  1. Have a real good look at your exhaust before you consider bolting up another manifold be it s/steel exh. manifold. If your exhaust is hung incorrectly it will cause your exhaust manifold to crack. The exhaust cannot place any weight on the manifold what so ever be it bouncing or what not otherwise it WILL crack the manifold. You'll find the HPI manifolds won't cover an incorrectly hung exhaust - the scary thing is you pay ~1.2k for one where as the dude on ebay sells them for less than half the price for the same thing. Hang your exhaust correctly and you won't have to worry + its always wise to inspect the manifold before fitment. So even if you get it welded its a damn cheap manifold compared to buying the same thing/hpi for 1k. :S
  2. Was a fairly good overview/behind the scene's of the R35. Good to see Nissan was bought out by some one with a pashion. But damn Carlos was being pushed around in that seat of his. 2g's of cornering force.
  3. Your old setup bolted on to the new 4wd, swap the stally over and it all begins again. Or keeping this one pretty much stock?
  4. Nice.. So 4wd this time around?
  5. Foxtel Channel 612 - Supercar. Some decent footage of R35 assembly specs and drive.
  6. Hrmm.. Wonder if you can shove the GTO 3ltr rods, crank and pistons in to one
  7. All bets its a Legnum. I've been quietly interested in one of these also. Hows the economy Darren all though it doesn't really matter with fuel the way it is at the moment.
  8. Hi all. I'll close this thread for now. If you wish continue discussion over at - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/De...ad-t246921.html
  9. A place to report your defect, where you were defected and discuss defect related mods. Keep it clean with no slagging. If your defected out and about legitimately take it on the chin. On the other hand if your defected for an item which is standard (i.e the factory bov) let us know. But keep it clean. Info Bulletin 3 - General ADR Guidelines Info Bulletin 44 - Vehicle Ride Heights
  10. It has to be there.
  11. Yep I'll be dropping mine as soon as I can get my hands on a set of C-spanners.
  12. What makes me happy. 1. Paying Telstra as little as I can. 2. Work paying for Internet 3. VoIP - 8c local/national and 10.5c per minute (per sec billing) mobile.
  13. Bike (deadly treadlys) riders who come up the left of you at a set of traffic lights and then angle them selves in front so your stuck behind them. Quite patient with bike riders... Just that one where they blatantly obstruct traffic gets up my nose. I've seen one bike rider at my local small roundabout moving faster than the cars flying up the inside. He attempted to squeeze past the car only to swear and carry on when he clips the gutter and stacks it as the car didn't see him flying up the inside. :S
  14. RB25 ecu isn't too bad with the 30 but the rb20 ecu freaks out if you make boost. Hence wire the gate open and use lots of throttle. Ideally do it on a dyno. Mines been fine though 100,000km's under its belt with wiseco forged pistons that 'slightly' slap on cold start and it still isn't blowing smoke. When I pulled the head off at 70,000km's the bores looked perfectly fine with no scuffing.
  15. There's an old saying that I've learnt the hard way when working on cars in the past. "The poor man pays twice". Substitute poor for lazy.
  16. Thats farked. Sucks if its the injectors. Did you end up having them them cleaned/checked at MRE?
  17. Still inclined to think the plugs are just fouled to all bugger. Took ages before my mates ran on 6.
  18. Working late tonight mate. Will finish up ~10:30.
  19. Ahh thats possibly where the confusion was as the GTS4 didn't have rego as well as the GTR also. :S + being fed a little shit from motor reg. or maybe my misunderstanding lol.
  20. Pete, Out of curiosity did you transfer rego in to your name while over there?
  21. I was told by the local motor reg and Regency park; buy a car from interstate and it requires a full VIS at regency park. Move from interstate and all is required is a identity check. By transferring the reg while your interstate they process it the same as if you lived there and simply move here. A little loop hole if you like. I rung around etc when I was going to bring a GTS4 in from QLD; a mate then bought in a GTR and also came across the full inspection problem so he went with the transfer in to your name while interstate method. Received his QLD renewal at his SA address; reregistered and then popped down to Sturt for a quick identity inspection. Obviously a highmount and you'll be slapped with a defect but the point is they don't shove it over the pits and go over it with a fine tooth and comb. Things change so best bet is to give Motor reg a quick buzz. Be sure to ask the right questions other wise you will receive the short and sweet answer.
  22. While your over there transfer the rego in to your name pay the stamp duty etc. Then you will be sent the renewal to your SA address. Pay this renewal for 3-6 + months or until you are sent a notice you are required to transfer to sa rego of which may be 2 years lol. After that period renew again and then take it to Sturt Police station for a basic VIS and transfer to SA rego. If you don't do it this way then you'll be up for a full VIS courtesy of Motor Reg Regency Park.
  23. If there not firing its multimeter time to see if the problem is with the loom or the injector.
  24. Another way to check the injectors are firing and when they 'should' be firing is to pull the cas out; ignition to the on position and then spin the cas clockwise slowly when looking at the shaft from behind. You'll hear the injectors click click click. Make sure they follow the firing order.
  25. Pink shirts with popped collars. You don't have any pink shirts do you Pete?
