Ignore me. Apologies. Im thinking the issues I experienced was due to all models being the VRX. I drove every model up until the recent shut down of mitis (through brother in law) since the release of their 3.5ltr. Both auto and manual. Manuals went pretty damn well stock and 'fun' to drive. Love the motor super torquey down low and responsive. When pushed hard and they were a fairly quick thing just need to hold on to the steering wheel hard especially when accelerating at the lights and clipping a pot hole. If only they made the Magna RWD and released a model with 2 more cylinders. Also had some fun with the AWD Magna's. Quite nice if only they dropped small supercharger or couple of turbo's on to it. Reverse donuts FTW. lol The latest 380 I drove is 'ok' but personally I preferred the 3.5ltr as it was a fair bit more tractable. The 3.8ltr smokes the fronts way too easy.

Pic 3 FTW.

Is this the sticker?

Bloody nora what magna was this? All the ones I've driven new from factory have had some fairly severe torque steer problems especially compared to the fwd Mazda's. The VRX's are exceptionally bad with their LSD. One year the LSD was very tight massive torque steer definitely a both hand white knuckled job on the steering wheel on corner exit, following year they loosed the lsd off and years following they continued to loosen it off until the last model (380) there was basically No LSD. :S

Thats not my words/thoughts. To be honest. Im just here to make sure Ruby doesn't post porn.

lol.. and all those new threads created by Ruby telling us about his personal life and all the lunches he has cut. hehe

lol yeah I saw that Vu cheers.

And Craig.. The ban stick out for speaking your mind.. Im not going to pull that shit. I'm not one for warnings unless its porn and a few other things.

A quick search.. Username Change http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/se...username+change Stickers http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/se...ite=%2Bstickers Bloody pair of girls. And I'm a grumpy bastard. lol I've been a mod for a little over 6 years here on SAU maybe its time for a change.

My pm box is full of useless shit pm's from randoms. Half the time I read them at work don't answer as I'm too busy (unless its something important) For f**k sake use the search function. 'Boys' - In 'life' people don't hold your hand. You have to pull your head out of your ass and work shit out for yourself instead of taking the easy way out.

I've taken off briskly at the lights to have commondoors, multiple NA R33's scream past (abiet slowly) and no doubt they have thought i was 'dragging' when really i was simply taking off briskly. Which is still probably 7-8secs or so to 100km/h. Possibly this is what occurred with the honda. He took off briskly and the Honda sailed past thinking it fully street raced his arse. ---- 200kw at the wheels in a 1000kg car will offer similar performance to ~270rwkw (depending on power delivery lag mid range torque etc) or so in a 1300kg R32 GTST. burkill.. What power at the wheels is your 'mates' 'fully worked' b16a making? Power to weight IS king. What year is the CRX?
-
Hrmm.. My old 5ltr VS 5speed even before the tune didn't pop flames. It would burble but never pop flames. If its popping flames it just means its going way to rich some where. Best to be tuned out.

The RB20DET cams require a little fiddling with adj cam gears to make the most of them. When I ran the RB25DE cams they made good power once a larger turbo was dropped on. The RB25de centerlines do suit the rb30 with a larger turbo better than what untouched rb20det cams do. Std cams mine made peak power at 6000rpm and torque peaked at around 3500rpm. STD and VG30 turbo peak power was at 4400rpm that held on flat until 4800rpm for the std turbo. The VG30 turbo was pretty much the same but held on to peak until ~5500rpm where it would nose over hard. I suspect valve springs were playing an issue with high back pressure on the exhaust side. In comparison to RB25DET's with their VCT and the same turbo same boost etc on the same dyno mine was making ever so slightly better power. Which is most likely as a result of the head that had been ported polished. A set of cams saw mine pick up close to 25rwkw on the same boost. It now allows a heap more ignition timing and is no where near det as it was when running the std cams. It makes the power easier and is not as highly strung as it was with stock cams.

Cronic.. No cat allows huge flames if the car is not tuned correctly. Even with No bov and AFM with decent tuning flamage should not be an issue. Speaking from previous experience where no bov and a std tune killed my cat so I temporarily shoved a decat pipe in while waiting for a replacement. Its surprising how well flamage can be tuned out with out affecting driveability with running an afm and no bov. The std pfc tune had it blowing flames on first to second part throttle gear changes when I blocked off the bov.

lol Im not bickering just in a bitch of a mood.

oeeerrr. Crap.. the spiral is there to kill noise with 'minimal' impact on exhaust flow given the size of the Milotin. If you wish to make some reasonable 250rwkw+ power out of the car and worried about noise then its worth while considering 2x larger body 3-3.5" straight through mufflers. Straight through is by far the best especially if you have plans for the car. Those louvres occupy area within the pipe reducing the available area for air to be pushed through. If a 3" straight through muffler begins to struggle over 270rwkw reducing the available surface area will introduce backpressure. Sure it will sound quieter but it will kill power. The spiral muffler is a shit load better than the multipass 'turbo' muffler but none the less if its all out performance you want straight through is the best. Especially if your pushing your size pipe near its flow limits. JunBL no where claim the spiral offers better 'power' performance than a straight through muffler. It simply states they are one of the best on the market that 'increase' (overstock) power while retaining streetable noise. Canons are shit at noise control. So IMO its run a Milotin with reduced performance but a quieter exhaust or run a large body straight through muffler with reasonable sound control and improved performance. All depends on the plans for the car. Their 3.5" spiral should be fine but from speaking to a few workshops the 3" kills power a tad. Get Mark to throw up some dyno sheets of his new released 3.5" spiral. Would like to see something making up around 300rwkw+ with one. 3.5" tyypically = 300+rwkw territory. A nice comparison - No mufflers, straight through canon, spiral canon.

Exchangable yes. The same no. Specs are different. RB25DE: Inlet cam size is the same but timing is suitable for n/a. Exhaust cam size is smaller and specs are suited for na.

My sister hired a jumping castle, had 2 slides and around the size of 2 hummers side by side. So not that big and supervision wasn't required by the owner.

Not sure what you are getting at? You need lean cruise. Im asking if programmable output options allow lean cruise. Their website only has a spec sheet that doesn't outline exactly what options are; 'programmable output options '
-
CLOSED LOOP CONTROL: With both cruise and idle settings PROGRAMMABLE OUTPUT OPTIONSCLOSED LOOP CONTROL: With both cruise and idle settings I presume the programmable output options allows lean cruise? Nice looking ecu. Witht he PFC when you add up the cost of a decent ebc, z32 afm (mine is already cracking 5v) etc the 'better' ecu's look quite a bit more attractive with all that gear built in (map sensor).

K&N oil filters FTW with their nut on the end.
-
I find 7000km is pretty much it for mine. It tends to develop a little lifter tick first thing if the oil isn't changed at 5k. I run plain old 8100 5w40. Motors now done 90,000km's still top compression, bores still look tops and no deposits in the top end.

Im here because it was reported. Should be busy working. :S http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/se...ult_type=topics +1 for damo You usually make a new thread every so often which is a tad pointless. Most really are just wasteland type posts. But meh.. I careless which is why I have not bothered moving or deleting them. If you feel the need to tell all via a new thread about your Divorce, An Offer I Couldn't Refuse!, A Slight Change In Plans!, I'm Back! then really thats your prerogative. Personally I just ignore them and and think bah another thread by Ruby. lol. But this thread. its closed. Its a waste of space.

lmao at the dreams. Back at Uni I solved some damn hard assignment problems through dreams. So in short cruise afr's are up around 16-17:1 (pulp corrected), mild load afr's? and WOT afr's around the 12:1 (pulp corrected)?

Turbo + VTEC and it introduces an extremely wide power band with huge amounts of average power. SOnly problem is it needs 6:1 diff gears to suit its 10-11k redline. Such a pitty all the honda crap is FWD.
