fellas - how long do hid's generally last?

This is correct from what i've heard... sooner or later it will crack due to the pressure put on it, and you will get crack marks... i would be careful and only proceed if you're after a quick fix. otherwise, get a widebody full kit.

Interested in your RIMS - PM me if they come in a full set of 4. How about tyres - what types, percentage of tread left.

Thanks fellas for your thoughts... I just got the wing from carmate... one word 'AMAZING." I must say, I've heard mixed thoughts about carmate.com - but now, I am a true fan of them... wow, the wing came wrapt in plastic, had carboard cushioning, more wraping and cotton all over... I opened it up - wow, didn't have a single stretch - was literally sparkling... the wing fit on perfectly flush, came with everything including instructions and a manual with all wiring, screws etc... I am speechless, not only did the product come back sparkling... it was rushed her at jetspeed... think about it, I ordered online, paid via credit card, rang the guy like 3 times asking questions about the wing etc on Friday and here it is Monday afternoon.... very impressed... this wing came with LED light, looks awesome and is under $400 inclusive of postage... I don't know, I am speechless... Thanks all.

Would you consider $290 pick up? If not, good luck with the sale mate - not saying it's cheap, just saying how much I can afford at the moment.

Hey fellas, I've finally decided to go get a nice set of H.I.D's for my car - was wondering how bright should I go? I found that in general, H.I.D's come in 3 intensity levels - 6K, 8K and 10K. Apparently: The colour of the light source is expressed as its colour temperature. As the colour temperature increases, the colour of the light moves from blue to white. HID headlights provide light at a higher colour temperature than standard halogen headlights, which gives them a crisp white appearance. More K does not mean it is brighter. 6000K lamps provide a pure white with very little blue colour. 8000K lamps are light blue/white in colour. 10000K lamps are closest to blue with very little white colour. I want mine to be really white - so does this mean go for the 6K, however, a few others suggested that go 8K - as it's more brighter light and with a touch of blue, it makes the car look better and night... Hi all, As most of you know, I want to get a different kinda looking wing for my R33 - was going to put a R34 GTR OEM wing on, but checked everywhere and they're all sold out and probably be a 4-5 month wait on the actual wing I wanted. The normal GT metal wings doesn't do it for me when it comes to the R33, so decided to go back to the good old GTR wing. Now here's the thing, I checked all the specs etc everywhere and it seems like the GTS, GTST and GTR all have the same size boot - hence, one GTR wing fits all - this is correct? The reason the I ask is that I came across a replica GTR wing a couple of months ago (unpainted at an aftermarket car shop called Cybertury) here in Melbourne - anyway, they had a R33 replica wing, I put it on my car for size and it was like 2 inches smaller on both sides... the area in between the two "bat-like ears" of the boot was much more larger on my car so the wing stupidly just set right in the middle - so obviously, I couldn't proceed. I asked a few people including some members on here and nearly everyone said the R33 boot should be the same (not talking backbar etc here) - so they said probably the above wing was don't wrongly or is a R33 GTR wing but designed more so to fit something like a Civic or a Corolla... so anyways, I've ordered one from catmate.com and they confirm that I should get it within 5 working days - I rang the guy a few times to make sure and he said it should 100% fit flush... was just wondering if this is correct and if so, would it fit just nicely? Firstly, how is this a 'comestic' question? Secondly, yes you need the adaptor plug pluggued in - as this tells the ECU what's going on airflow-wise, disconnected it and the car won't start.

Thanks mate... I just bought a Greddy Emanage, and will get a good reputable shop to tune my car soon - as you may have heard about my case - ever since I put in an aftermarket BOV (although it vents 100% back) - the car still stalls sometimes. So you think a tune can fix this? Thanks.

Hang on, did someone say, the Greddy Emanage can make the ECU run without an AFM? my AFM has been causing me so much grief... can someone please confirm this.

I personallly think the cooler should not be meshed up - looks tougher this way, but everyone to their own... If you do go mesh, get the smaller - tighter-together ones that are in black... looks tough as...

Fair enough mate.... up to every individual, I guess... But look, if you do go for one, make sure they are stuck on properly or they will look ugly as and will make your car look really cheap. Good luck.

Update: Last weekend 5/01/08 at approx 1:24pm, I saw the same car again - I drove after it this time... but unfortunately, the day saw heavy traffic, so I lost him... it's definitely your car, looks exactly like the one in the picture... however, it had some plates on it this time... i only got the first two letters, and please please do not hold me to this as it was from a distance, but it think it was " P L .... " something something... The guy definitely lives in the Noble Park area - what you should do is this... call the cops, then with their support, put up pictures of your stolen car all over the area, e.g. NP Coles, community centres, schools, unis etc... he'll get caught sooner than later... but, with different plates, I don't know.... I know this is bad... keep at it mate.

Strongly wouldn't encourage you to get eyelids as it makes the car look less nice - but up to you, give www.jetspeed.com.au a call - they stock them or can make them out easily for you at a fairly good price.
