Thanks all...you guys have been great...to respond in general to some questions raised... I have 18 inch rims with 25mm adapter spacers on both front and rear. I am aiming to make around 275 kws at the wheels. I don't take my car to the track, but I'm considering brake upgrades because I may be doing this next year and I just want added safety to be honest. From what I've read here, so you guys think just some upgrades to the existing stock calipers would be sufficient, i.e. pads and lines? Thanks.

Fellas, I'm after a set of front R33 GTR fenders. If you have a set, please quote me a reasonable price and I will purchase it off you quick smart. Thanks. SM

Hey mate, firstly so sorry to hear what happened. Let me guess, carbon fiber bonnet with no bonnet pins? The classic scenario! Although I cannot help you with a good Adelaide smash repairer, I can say that try to claim it on insurance where possible as it's going to cost you big time. Good luck mate.

Wierd Brake Problem
Spunky Munky replied to Chris32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yeah I was going to suggest you do a full bleed and change with new fluids. Also remember to use good and proper brake fluids. -
That's it! Just do what I said and you should get it out no worries. Remember to be gentle.

Thanks fellas...I went and did some inquiries today... The original 400R front bars from Nismo cost over $2K each plus freight whereas Fiberglass copies just don't cut it... The Topsecret front bar still maintains the signature R33 GTR look whilst making it a bit more stylish. Anyone here have some pictures of a Topsecret front bar on their ride that they would like to share? Thanks all... I think I'm leaning 80% towards the TS one now...however, like JJJSD said, the GTR one does look nice but am quite over it now.

I think the 25mm adapter spacers would look good. It goes without saying that you should go for bolt on adapter ones

Hi fellas, It's time for me to upgrade my brakes. I want new everything - new brake pads, calipers, rotors the lot - the only thing I will leave is obviously the brake disc. However, I do not want to go Brembos for two simple reasons; 1) they are too expensive - I'm aware a new set would cost around $8K. I've seen a few alternatives out there. Can you some please remind me some good types and where to get them from. If you have pictures of what they look like on your car, please also post them up. I've through with all the cosmetics on the car, e.g. Bodykits, wheels etc, it's now time for the performance, so I want to have good braking to handle the increase in power that I'm endeavouring to increase. I was thinking of going for the APP 6-pot brake calipers. However, $4,800 is still a bit steep. Any slightly cheaper alternatives that run around the $3K mark? Thanks. http://www.nengun.com/app/brake-caliper-kit-6-pot

Hi fellas, I've had a GTR front bar on my R33 for almost 2 years now. Although I really like it. I have a widebody kit on my R33 now so want to change it look of my R33 a bit. I will keep the GTR side skirts, rear pods and wing but just want to change the front bar - so please help me decide. At the moment, here are my top 4 preferences: 1. TopSecret style front bar. 2. Nismo 400R v1 or v2 style front bar. 3. Do-Luck style front bar. 4. Trial style front bar. 5. Jun style front bar. I'm currently leaning towards either the Top-Secret front bar or the Nismo 400R style ones but I don't know if replicas look nice as I've never really seen any nice replicas. Does anyone have a picture of any of the above front bars on their cars? I'm wanting to put my car through a full respray with a new front bar on in the next few weeks and would appreciate as much feedback from you guys as possible. Thanks. SM

R33 Gtr Front Bar On Gts-t + Do-luck Sides & Rear
Spunky Munky replied to a topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Hey mate, No worries...glad you've made up your mind. The GTR front bar, although simple, looks very aggressive and nice. However, one thing to remember - spend $200-$300 on a set of nice GTR front bar indicator lights intact with proper backing not cheap mesh and a round truck-like indicator lights. You can get them from www.justjap.com or www.jetspeed.com.au - just call and ask for them. Good luck. -
I don't think 30mm...would be more like 25mm. But yeah, around there. The R33 GTR ones are around 30mm wider than 20mm GTS-T ones for your info.

Firstly, I don't think there are any guides as this is so simple to do. However, you can try Googling it. However, here's a quick guide for you... 1. use your thumb and second finger to make a "C" shape. Put your fingers into the side area of the the light enclosure and you should see a little pointer thing stick out. This is the side parker lights cup enclosure. Use your thumb to put on the lever hold it in and with your second finger - just push down gently and it should pop out with minimal resistance. 2. Go to Autobarn or Repco and buy yourself a set replacement parkers, I suggest you get the Phillips ones and not those cheap ones that burn out without 2-3 months. Remove the old (not working) parker globes from the cup enclosures and replace with new ones as appropriate. 3. Now using your fingers, put the parkers back in gently and remember to use your thumb to push the lever into the casing. You should hear a click sound if it's in nicely. Check to see if the parkers are working of course before you put them back in to save time removing them again. That's it! It's quite simple. You just have to be patient and also remove the squirter water bottle if required to make more room. Good luck. PS: Don't put blue or red ones in as you can be defected for something that's going to cost you less than $15 bucks. Sure they look nice but are illegal!

In most cases yes...call a glass specialist and they can try to repair it for you...however, if it is a crack that is through the crust of the glass - then you can never fix this.

Hey mate, for starters - why a Nismo 400R grill on a Topsecret style front bar? Looks odd but anyway...each to their own. Now, what you gotta do is drill two holes into the bottom of the front grill. Something like 20cm from the edges of each side towards the centre would be good. Have the front bar on as you drill so it goes through the front bar. Now insert two screws into these holes and it will sit nicely. CF copies will often have no holes pre-drilled you just have to make your own. PS: Some food for thought, you may want to remove the hideous "L" shape centre badge thing on the grill. Get some mesh put behind the grill and it will look good. Good luck!

I'll give you simple reply mate...firstly, sorry to hear that you've been fined etc...just gotta garage it and wait until you get off your P's. Driving it is a risk and you'll go paranoid ever time a copper drives past. It's not worth it. Just gotta face reality mate.

Because the GTR is rear-wheel drive? :-)

R33 Gtr Front Bar On Gts-t + Do-luck Sides & Rear
Spunky Munky replied to a topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Hey mate, I wouldn't worry as the GTR-replica for the GTS-T is made specially for it. In other words, it's smaller than the GTR size so it will fit nicely. A lot of people put a GTR front bar on as it looks best on a R33. Here's a picture of it on a GTS-T. You can get it from almost any bodykit place. Try www.jetspeed.com.au or www.carmate.com.au for starters! Good luck! -

Awesome! But does it get too bulky and rip? Otherwise, definitely interested. Got any more pictures with some DVD's in there?
