Sick And Tired Of Fearing Cops Like A Criminal!
Spunky Munky replied to Spunky Munky's topic in Victoria
My CF bonnet is already painted black to match the car...but has vents and all that 'wanky' stuff...I just want it to look stock as rock...doesn't bother me if people think my car looks stock, shit or not fast...it's what's under the hood when I hit 4K RPM that matters... So does anyone have a stock GTR bonnet to sell please please? -

Ok let me get this straight, your avatar is "ItalianSuperHunk" yet you're saying the cops kinda pulled you over for how you look? I get the feeling that you're either Asian or African or something...hahahaha.... Speaking of stereo-typing, one punch line that I always get is...so let me guess, you either drive a Skyline, WRX or an Lancer Evolution, right? I'm like...fark, you got me again... I'm of Asian background...although I was born in Australia and speak with a freaken Aussie accent, but regardless, Asians are labelled as Rice-burners....and I guess, it's not hard to understand why? Cheers. Kevin -
Hi fellas, Long story short...I'm now 28 years old, working very hard and am often away from home...I am married, have a loving wife and expecting my first child in a few months. Now my story with cars...my first sports car was the amazing 300ZX, then I went to a R33 GTS-T, then a Silvia S15 SpecR and now I have a R33 GTR Vspec. At my age, I'm pretty much am thinking of purchasing myself possibly what I call "the last sports car" before it's all family-oriented as I do not go to the track often and frankly don't really have much time to spend driving the thing. I have been thinking long and hard, I have basically two options...to keep the R33 GTR Vspec for now and drive it for the next 2-3 years before upgrading to something European like an Audi R8 or possibly much longer down the track, a Ferrari or Porche and I'll call it a day and won't ever own another sports car ever. However, I have a soft spot for Japanese imports...always have and always will. I have a couple of mates that can afford to buy and maintain the fairly new R35 GTR and was thinking of selling off my R33 GTR, add some extra coinage and buy the R35 GTR and stop it there. So my question is...is the R35 GTR worth it...I believe a brand new one would be in the vicinity of around $140K AUD, does this sound right? Secondly, if it were to be the final sports car that I would own - would it be worth it? Like I mentioned, I won't have the time or interest in modifying it no more like I did to my previous R33 GTS-T and Silvia S15, so it'll be left stock as a rock...please help me decide...after always wanting one, I don't know but the R33 GTR just doesn't tickle my fancy no more...I think I'm getting too old...the thought of fatherhood really does scare me sometimes... Thanks fellas... SM

Hi all, as part of my endeavours to look as stock as possible, does anyone have a R33 GTR bonnet they can sell? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Wt...al-t300573.html -
Hi fellas, My new GTR came with a CF bonnet with vents...I have it with all the outrageous looks...sure, for the track, it may look good and add performance, however, I just drive my car on the weekend, want to look as stock as can be to avoid hassles from cops and attract less attention, so if you have a stock R33 GTR bonnet, please name a resonable price and swing it pass my way. Please PM me or contact via 0411 381 824. Kevin

Yeah thanks mate...I've really lost interest in all the 'wank factor' stuff...don't know why, maybe because I've had enough of the shit cops give us and that I'm getting older perhaps. Regardless the reason, I just want to turn my car back to stock and leave it that way...can't be bothered any more to be honest. -
Just did my part - do I get some of your love too?

I'm surprised with Operational Raid or Blitz or something going on for the Blue Boys you guys are considering crusing up that area...I wouldn't dare...

Mate, this may not have occured to you - but go to a local Nissan wrecker and get a second hand windscreen...will probably cost you like $200 but at least you know it's genuine Nissan stuff and will be identical to yours and less the price!

I guess you're right mate...it's the BOV and the POD that's gotten me into shit all these years...I've just ordered a heatshield thing for the pod to hide the fucckka away and will consider a plumb back BOV - do you think all plumb backs will be fine? Thanks. -

Ha ha ha ha...classic...an absolute classic! hahahah...I especially like the SHOVE IT DOWN YOUR PANTS line. However, I see your point mate, that's why I'm going to keep my GTR stock as a freaken rock. I need to clear the defect on the GTS-T so that I can sell the fuucka....thanks mate... -

Hey mate, I recently repainted my calipers blood red or orange/red as it's known. Go to Repco and they will show you this colour, it's not the usual boring red, it's metalic and a tad orange - makes the car look really hot. Ok how to get best results...here's what you gotta do... 1. Take your rims of one by one (if you only have a standard car jack) - alot of people spray with rims on - this is a no no as you cannot get to the hard-to-reach corners and it won't be a complete job...so you take your rims off and sand it down as much as you can so that there are no rough surfaces or left over bulky paint bits left...spend at least 20 mins sanding each caliper down... 2. Buy some good quality primer (the grey primer) - spray one at least and no more than two coats of primer onto the caliper allowing 35 minutes for each to dry then repeat. 3. After the primer has completely dried and has setted. Apply two coats of the colour paint, spray like 2cm away from caliper with an up and down motion moving from left to right evenly. Make sure to cover/mask off unwanted areas before painting. Allow each coat 1 hour to follow dry then repeat second layer. In my opinion, two layers is plenty as more will just make the caliper look bulky and over-painted. 4. Put your rims back on but do not drive or move the vehicle at all for 24 hours. Spend some time going through over-spray areas with a cloth and some strong detergent like petrol or paint removing liquids. 5. Get a soft piece of cloth or tissue, put some wax onto it and then wipe over calipers once. This is to remove any dirt or dust gathered to bring out the sign...then drive your car off...it's done! I strongly suggest this blood red colour but other options which also look nice include: gold, black and dark yellow. Each to their own...Gold and black would probably be nice and subtle whereas red or yellow would be loud and 'in your face.' Depends on the look you want to project. Good luck. Kevin
