  1. Mate, mine's the same... the one bad thing about a HKS SSQV is that it requires a lot of boost in order for it to sound good... I would need to have over 5K RPM's to have a nice sound and yes - this is exactly how it should sound. Mine sounds the same too... not exactly the toughest sound, but a very nice stylish sound. You can't adjust the HKS BOV - that's just that... perhaps run higher boost through it and see...
  2. So many people saying sell sell - I say don't sell... the S15 runs a SR20 - that's a 4 cylinder 2.0 litre turbo versus a 2.5 litre 6 cylinder turbocharged Skyline... the S15 looks hideous and is piss weak... sure, some are heavily modified and yes, mods vs mods etc - but trust me, stock for stock - jump in a S15 Silvia and you will regret it - you will feel a power drop for sure. But yes, S15 is newer and does look slick as well - I do like their interior but looks-wise, a R33 rules imo. I would never get a S15. If I were to upgrade, R33 GTR full stop.
  3. Yeah, if all things fail - I might bring the HKS SSQV into a tuner and get them to tune my car with the BOV. Thanks.
  4. Yeah, it's plumbed back... care to show how they managed to plumb it back - pic of the engine bay would be good? The SSQV makes a very nice sound...
  5. I don't know where I'm ma going to go.... everything (most things) are closed.... say, does anyone know where I can get some sand paper like today?? Just need like 2 pieces to sand down my front bar and repaint... sick of the matt black look... wanna go matching paint and want to also patch up a fill cracks... Anyone got some that's from the Western suburbs? Thanks.
  6. Welcome mate... it's ashame.... it really disgusts me when dickflops vandalise and destroy other people's cars just because they're jealous! My car got smashed, keyed and even kicked last month.... farkersss Well, the V35 is hot... wonder if they are bodykits for them? I think a V35 kitted up with an exhaust would be unique and trick...
  7. The new GTR has grunt alright....
  8. You're a hardcore Transformers fan - good to see... I'm an autobot for life. lol
  9. Mate, will it be 2 in the package is just one? Sorry, kinda noobish question.... Cheers.
  10. I would recommend a Greddy Emanage Blue as a minimum. Otherwise, go Apexi FC.
  11. Mate, I would leave it blank - JDM look rocks... or just order a Nissan or a Nismo badge... looks trick. Call Justjap.com and they can order any badge you want.
  12. Depends on the severity of the scratches mate... Without seeing your car; if they're only minor scratches - try "ScratchX" - you can get these tubes from Autobarn or Repco - retail at around $20 I think - spend time rubbing away and then shimmy clean then you will see a good difference. If slight more serious - try a full cut and polish - will cost you around $170 for a good job - basically will cut away the primary layer of paint and will polish it up so with some luck and hard work, a good job will remove the scratches. If the scratches are paint-deep - no choice, repray... I would not recommend a spray-can job on a Skyline... let me know how you go, I can hook you up with a very good panel shop that is very competitively priced. Cheers.
  13. 1. R33 GTR VSPECII 2. R33 GTR (June-tuned). 3. R33 GTR (Top-secret tuned). 4. R33 GTR (Mines tuned). 5. R33 GTR (Nismo tuned). Need I say more? I am a R33 insane fanatic!!!
  14. Check your fuses - might fix the problem.
  15. Looks tough!!! Get the center console FB(ed) too - should look nice.
  16. Funky.... ha ha ha ah ah ah ah I hear ya mate... you crack me up mate... Merry Christmas!!!
  17. Just an update - it was the atmospheric HKS BOV .... I got a stock R33 GTR one and it works fine now as it's all plumbed back to the intake pipe. However, I really miss the Ppsshhhh sound and am thinking getting a 50/50 BOV to avoid the stalling issues whilst getting the nice sound and engine response.... tell me what you think... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MARS-MP-TX001-UNIVE...oQQcmdZViewItem
  18. Fellas, I have decided to go for this BOV... I had a similiar one and it worked fine as I'll go 50/50 - never lagged before. Was wondering, if I have an universal adaptor for a R33 (the one that looks a bit like the link below) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/28MM-NEW-TURBO-BOV-...1QQcmdZViewItem Would the following BOV bolt straight on or will I need anything else? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...A:IT&ih=024 Can someone please confirm the above? Thanks.
  19. Mate, take it to Chasers Motor Works in Footscray and speak to Paul tell him Kevin sent you - he'll help you out, does a great job with EMU's.
  20. Hey fellas, I am going to install a Greddy Emanage onto my car next month and get a full tune - was wondering if a tune would make a HKS Atmo BOV work with stall? I really like the sound and responsiveness of the HKS BOV - but was wondering if it would still stall? Cheers.
  21. Apexi PowerFC on an automatic Skyline? I heard this is not possible...??
  22. Yeah, go Funky .... lol Well yeah, the Do Luck side skirts look hot but I don't like their front and back bars. With a R33, you gotta play around with the kits or it will look boat-like.....
  23. ..No worries mate. If I were you, I'll consider my options first... one thing though, if you get an aftermarket FB boot, it won't look as flush.... so yeah....
  24. Damn,, the black R33 from JDL Tuning looks hot as... gotta say, this guy knows a thing or two about cosmetics - he/she should be a Revlon chick... lol Damn, by adding the little hood-wing thing on the back window it blends well with the d-wing and looks flush at... not to mention the veilside backbar... nice... but like I said earlier... this look makes it look Elegant and family-car style - not a Sports and tough look.... Up to you on what style you want to achieve....
  25. Mate, yeah carmate.com definitely have them - despite what some say, they're not too bad, but you'll be in for a 2-3 week wait for them to dispatch something now seeing it's Christmas and all. I'd also try XXX Bodykits and Jetspeed - I know they have them too. What you can do if you like is bring your car to a panel beater and get them to flush-fill your boot with fibreglass - looks very nice too and possibly cheaper. Good luck. Cheers,
