Wrecking R33 Gtr Vspec 84,000km Black
Spunky Munky replied to BoostdR's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Yeah, Troy is a top bloke...wrapped everything very well and prompt communication and postage too! Awesome! I've left traders comments for you mate - please do the same for me too! THanks. -
I agree. Yes, my rear guards are already custom flared, i.e. widebodied! Cheers.
-
Yes mate...but you will have to get a good panel beating place that can modify it to fit onto the front shell and you will need a new front bar that's made for a GTR. I just got a pair of R33 GTR front guards...getting them installed soon...looking forward to it.
-
Hahahah...I'm sure you guys wanna spank my monkey!!
-
Not 100% sure...but looks a bit like a classic Zumbo rim. Google Zumbo rims and you will see they make similar deigns.
-
Not a fan to be honest...but I must say they do suit the smaller and nimbler R32's...for the R33 and R34's...the LMGT4's will forever rule. Period.

Ok, I've just copped my 5th defect notice in the Melbourne CBD...what the heck....I never ever get searched in the CBD...they done me hard...everything from POD, Power FC, CF bonnet, HID lights, Blow off valve, front mounted intercooler to my suspension was noted to be FIX or REMOVED. Then they slapped me with EPA as well. One of the cops said that they're apparently in a blitz as Graeme had advised with specific defecting 'unroadworthy' vehicles in mind. Although they were nice about it...just made it obviously that something's up...damn it!
-
Sorry to hear...I think the cops are doing a blitz on cars heading close to Christmas and with new/stricter road laws in place...I just got defected again for the freaken 5th time...I'm starting to lose it, honestly!

Need Help On Repairing Nismo Lmgt4 Rim.
Spunky Munky replied to Spunky Munky's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I bought it from a friend that drives a R34 GTR Nur edition. He took it to the track somewhere and slammed his rims pretty bad into a wall. -
Roof Spoiler For Gtt
Spunky Munky replied to joeyjoejoejuniorshabadoo's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Too easy...good to hear! -
Hi mate, I really appreciate the time and effort you've put into this reply...it's really helped me helps... Since reading your reply, I've gone out and done the following: 1. Gotten better performance brake pads. 2. Got spacers put on and larger rotors. 3. Changed brake fluids. 4. Powercoated my calipers and painted them red. All in all, I've noticed a bit of performance gain for sure...thanks for your help...achieved all of the above for less than $3K. Thanks again!!

Hi all, I recently upgraded my brake pads to Endless ones and started noticing quite loud squeaking noises from my front disc brakes. It's really irritating and somewhat disturbing...I mean, I paid extra cash for performance and safety not this sound. I've spoken to a lot of people with performance vehicles and their brakes also do this sometimes. I have a few people run up to me and say, you've spent so much money on this car no doubt with the exterior and performance upgrades etc, time to give your brakes some attention - and I was like "yeah, I know and I did do that...." So fellas, how the heck do I stop this - is there a way and if not, is this normal? I came across an interesting article online and thought I'll post it here...how much of this is true...please explain... http://www.trustmymechanic.com/htmlmessage9.html Thanks all... Kevin

You didn't get may responses because most people go GTR-replica front bars with the GTR lip and not the Mspec one with the GTR lip...might as well go all the way, I'd say! However, yes, some do and I've seen a few around... I suggest you give www.carmate.com.au a call and ask if this is possible or speak to Freddy at www.topstage.com.au and say Kevin with the wide-body R33 referred you! Cheers. Kevin

Can Copy Gtr (400r) Front Bar Fit Series 2 Gtst?
Spunky Munky replied to Kujotk's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Yeah of course it would...but if it's a GTR-spec 400R front bar, then let us know forget those big-arse front guards...so to answer his question...yes, but you will have to fold the sides o the bar in a bit and re-fibreglass it to fit flush... What I did was get a the same bar but instead spent the cash and labour and get genuine R33 GTR front guards...my R33 looks fat as hell now....definitely worth every penny! -
HAHAHAHAHAHHA.....thanks mate...I had a picture of Monkey Magic there for like years...then I did a search on Google for spunky munky and funny enough this picture came up...so I added it to my Avatar...I even got some PM's asking if I'm her?? HAHAHAHAAHAHH so I cannot blame you!

Rb20 Coils Used On Rb25 ?
Spunky Munky replied to rb25vlt8's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I beg to differ...SR20 coils (although they do fit RB25 series 1's)...would not perform properly...a mate of mine try to do this...lost heaps of power and couldn't hit certain levels of boost...I don't know the technicalities but I think they're just not designed for a straight 6 engine that's 2.5 litres capacity. -
R33 Bumpstops And Boots. Where To Buy?
Spunky Munky replied to Nick.'s topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Mate...you got 2 more options to consider... 1. Ring around some local Nissan wreckers...R33's get wrecked fairly often (don't ask me why)... 2. Keep an eye out on SAU's sales classifields for R33 wrecks and PM members requesting parts...it's all a matter of patience, you'll bound to find something in a few weeks...it sure beats paying an arm and a leg from Nissan. Good luck mate! -
What Turbo Does Stock R33 S2 Have?
Spunky Munky replied to ksj602's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Mate, as members above have noted... When you say it sounds "loud" are you referring to the spooling sound or the sucking sound of the Pod? I have to say, I have one of the loudest sounding R33's on the road...sounds like a jet ... and I absolutely love it...like others have suggested...this depends on your Turbo piping, Air filter, intercooler and blow-off valve... Do you not want it to be loud? Simple, get rid of the blow off valve (if you have one) and purchase a stock one and plumb it back. Get rid of the Pod filter (if you have one) and go back to the 'underwater diving' snorkel stock panel filter....and that ought to do it...you should find the car will be very quiet now...and whilst you're at it, get rid of your exhaust too...then it will be less noise! -
Anyone Know Where U Can Get Skyline Car Bras?
Spunky Munky replied to leethal's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Not really mate...the car bra (seen it on my mate's Holden HSV) comes with basically 4 harnesses and click-on clips...it's a bit like a car cover only it sticks to your front bumber...moreover, the material inside of the Bra is actually softer and cushioned so it won't stretch your paint at all and the Bra - for those that have not seen one or do not know how it works, only sits on your front bumper. So yeah...it won't do anything of this sort...plus, the guys at CarBra will customise it nicely to your front bar. -
Any this mate... Personally, I think custom-flaring the rear guards of a R33 and then getting GTR bolt-on front guards for a R33 would make it look super fan already! Please please prove me wrong with some pictures!

Painting R32 4 Door N/a Rims
Spunky Munky replied to aussietroy's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I suggest you just roll around with these stockers for a while and save up for some better rims in the near future...not worth the effort....close up they would look ok, but from a distance, they would look out of place...a mate of mine did his...doesn't look very nice at all I must say... -
Not sure if you chose 20mm bolt on spacers at the rears or 25mm ones....but if you went 20mm, definitely go 25mm...it still istn't sitting out enough...I know it's only another 25mm...but trust me...it will look much tougher!
