I know exactly how you feel... my 7 month sentence is also coming to an end... March is the big day for me... got 6 months for lost of demerit points then an extra one for going to court - it's freaked... but hey... soon now... Congratulations... just learn from your lesson and don't do anything silly again!!

Look mate, here's my honest opinion - just spend the cash and get everything done right then get a legit RWC - this is what I have done... I've taken my BOV off, put my stock airbox on etc and now everything is good - for some sound etc, I really can't be bothered about getting defect notices... go stock as this is the safest and long-term fix... not worth it mate... Good luck - I know it sucks... but get it fixed now...

Very sad news... when I saw it, I was really shocked... all of them so young - weeks to go before Christmas - just makes you think how lives can be easily destroyed... I have lost many friends through street racing... RIP.... Any details of what happened? Was it a S15 that raced against the Commodore that carried these for men?

Wow, your list of mods is amazing... breath-taking... Very good price... post up pics and I'm sure people will consider it.

Is My Bov Ok Or Screwed?
Spunky Munky replied to blitz r33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
As I had responded to your other BOV thread... atmospheric BOVS are a hassle (learnt the hard way as I bought one not too long ago... mate, if you get a Greddy emanage or a Apexi PC or most other ECU's you can get this tuned in... that's if you're willing to buy an after ECU unit and willing to pay $450 for a tune... the easy alternative, just put on a plumb-back BOV or put the stock on back on...nothing wrong with the stock one... I wouldn't leave this issue for too long as the stalling will increase. -
R-33 Must Be Tuned To Fit Atmospheric Bov?
Spunky Munky replied to blitz r33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
No, you don't have to necessarily get your whole car tuned just for a ATMO... the Atmo aka atmospheric BOV is a funny one.... on nearly 80% of Skylines it will cause bad stalling issues... as it plays with the AFM or something and your car will just shut down... I would recommended a plumb back on where the discharge is plumbbed back into the engine... as this is the way it was designed... But if you want a HKS SSQV - buy mine - it's the latest one, I'll sell it to you for $150 plus postage. PM me if you're interested otherwise good luck. -

Good Panel Repairer / Painted In Western Suburbs?
Spunky Munky replied to Spunky Munky's topic in Victoria
Hi mate, you might not remember me - I bought the R34 Nismo wing off you a couple of months ago - we met in Chadstone, remember? Yeah, mate - I know GAL is a good workshop - I have called him, will bring my car into his shop this weekend for a quick quote... but to be honest, price is a bit of an issue as I am on a bit of a budget. My car needs 3 things done... the quater panel near the back close to the lights on the right side (close to fuel cap) is damaged and has a dint size of a palm... that obviously needs to be pumped out and repainted... my whole back boot needs to be repainted and a new GTR wing (currently only in primer) needs to be be painted and fitted. Overall, Prime Garage have quoted me $500 for all of the above work - which is absolutely excellent... that's pretty much about all I can afford for the above now... if anyone can match or beat this price then I'm all ears. What you guys think? Thanks for your advice bro... hope you're doing well. -

R33 Stock B.o.v - The Best For The Car?
Spunky Munky replied to Spunky Munky's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Update: Installed the stock BOV on my car this morning... at first (maybe because the ECU) was still adjusting... it kept stalling... but then after an hour or so, it tuned itself and is running nicely now ... no more stalling... damn, spent a bit on the HKS SSQV and now back to stock... some times it's not worth modifying.... I'll let it run a couple more days before giving everyone a run down. Thanks. -
If your car is running a atmo BOV, get rid of it and go stock... then get a nice dyno re-tuned... this should fix all your issues. Good luck Regards, Kevin

R33 Stock B.o.v - The Best For The Car?
Spunky Munky replied to Spunky Munky's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks fellas... I guess, there's nothing wrong with going stock... besides, the POD has good stocking and let off sound so it's not too bad (sound wise)... as for the atmo one... man, bleeding and stalling like a biagge.... lol.... Anyone know how to modify the stock one a bit to make it sound better? Search the DIY section but found nothing. -
I would suggest you get your car's windows tinting (if it's no already)... darkest legal would be good... then on a really sunday day... wind your windows up.. that's about all I can suggest...

Fellas, As the subject suggests... I got myself a nice HKS SSQV s2 (atmospheric) B.O.V a couple of weeks ago and my car's been stalling like a sick dog for no reason... the sound of the HKS isn't actually top-notch either so I've decided to go back to stock... as I don't want the car to keep stalling and the stock SSHHHHHH sound isn't too bad either... Was wondering 2 things... 1) Anyone experience similiar issues with Atmo B.O.V's? 2) How do I make my stock B.O.V sound better which makes the nicer and louder sshhhhh sound? Regards,

Hey fellas, As the subject states - my dash Speedo's light has blown ... I will have to get it replaced by a mechanic, but thought I'll be proactive and buy some replacement bulbs before I bring my car over... so was wondering firstly what types of bulbs are they (i.e. size, type, watts etc) - and also how many would I need to light up the whole dash as usual? I was thinking to use this opportunity to put in bright white ones. Thanks all.

Matty, Cheers mate.... yeah, I must say... who cares what others think of your ride - it's your ride and you wanna ride it quite comfortably... e.g. my car, it's got original springs and height... I like it like that as it's comfortable - sure, looks a bit shit but who cares... sure of going on an agle over bumps and getting my front bar cracked all the time... not to mention feeling every twig and stone on the ground... nice put buddy... Nice ride... I would just give it a good wax job and done... the R33 GTR is by far the hottest GTR ever... Cheers,
