everyone's got them... sick and tired of them... don't wanna be just another Skyline and looks nearly the same.... I got a R34 Nismo GT-wing on my black R33 beast... now, that's not something you see everyday, right? -
No offense, but that's yuk!!!! ooeoeehhh You gotta be kidding, but then again everyone's got personal taste... on the upside, not much people have this wing.

Your Valued Opinions On My New Front Bar?
Spunky Munky replied to superspit's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Exactly what I had said... nothing... repeat - nothing looks better than a R33 GT-R front bar, Nismo sideskirts, GT-R pods and backbar!!! Simple but hot and aggressive as! -
I can't see why not - from my understanding, the boot is exactly the same. but I stand to be corrected.

How Do I Clean My Intercooler?
Spunky Munky replied to MoogLe's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
What I did was I got some hot water, splashed a couple of buckets onto it, then I got a brush (softest one possible) dipped it in some washing detergent and wash it slowly... it turned out sparkling... the trick is to make all the dirst, insects etc soften up first before you give it a good rub... good luck -
True dat - that's right... whatever you do (as fair as the system sounds) you don't have a chance in hell.. just pay it and move on... man, they chase me as if I was naked chick covered with honey or something... LOL

Police Operations To Stop Modified Vehicles!
Spunky Munky replied to Spunky Munky's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Look, basically the shytes hit the fan... you fellas just wait - it will no doubt get worst. -
That's it... so I guess, they're not ridicously cheap then... (that's good - I think)... Look, we'll need someone in NSW that lives around their area to pay them a personal visit - this is the only way we'll ever know if they genuine or not... if I was in NSW and live reasonably close I would go and check it out... Guys, anyone want to do us a favour? I'll be hoping they turn out good as I really want a new GT-R wing.

Thanks Cheez Michael Michaels (hi hi hi .... Blades of Glory)... hi hi... Wow, it looks really nice... from what I can see - the quality is pretty good bro, good job!! You've spent pretty much half of what you were suppose to spend on the bar, paint and fitting - more money for other mods... doesn't it feel good when you spend money well and wisely? Good on ya bro... thanks for offering to help out... Might drop you a PM soon as I might get a new front bar... Regards matey!!

Just trying to help fellas - if you find this information untrustworthy etc, then that's fine - nothing personal to me. Just thought I'll warn our members of what may happen... nothing more. Regards, -
Mate, sorry to hear that... speeding fines are always a kick in the back... I actually had the same thing happen to me - the copper was driving towards me and then he did a u-turn to fine me etc... from my understand, there's a certain distance the cop has to be at whilst pointing the "speed-measuring gun" at you before it can give an accurate reading... I actually asked a family friend of ours who's a cop and he says that the police car doesn't have to be stationary when recording your distance (although it would be more accurate) - but they have to point it at your vehicle (whilst you are driving) for a certain amount of time / distance in order for it to read accurately... without being there with you, it's hard to comment on your situation in particular... however, I would write to Civic Compliance in your state and try to get the notice revoked as from what I assume - if the cops are in a distance that you can eye with your eyes (would be within a few hundred metres max) then I suppose the chance of them recording a credible and accurate speed would be 'questionable.' Good luck matey. Good night,

Headlights Fogging Up! Just Paid For New Ones! Still
Spunky Munky replied to 4drftn's topic in General Maintenance
If that's the case, then I guess you do have a point - yeah, I've never tried it... but drilling holes is the last resort IMO... but hey, if it works then up to the owner of the vehicle. Cheers. -
Not necessarily - they might be newbies who want to break into the scene therefore can afford to do some good deals - OR, they imported them cheap etc...

Police Operations To Stop Modified Vehicles!

Right you are bro... look online, trading post etc - there's shyte load off young people selling off their Skylines/WRX's/Silvias (sports cars in genera) and opting for Honda Accords, luxury sedans or hatchbacks etc as it's getting to farken tough - soon, the money spent on fines will just kill you... I reckon, after my next payment - I would have spent over $2ks on fines within the last 18 months already - ridiculous....!! -
That's it bro, keep it in the family... LOL... nice
-
Now we're talking, my brother...
-
Fellas, I got a hand full of fines, defects notices and penalties for driving home from Nobile Park a few weeks ago. I just received word from 5 friends (2 of which drive Skylines) that the police in VIC (especially Eastern suburbs) are going at it HARDCORE to fine, defect and penalise anyone that drives a modified vehicle. Rules have tightenned up so don't think if you "only have a couple of mods" then you're safe... they have been instructed by their superiors and are running specific campaigns to really "crack down" hard. Let's face it fellas, most of us that drive Skylines will have modifications - some more, some less, but mods are mods - a few of you may say, but yeah, some mods are legal - no mods are legal - new laws are saying that you cannot modify your vehicle at all... anyway, just watch out fellas - I know more defects will be out their way... just read the following police press releases... look at the number of defects given out... it's insane... 1. http://www.police.vic.gov.au/content.asp?Document_ID=1695 2. http://www.police.vic.gov.au/content.asp?Document_ID=5114 3. http://www.police.vic.gov.au/content.asp?Document_ID=7635 4. http://www.police.vic.gov.au/content.asp?Document_ID=658 Need I say more? Don't know about you fellas, but I'm going paranoid, I can't drive my Skyline to the shops and feel safe anymore - I don't drive over the speed limit, damn - I don't even do anything that's not allowed and they still pull me over all the time - if they want to get you, they will and they can... that's the problem... Remember, with new legislation - if the cops feel your car is "deemed to be unsafe, unroadworthy etc..." they can impound your car for 48 hours - then you will have to pay money just to get your car back coupled with fines, defects and penalties... one of the cops who defected me before, said they he can actually impound my car and get it towed away if he felt the need for it - and guess what? We cop the towing charge too - it's not cheap... $480 upwards... Peace to all - ...

Has it ever occured to you that she should suggest her to get a Skyline??? It's not like everyday do you see a Pink Skyline?

PS: with the drilling thing - I still think it's not necessary.. why would you want a hole in your headlights holder when you can seal it up nicely.? -

Spunky Munky replied to 4drftn's topic in General Maintenance
Sorry bro.... what you need is a thing called "clear seal" it's a white, see-through gel-like glue... must be bought at Bunnings or something... this did it for me... but when you seal it up, make sure you only use small dosages... Good luck mate... let me know how you go..
