yeah, wouldn't surprise me. seen a honda skyline once on the road. wow, but gay!

very nice, can't say anything about that. however, if it was just one colour e.g. black or electric blue with no or less stickers would have looked much tougher!! that's just my thought.

Why A Naturally-aspirated Skyline?
Spunky Munky replied to EVILTD's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Fellas, if all you NA owners are so content with being NA(ed) then why the heck, besides this post, are they so many people flocking to the HOW TO TURBO YOUR NA thread? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=159859 Something has to give her bros. -
Why A Naturally-aspirated Skyline?
Spunky Munky replied to EVILTD's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Damn, what have I started. Ok, any NA = any naturally aspirated, non-turb, not supercharged vehicle. Read my above post. I think the intention of the poster was that we discuss why most people buy a NA Skyline not why or how it can compare to a GST-T or GT-R. Guys, settle down please. We're all brothers in this crib yo; if your ride has a first name that's SKY and a SURNAME that's LINE. God damn it; even if you're black, yellow, white, cream or chocolate - you're part of the family! LMAO -
Why A Naturally-aspirated Skyline?

Boys get a grip here (especially NA owners). First things first, all Skylines are great and kickarse cars to own, to drive around and to bring to the track. Doesn't matter if their small, big, long, fat, modified, stock as a farken rock, black, grey, green, blue or pink for that matter... now, having got that of my chest. Let's face it, if you own a NA vehicle there's no way in hell you can beat a supercharged, turbocharged or FI car. Face it, this is called reality. Trying to make up excuses that on twisties or curves you would outrun the above vehicles is absurd and not too wise. Saying that a NA (not just Skylines, but any vehicle or make) will give you better driving skills is again a denial as this does not improve your driving skills. It's a bit last say, if I buy a 'Type-R' sticker and wack it on the back of my arse, it would be my vehicle run faster - yes, it certainly does mate - in your own world and mind it does. Ok fellas, now; NA's do have advantages or PRO's if yo will. 1) They are more fuel-efficient (in today's world, damn I wish mine was more fuel-efficient); 2) No Turbo Lag; 3) Less hard to maintain, 4) You can't blow your turbo or have it die on your because you don't have one; and lucky last 5) You won't really drag much people (Which will endanger your life) because you know in your gut that if you drag a turbo/supercharged vehicle they will rip you up for dead. It is also absurd if you compare Turbos and NA's together. It's like comparing Apples and Oranges, Penises and Vaginas...well, you get the picture no need to dig too deep here. Look fellas, just love your ride for what it is, what it means to you. My first car was an old BA Ford Falcon, still miss it heaps as it used to take me to and from school, it had the raw power and also it was comfy to ride in on trips. So yeah, don't compare your vehicle with others mates. I would never compared my GST-T to a GT-R. Although my beast has shitloads of mods and probably would keep up or destroy a GT-R, this is not the point; I love my ride for what it is, not what it can do or should do. I love all Skylines, NA , TURBO, TWIN-TURO - love them all. When I see a fellow Skyline next to me on the lights, I wind down my window and say hello. I don't really give a rat's vagina if he then jetted off and blew me off with his BOV. So what? I know the power of my beast, I know it's potential and the countless hours of work I have put into working on it, so there's no need to prove this to anyone but myself. Peace all. No offense indeeded for anyone or any Skyline. I love all Skylines.... Try giving your Skyline a name and you will soon understand that it's your beast not your metal automobile on wheels. Mine is called "Nismosus" - ましたわ. Laterz, -
Mate, I know your situation - hard but true...anyways, do not buy a Skyline - buy something like a Holden Commodore or a Ford Falcon or something - just something to get around in... pay third-party only insurance, stay on it for a few years... 3 plus years then get your point back then buy a Skyline... you're still young - not the end of the world yet.

I find it quite bemusing that some GTS owners are trying to justify why they bought a NA vehicle instead of a turbo one. You did it because you wanted to regardless of whatever reason. Therefore, in other words - it's fate neverless. I don't think any NA owner should make comments that they think they can outrun, outspeed a turbo car as this is totally incorrect and dreamy. That said, doesn't matter what kind of vehicle you drive, as long as you're happy that's the main thing Turbo or otherwise. -

Guys, some of us are forgetting that until a Turbo car hits boost (otherwise known as positive post) then before that it's just vacuum and nothing else. So if you don't revv it high enough, you'll be driving like a NA car at the lower RPM's anyways. In my opinion, a turbo Skyline or a NA Skyline, they're all Skylines - all equally worthy of being labelled as "the beast." It just depends on how much you are proud of your beast. -
guys... don't really like matt-black... looks too rough and not slick enough. I love the after-market jet-black metallic paint. damn hot.

Damn, this is one of the nicest R31's I've seen ever. Wow...

Hey fellas, Update: I checked the fuses... there are two lots 1st in the engine bay, 2nd are under the dash just underneath steering wheel... the fuses in the engine bay are for engine bay related things, horn, lights etc... but the one in the dash controls most of the interior stuff... the question is, which one controls the cigarette lighter?? Can someone please help, a pic or something? Thanks.

Thanks so much fellas - really, much appreciated... although I have never done this before, now is a time to learn... cheers...

Hi guys, I've recently noticed that my Ciggie Lighter is not working as the metal coils inside are not electrically charging. I run my Tom Tom SatNav's charger from it and it is crucial for long road trips so can someone please tell me how to fix it or can any mechanic fix it quite easily and if so would this be expensive? Basically it's just not eletronically charging, no power to plug-ins. Your urgent help would be much appreciated as I'm going on a cruise very soon. Regards,

Painting A R33 Boot And Drift Wing...
Spunky Munky replied to Gazee's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
way too expensive; whole boot would be $300 - there $450.00 is max IMO -
Sounds way too usual. The copper is right, you can only have 1 air induction mod. There's no way you will lose your intercooler, right? Hence, just source a standard airbox from somewhere and get rid of the Pod filter. Pod filters (unless enclosed and a proper CAI is employed is shit-house as it sucks way too much hot air from the engine anyways), BOV has to go, if you have a turbo controller that has to go to. The copper should have given you a nice yellowy canary - just follow that. After you've demoded everything, go get a full RWC done, then bring it to a VICROADS office, they will inspect your vehicle then will stamp the canary as APPROVED and then you're free again. With the EPA, letters take around 3-5 weeks to arrive - as you know the EPA deals with the environment and bullshit like that - so they are only concerned with your exhaust - you will have to get a smaller exahust. After you do this, bring it to their office (as per the EPA letter) , again they will check, measure etc then if you pass, they will stamp off the letter and give you a receipt of compliance - and that's it. the end of the story. That's why I say to everyone, do not mod your vehicle until you get it cleared by someone (prefferably VICROADS) that it is legal etc OR get a qualified engineer and get them to write you up a government-approved engineers certificate (will cost heaps, around $650?). So yeah, just watch out next time mate...
