  1. Cheers mate... this is what I meant... the springs are just a short term fix with the stock shockies until I get the cash and the time to get full coilovers put in - yeah I had guessed that this combo will prove to be of some issues in the long run. Mate - we'll see how I go, might not even lower it... if the 18 inch rims fit nice enough I might leave it stock as my current set up provides a very comfortable ride and I guess Nissan had design it this way for a reason. Cheers,
  2. No worries mate... the plan is, I'm putting my 18" on this Saturday (can't wait) - if they look good enough, I won't even dump them as the seller thinks stock looks fine and if lowered further might scrap so we'll see... if I think the gap is marginal will not get springs, but yeah, if gap is too much then King springs are not stand by... pictures will be up in a few days (check back). Yeah, I don't see why they won't last 1-2 years if you don't push it that hard... besides the look, I like my car average height - as going too low can get you defected, an uncomfortable ride plus just isn't needed.... I'll keep you posted.
  3. Yeah sure, this a old picture of my car before a full respray, new wings and new Evo 6 spikes... but yeah, you'll get an appreciation for them.... let me know if you want to buy them.
  4. Used Vortex spikes - I think there was 20 in each pack - I bought 2... so yeah, whatever that's left, wanna get rid of them. Interested, PM me and they're yours. I got the proper ones on now - looks nicer as the spikes are bigger. But these ones aren't too bad either.
  5. Will do mate, this is a short-term fix... I don't take it to the track and don't push my car that much, so I think this should be ok for a year or two - wouldn't worry that much - but will of course be upgrading. Cheers, Kevin
  6. I finally ordered a evo-like original from Japan, so I got these ones for sale ... note: used and some need replacement double-sided tape - but willing to stell all 40 of them or so for $40.00 inclusive postage - PM if you're interested. Cheers.
  7. Thanks fellas... very informative posts. For now, as a short term thing - I will dump my car with king springs and use the standard shock absorbers - but in a couple of years will upgrade to Tein springs. Getting this done this weekend. Thanks.
  8. Where's the DIY??? I don't get it.
  9. Thanks mate... great news... I'll might as well get new nuts then... cheers. You've been a great help - much appreciated.,
  10. Thanks fellas - thanks R34GTFOUR - so it's not the end of the world. So in other words, I'll definitely should get a new set of lock nuts then? Like some others have said, I should get a new one in case I get a flat and can't remove the locknut. Well, at least I know it should be ok for now though. does anyone know how much a set of lock nuts will cost? Thanks all for your help... i was so worried...
  11. Hi fellas, Please help me out - I am getting my new 18" rims put on this Saturday (they didn't come with any wheel nuts) and will have to obviously remove my current wheels from my car. Only issue is, the current set of wheels have lug nuts on them (aka lock nuts) - now, the thing is I have lost the key to these. So the question is; 1) will I be able to get them removed without damaging them so they can be reused? 2) if they're going to get damaged and won't be reusable - do you think the TyrePower place can sell me some cheap ones? If anyone is from the Western suburbs of VIC that has a set (4x5=20) lying around, please let me know. Thanks, SM
  12. Good question - wouldn't mind the same. Thanks.
  13. I got 18 inch rims, do you think they will fit flush or will I still need springs - if so, would these springs make scrap?
  14. Thanks mate.... oh, Skylines com with coilovers as standard? Does that mean if I want to lower my car, I'll have get rid of these coilovers and replace them with those springs. Also, you talked about shocks - now, I'm planning to use my factory shocks on King Springs - is this something that is of an issue? Thanks.
  15. Nice rims, I would lower the car a bit and chuck a bodykit on the thing then we're talking.
  16. Personally, if your car is not a GTR - I would leave them plain - plain looks tougher as the Nismo wants stand out too much and make the wing look out of place - but to you though. Also try www.justjap.com - they sell them too, not sure about price.
  17. These free stock items you speak of - what exactly are they? Thanks.
  18. Mate, would you consider swapping for a heavily modified R33 GTST with full GTR kit, wing and new 18 inch rims and cash your way?? Let me know ASAP, I got the money ready.
  19. Oh my God - that's nearly flawless... amazing.... you got my pictures of the side / back etc?
  20. Hi fellas, I just got some new 18" rims and am thinking about getting some new springs in my car. I know King Springs won't last forever as compared to say good Tein suspension or coilovers - but this is a shortfix, I am hoping to get 2-3 years out of these springs - does this sound feasible and realistic. It'll be mainly for daily driving and no track at all. Also, would King Springs lower it nicely so that my 18" rims get close to the guards but I do not want rubbing - OR, should I live it on stock suspension, I don't want it to hit the guards fully, just want it to get as close as possible and absolutely do not want rubbing. Your thoughts people? Cheers.
  21. Firstly, they can be fixed - so don't stress too much. Yeah, post up some close up pics of the rims and we'll try to help you.
  22. I would go Nismo with extra (separate) lip - Do-luck sideskirts and a put a GTR wing on. Nice... then of course get nice 18" rims, dump it down a bit and you're set...
  23. For starters, keep your eyes peeled and check the Sales section more often - secondly, you might wanna post this in the WTB section instead of here. Lastly, yes, Xenons are very nice, clean looking bright light - I don't like HID's that are more blue than white - makes it look cheap and also it's usable light... Xenons will normally cost $2K or something, so you might wanna shop around a bit. Good luck.
  24. Nice - clean, simple and tough-looking - I like your style buddy. Cheers for the info. Well, just an update for everyone - I got myself a new set of 18" rims today (of another SAU member) so I guess when I get a bit of time, I will look at trying to get my current rims fixed and I've always wanted black rims, so I will powdercoat mine black soon. Cheers, Kevin
