What specs are GTS4's? Is it auto and how does it respond with the new RB26 and turbo setup? Harder to tune seeing it started life as a NA car and how do you turn on/off AWD mode?

Recommendation Of Mechanic/workshop To Modify Turbo/exhaust Setup
Spunky Munky replied to jakez88's topic in Victoria
There's an exhaust place near Highpoint shopping centre. Guys there did a good job but I supplied my own exhaust but fitment was quick and good. I think it cost me $100 for welding. -
Hi mate, I'm after the piece just under the dash / steering wheel. I think it's called the dash surround? Do you have this? Which off the following is this? Centre console $60 Includes Gtr badge. One of the mounting screws is broken however this cannot be seen when the lining is placed inside. Console stereo surround $30 Triple gauge cluster $60 This is the piece I want: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-Skyline-R33-GTST-RB25DET-Spec-2-Dash-Surround-DRIFTBITZ-/270894916581?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f129863e5

WAIT. I nearly had this put on me too...the general rule is it has to ALSO be in a secure position and held down with a proper enclosure. I just checked mine and it sits under a cage-looking area with 4 spokes securely holding it down and then screws onto the stop of the battery so it is stiff as anything and is also sealed. I suggest you take it to your Road Authority Office and get them to confirm that it is in compliance and then send a letter to the police to contest this, but as one of the police officers had advised me before, it has to be secured within an enclosure. Hope that makes sense.

Basic Mods Need Help
Spunky Munky replied to ryanrb25det's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Yeah ride above threads but I suggest you start with some good spark plugs, coil packs, a good pod-filter, intercooler then upgrade AFM and then take it to a further step from there. I call these mods basic as you have not really touched the pistons etc yet. -
I suggest you go for a drive and see if your gauge is showing the right boost movement across the RPM bands. If the sensor is broken than you won't be able to hold boost - at least this was what my mechanic told me when I had a E-Boost installed. However, if it is only the seal to the hose than as long as it is still connected then it should still work fine must get a clip and fasten it in place again. Hope that helps.

R33 Tune, What To Do?
Spunky Munky replied to krystalll's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Mate, there are different options at different budgets. You can start with a Greddy E-Manage, FOX3D and go to the Power FC. -
Then go for it mate. The Nismo front bar looks great and just keep it stock looking otherwise nothing wrong with that at all but it won't complete the "Z-Tune" look which is totally up to you.
-
Hi mate, if they work and are flashing normally then do not do anything - just add the globes into the provided indicator slots at the front of the 400R bar - if they don't have any screw grooves, I suggest you stick them down with some glue or something as one of mine fell out and as you know they're not cheap to replace. Good luck mate.

Help With R33 Gtr Spoiler Fitting On Gts-T
Spunky Munky replied to R34 0125GT's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Hi mate, not sure what you mean be separate spoiler, but if you put the GTR one on, it will definitely fit but you may be to put extra holes in as from my memory the stock GTS-T one has different screw locations but the GTR being slightly bigger will sit over and cover up those existing screw holes anyway. If you are really worried about stiff fitment, you can also apply some glue to keep it in place also like I did on mine. In regard to the GTR spoiler - I suggest you get the one with the break lights on the centre bottom area as it looks so much nice when lit up than the one without those lights but be prepared to pay approx $500 plus paint for one so it should set you back almost $900 fitted. Then you can always get some GTR/Nismo/Carbon Fiber end caps to finish off the look. Good luck mate. I personally think the GTR spoiler is the nicest for a R33. A lot of people say the duckwing thing looks good but to me it is simply ugly and the T-Wing (otherwise known as shopping cart) style ones are ugly UNLESS you plan to track your car and are adding it for performance reasons. Hope that makes sense. SM -
Skyline Nur Spec Bodykit
Spunky Munky replied to jordan1010011010's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Hi mate, from my understanding the NUR R34TR has a VSPEC Bodykit with extra diffusers at the back and those exhaust apron things. There are also underbody enhancements but I guess you won't need these. Are you getting a R34 GTR or GTT? Where to get this rear bar is going to be a hard one. I am not going to recommend the usual bodykit places as I don't think they will sell this so I will leave it up to the others to give you better pointers. Cheers -
I have the same rims and tire profile on my car right now. But my guards are rolled and flared so maybe you are right, just realise the poster's car is a GTST so may not fit like yo say. My bad.

Yeah, if you are purchasing from a store - go and try them on for size first.

Hi mate, just to clarify, so it is NOT flashing at all at the moment as the connector piece has nothing to connect to from the globe's side, right? If it is working then ignore everything as you've managed to get it to work. However, if it is not, then you will have to do one of two things... 1) Find another female connector piece for the side belong to the new Nismo globes you bought. I have no idea where you can get one. Try to the Sales thread on SAU and look at wrecks or try contacting Nissan spare parts. I doubt you will find the other bit. 2) You will need to cut the male connector piece from the wiring side and go to autobarn or an electrical store and buy a flat x4 (2 for the wiring side and 2 for the globe side) and run LED flasher globes on each side. If it already works fine then you're really lucky as you seem to have genuine wiring, connector pieces and globes. Don't worry about just 1 one wiring; usually 1 is for the positive flow and another is for earth or negative otherwise known as - the genuine connector piece should be the positive and negative combined if I'm not mistaken as it is connected to the car and therefore is earthed. Let me know how you go. Good luck.

Any pictures? I am thinking of getting a set myself and don't know which colour to go for too? It's definitely either BLUE OR RED on a BLACK R33 , your thoughts?

Looking For Particular Rear Bumper Kit
Spunky Munky replied to dex_911's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Yeah the Do-Luck bodykit is very nice too - but you need to pump your guards in my opinion for it to look good or have it on a GTR with factory wider guards and have deep dish rims to go with it. I think the GRACER kit is nice too...good luck http://www.japsalon.com/Frames/00_R33GTR.html -
Ok this is coming from a person that had a 400R front bar on a R33 and then bought the exact same genuine clear Nismo indicator lights as replacement for the crappy orange ones that came with the 400R front bar originally. To answer your question, yes they will fit but if you have a replica 400R (I had a genuine one) then most likely there won't be groves on the wholes for you to twist them in properly, so you will have to apply some force and then add some type of adhesive to ensure the lights don't fall out when you're driving. In terms of the connector wiring - GTR's came with two connecting plugs that looks a bit rectangular which splugs flush to the above replacement lights as the enclosure has a male-to-female connecting point. However, if you bought the above lights from Nissan, it won't come with this connector piece so you will have to do the following to make it work... 1) Depending on what wiring you already have on the car, you will need to cut the existing connector peace that is brown in colour and rectangular in shape and add a positive / earth connector piece to it 2) Buy yourself some LED flasher globes 3) Then you will notice that you indicators will flash really fast as the voltage is wrong - you will then need to buy a new flasher can and replace it. There is one on Ebay for around $15 from the US. It took me nearly 6 months to fix this stupid problem and I went on EBay and came across this flasher can by change so you effectively you will have LED flasher globes in the above light enclosures. They still work fine but you will need to put some waterproof tape around the connection points to ensure it does not slip off. Works fine after that. Good luck mate.

Help With R33 Gtr Spoiler Fitting On Gts-T
Spunky Munky replied to R34 0125GT's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
If you are referring to a R33 GTR bonnet/spoiler on a R33GTST then I can tell you that the spoiler will fit fine BUT, the bonnet will not as GTR's are wider!! Hope that helps, and like ONEDGE said, if you have a R34 then it won't fit at all which is pretty much self-explanatory really.
