  1. Thats correct, you will need 2. Do you want 2? 2 RB20/25 afm would probably meet your requirements depending on power goals? 400rwkw+ will require Z32's.
  2. They don't like RB30DET's torque in third with over 200rwkw. They strip it clean. But definitely an under rated gearbox, I'm impressed with mine, if it went tomorrow I would not be dissapointed with its strength. You will need to sus out the wiring as the ecu pin outs are different.
  3. Postage to vic isn't a problem. Postage costs are minimal, no nasty surprises.
  4. How did the ol' Nissan handle the impact? I've seen a few handle roll overs pretty damn well. I've seen a couple VN/VS commodores not handle roll overs, roof flattens level with the doors. :S
  5. Bosch make the AFM for nissan, as NGK make the oxygen sensors for nissan. So in short its a Bosch AFM, as is the afm you buy from nissan. See initial thread start post for pics I've attached. You can see to the left of the flow direction where nissan have their nissan emblem stamped.
  6. No.. If you want the plug head down to the wrecker and grab one from a VL or R31. I do have wiring diagrams for both the R32/R33 S1 and the R33 S2. I don't have wiring diagrams for the GTR's. If some one does, please drop me a pm and I will grab them from you. Its not rocket science though, easy to wire, you have a + feed, earth(s), signal.
  7. If you have the part number you can buzz any auto parts store and they will give you a price on the Q45/VH41. Retail for the Z32's are $450. They can be found at trade for ~$390.
  8. RB20DET_Silvia I ran 1-1.1bar for a solid 100,000km's on my rb20det turbo, std boost was 11psi. It was running lots of ign. timing and slightly rich (in the 11's). Mine was only street driven, no big long 4th gear windouts. Its well known the rb20det turbo on the rb20det motor handles 1bar no problems, the rb20det at 15psi has similiar airflow to the rb25det at 10psi.
  9. lol... i did indeed miss read your post.
  10. Possibly? I don't mean to sound harsh but I really don't want to be buggered around on this as I'm not making anything on it, in fact its costing me slightly. For future ppls possibly interested, please be sure if you are interested or don't mention you may be.
  11. It probably feel quicker due to R&R.. No longer linear but has power dips so it feels like the mid range screams then lays off a little then top end screams again. Well maybe not.. I'm just dribbling shiet. lol Never wind up boost until you hit the dyno, you don't know the condition of your fuel pump, unless you have already replaced it with a new item.
  12. GTS4dood, You run a RB20DET, total different kettle of fish..
  13. Unless its already detonation a higher ron fuel will do jack diddly squat. The Nissan ECU isn't that smart.
  14. R32 boy, Please refer to origional post. If you are still interested let me know.

Disregard my previous post. I am able to get them for flat 300's. I'm not making anything, I'm doing it for the love. I've made a thread in the group buy section, register your interest.
  16. NEW Bosch/Nissan Z32 Airflow Meter. $300 + registered post. + $6.35 + insurance if you wish. + $3.30 http://www.auspost.com.au/ I will only send via registered post as it provides proof. If in SA pickup available Direct Deposit only. I can supply plugs OR you can zip down to your local wrecker and pick up a second hand item from a VL or R31 RB30E. Providing we can get 15 plugs together they plugs can be done for an extra $10.70 each. As the AFM is a new item from Bosch. Bosch make the Airflow meters for Nissan. Buy a Nissan afm and you will find Bosch/Jecs markings on it. The Bosch Z32's RRP is $450, trade is ~$390. From memory Nissan want ~$600 odd. Interested Persons: ---------------- 1. 4door_Sleeper - 1 AFM 2. mickr33 - 1 AFM 3. NARDI - 1 AFM 4. dangerman4 - 1 AFM 5. r32_rookier - 2 AFM's, 2 plugs 6. dacow - 1 AFM 7. Skylinecoupe - 1 AFM, 1 plug 20. clayoth - 2 AFM's, 2 plugs 21. Speed safe - 1 AFM, 1 plug 22. Predator 23. SKY34 24. Fangz Total AFM's - 29 Total Plugs - 21 ---------------- Due to a shortage of supply the group buy will not go ahead until....... Bosch are ready. According to Bosch: At some stage there was a manufacturing problem that caused a lot of back orders. They estimated they would be in surplus by the 1st of May. Its now the 1st of May and they still have backorders. Z32 Airflow meters are available in small numbers around various suppliers for the full price but as I said... In small numbers. The supply to these suppliers obviously takes priority over our group buy. To my surprise, I received a call early this morning, Bosch have now pushed the date to the 1st of July. Either way, 'eventually' our group buy will go ahead. For a new afm that you don' t have to worry about for another 10years its an awesome price.

If this is going to work I'm going to need some one who has access to a mechanics abn.
  18. Wal.. Your avtar makes me dizzy.
  19. At the end of the day the R31 has a better build quality, is more reliable and is much less likely to have had a hammering. This is what it really comes down to when buying an old car, especially if its your first car as money is likely to be thin, you don't want to be spending money you don't have on repairs.
  20. And if the part isn't related then you are up shiet creek paddling to the wreckers hoping the part is decent.
  21. I saw a rather nice looking VL Calais sitting next to a R31 Silhouette GTS, I'd have to say the R31 did look much nicer. Comparing the VL to the usual R31 I'd have to say the VL has it over the R31, but not the silhouette GTS.
  22. Its a little scary they skimped on fitting efi. :S Hopefully it pulls up, handles and has the aero to hold it to the ground. Impressive torque none the less.
  23. Why are you going the hks cast manifold Troy? Old one cracked? I will be keen to see back to back results.
  24. Rebuilt to the same specs or?!?!
  25. I notice you have covered your heater box and HOSES with heat wrap roy..
