  1. Hey fellas, I'll be there... I went to the recent westside meet... was great... OK, as for the location... There car wash I am referring to is like 2 minutes from the Caltex Petrol Station in Maidstone - once you pass the Caltex, you can't miss this car wash as it's the only one in Maidstone and will sick out like a sore thump... Below is the address and map to the Caltex petrol station - you find this and you will see the carwash right next door... http://www.truelocal.com.au/business/caltex/maidstone See you all there at 6PM... please spread the word...
  2. hahah... and we insure them and they multinational company.
  3. I am an executive in the finance/insurance industry. pays the bills and keeps my Skyline on the road, so I'm happy.
  4. Hey mate, First of all - sorry to hear what had happened to you. I know it's heart-breaking, but keep your chin up mate - unfortunately, you hit him so it will be your fault entirely as far as insurance is concerned - your best bet now is to get the cops on your side and provide this statement to YOUR insurance company. What YOUR insurance company will do is subrogate - which means, they will indemnify the other guy as far as they feel it is deemed appropriate and then will seek to recover from the third party - with consideration to what had happened and him being drunk at the wheel - they will try to push for a bi-lateral agreement which may help you get some money to fix your car. I recommend you to call your insurance company and have a good chat with one of their consultants. Like some members have suggested, I would keep a log of all discussions (including time/date and notes) and just see this through mate. It's quite strange - I too was driving on Springvale Road (minutes away from the police station) and this Toyota Aurion speeds up and plonks itself in front of me - I didn't pay any attention as I was so tired and I never engage in street drags anyways... then he slows down on purpose - it's a 60K road and yet he's doing like 40K - I knew it was trying to tease me... I was like WTF is his trouble... so I changed lanes... he speeds up and overtakes me... I still gave him benefit of the doubt and thought it was coincidental - so I changed to the original lane (left) - the guy does it again... so I knew it was trying to tease me... soon I had realised what he was trying to do... he was trying to make me speed an "HOON" so that I can get snapped by the speed camera's in the area or worse get pulled over by the cops and either defected or fined for speeding... So kept cool, drove slow with him... and the bastardd follows me all the way to Princess Highway... so I sped up (seeing that it's now a 80K road) - and wined down my window and shouted "what the helll is your problem?" He turns out to be a guy in his early 40's at least and he replies... "you bloodddy hoons, with the new laws they'll put you away sooner or later..." I was like, what the heck - he then winds up his window and ignores me - soon we parted ways but that was so stupid... I don't know if you guys notice this, but some times (especially with older drivers) - they give you this stare as if you're a thief or a criminal for driving a sports car. One of my friends got called a "blooddy racing driver wannabe" by a older woman when he was next to her and doingl ike 40K . There was a radio broadcast (I think someone's posted it here in the Wasteland section or something) inviting people to call in and voice their opinions on the new Anti-Hoon laws... most of them were older people - all complaining and laughing in victory as if they're targetting not just the ACTUAL HOONS (and I must say, these minority bastards gives us a bad name) but also ANYONE that drives a performance car. It's sickening, really is... so yeah buddy, you were either in bad luck or you were framed by that idiot ... nothing better to do then pick on us... just because we drive performance cars doesn't mean every one of us will drag, speed and kill people and ourselves... sickening, purely sickening!!! Good luck with it all mate.
  5. Hey mate, yeah the R2 Z Tune and the Top Secret T2 style is my pics - I'm leaning more towards the T2 at the moment but the R2 is nice as too... I will have to make up my mind as I'm ready to purchase one next month... have already made contact with some sellers on here... Yeah, I was going to raise the same question - how bad is Carbon bonnets (with vents) and rain water... is it that bad? Which bonnets do not get affected by rain water, do you think? To all: thanks for your opinions mate... if it's ok, can you please post up some pics with carbon bonnets on R33's? Thanks....
  6. Hey mate you got pictures of it - never heard of it. Thanks.
  7. Hey mate, I've responded to your PM - very interested... but can you please give price indications etc. Thanks, Kevin
  8. He Sis., You are recommending the bonnet below? I wouldn't have thought you would have chosen something more simpler unless I picked the wrong one...? Thanks for your opinion - but I think it's too fancy with too many vents for my liking...
  9. hahahah.... the definition of rice appears to be different to all.
  10. I am not taking sides - but the above picture of that R34 doesn't look very nice at all. I don't particularly like the Altezza lights - but the rest is pretty standard... bodykit, rims, some stickers... it is riced, but not that much... just my comments.
  11. Hey all, I am after a R33 CF bonnet or possiby FG ones but I am having trouble sourcing at a descent price. If anone has a second hand bonnet they want to sell please PM me otherwise anyone that has a good place in mind please also let me know - thank advance. Thanks.
  12. Hey all, The time has come for me to get a carbon fibre bonnet for my R33. Yet there remains two questions - 1) should I go full carbon fiber or the fiberglass one so that it matches my car's paint, 2) which one - see pics as I've narrowed it down to two options (the rest are gay as too many vents etc)... Choice 1: Top Secret "T2" style - http://www.carmate.com/product_details.php...N&p_id=9772 Choice 2: R2 Nismo style - http://www.carmate.com/product_details.php...N&p_id=9742 Please let me know peoples. Many thanks, Kevin
  13. Like you said, each to their own - but I personally can't drive a stock car - at least a bodykit, exhaust and some ICE inside... but I agree with you, too much RICE can ruin the way the car was intended to look/perform.
  14. A bit of "RICE" with performance to back it all up isn't that bad... but to answer your question, some people RICE to their cars to make it look fast but really they got nothing, e.g. most Lancers, Civics and Echo's etc. Instead of laughing at them, I feel sorry for them... some people can't afford to have an all-out beast, you know?
  15. Hey fellas, I am organising a Skyline meet for tomorrow at the local carwash in Maidstone on ballarat road close to Caltex. Let's all meet there, then go for a photoshop and and catch up a bit. Expressions of interest? Hope to see everyone there...
  16. Bring it to most panel shops - they will do it, should cost around $50.00 a guard. Get it done right...
  17. Thanks everyone! Much appreciated.
  18. Yeah mate - that's it...
  19. Well, they're rare as you can't really get them any more... hence rare.
  20. Hey fellas, As the subject suggests, I am after a R33 carbon fibre bonnet - I have looked everywhere, it would seem only carmate.com would stock them - does anyone know of any other places (preferrably in Melbourne) - I want to go and eyeball on, pay for it and know that it will fit nicely - don't want to buy over the internet so much... there must be a place in Melbourne. Please help or if someone has a second hand one that they want to part with - please do PM me. I am after one that has some vents not just the same looking one in CF. Thanks. Regards, Kevin
