  1. You should try Autobarn, Repco etc. They may or may not have stock on hand but I know they can certainly get what you need for you. Good luck.
  2. Hi fellas, I am posting this thread and seek of your urgent help. I have a set of Volks Nismo 18" LMGT4's - one of which is quite badly damaged from collision with a gutter. As you can see, a part of the outer lip is pushed back inversely and in the process has a very small tear from the bend. The wheel otherwise is in perfect nick. Yet, I have brought it to Advanced Alloys, Ajax Wheels and even Wheel Solutions and all said they prefer not to fix it as they think it's good as gone. However, I have asked a lot of mechanics and friends and everyone feels that it's just a matter of bending/machining/bashing the lip back into place, and then welding the small tear enough so that it holds air and then simply machining it back and then painting it to match. I have nearly given up hope. I have one last place to try, that's Steve's Tyre and Wheels in Sunshine. I seems like a top bloke and is willing it give it a shot - he has not seen it but I will visit him tomorrow morning. I got both my hands and feet crossed let alone my fingers, so let's just hope he can fix it - or should I say; want to fix it. However, in the mean time, can someone please please recommend a place that can and would fix my wheel. I really love these rims and this is the only one that's buggered. I am thought about just buying a replacement one. I would prefer to get it fixed - so please help. However, if it is not fixable - does anyone know of a place I can get an original replacement that is exactly the same for a descent price? Preferably in Australia as I have had it with all the waiting. Thanks fellas.... Kevin
  3. Would you consider a swap and cash your way? I got a Kakamoto 2.5 inch stainless steel stage2 exhaust. Brand new I was told it would cost over $1K.
  4. Hey mate, considering that Nengun.com are selling them for a similar price, I would have preferred to buy it off you to save on the wait time - but I need black ones for my LMGT4's.
  5. Still waiting...the thing is, my LMTG4's are limited edition Nismo spec ones. There was only like 200 made, so it's going to be really hard getting another wheel so I am all in hope now.
  6. I've been defected 3 times, EPA(ed) 2 times and had my car impounded once. However, my car is far from "stock looking." Anyways, if a cop feels "in his authority" and within reasonable that what you have on or in your car is illegal and could/can cause the car to act in a way that is deemed unsafe for you to drive or dangerous towards others etc, he/she has the right to inspect your car and there's nothing you can say or do. Whatever they dish out you must cop it sweet...you have the right to go to court to fight the fine, but most likely you will lose so why bother. You will get the EPA later...it usually comes after 1-2 months. You will get it and it will be a pain to get your car cleared, but this is what you expect if you drive a JDM sports car. Nothing more I can say bro, just cop it sweet and just hope you get better luck next time. Sorry to hear though.
  7. Yeah, that's exactly what I am worried about...I'm not going to pay like $200 for a set of centre caps only to find the damn things don't fit. Can't really ask the seller for a refund just because I wasn't sure in the first place. I do like the bold ones, but don't know if it would stand out too much.
  8. Yeah, Matt is a top bloke...mate, I love my wheel so much, I hope he can fix it...he said he's started on it and there's some hope.... I think if he can't fix it, then no one can. I got my fingers crossed.
  9. More here fellas: http://www.nengun.com/nismo/lm-gt4-center-caps
  10. This is spot on what I am after. Thanks mate. $35 each is not that bad...this I can definitely afford. What do you think looks nicer - those flat ones or the badgey looking ones?
  11. Thanks mate... yeah, they would but would be expensive... I just cannot just paying like $400 for 4 centre caps.
  12. Does anyone have a tissue? I think I just creamed my pants. That's the thing about the R33 GTR - looks tough stock as a rock!
  13. Yeah will do - still frantically looking for mine.
  14. Hey mate, fair enough...just make sure you buy the good genuine bonnet pins not the cheapo Chinese made ones as if those rods breaks, you know what happens... I've seen way too many cracked windscreens/bonnets to fear... I got both the latch and bonnet pins just to be sure.
  15. Hey mate, I am interested... please PM me if this is still available. Moreover, does this also work with a Emanage Blue?
  16. It's up to you - but I think any stripes on a Skyline doesn't look good. Stripes are more for Fords. Anyway, if you want to get it done make sure you get a pro to do it for you, e.g www.carx.com.au Good luck.
  17. Mate, why would you want to remove the front latch? I hope you realise that the bonnet pins are just what they are called "pins." In other words, the only thing hold down your bonnet is two thine metal rods. If you're going on the freeway and doing 100 km/h place, I would be worried if the front latch is not there...keep both... However, there are lockable mechanisms out there where you can actually lock the bonnet from the inside - underneath the bonnet, it's controlled by an electronic mechanism. The question is, why go through all this? Good luck.
  18. AHAHahahah.... yeah, I am so boring... I think just put them in the middle but instead, mount them a bit higher so it doesn't cover up the intercooler so much...anywhere else (accept in the case of some EVO's where it's standard) is gay and so "hey hey, look at me, I got mine mounted on the side - whoopey different...!" hhihiih
  19. Ha ha ha.... I get ya now bro... I think I will just spray it black and leave it... although I would prefer to have the caps - they're just so blood expensive. You got any idea where I can get some cheap non-branded caps from? Cheers, Kevin
  20. I just dropped off my set of Volk LMGT Nismo rims. One is so damaged no other place would even look at it - Matt is really cool and agreed to have a look at it. I got my fingers crossed he will com through with the goods.
  21. Hey mate, Thanks for your reply. I kinda think having no caps looks kinda tough. What do you mean by: "It may just be easier to neaten up the bearing cap eg paint/anodise it & use a shiney split pin?" Do you have an example picture or something? Thanks mate. Cheers, Kevin
  22. Hi fellas, I just bought a set of original 18" Nismo LMGT4 black rims. Although they look ok without the centre caps - I prefer them. Does anyone have a set they want to sell or know of a place that sells them. I don't mind something that is after market or even just plain black just to cover up the centre gaps. I have tried places like J-Imports and they want like $350 for a set of 4 originals which is fair enough, but I just want something to cover up the centre caps and not fuss about looks now as long as they are in black. Your help would be much appreciated. PS: A few of my mates suggest just spraying the centre gap area black and it would blend in - anyone done this?
  23. Hey Mike, what a shame. Would you consider $26K? Let me know am I am interested.
  24. Call me boring or traditional, but just get slim ones and put it in the centre are on the front. Anywhere else is gay in my opinion.
