When were you looking at heading down. I'm dropping the injectors and turbo on in a fortnight and would like to have a hack.

No difference either way. -
Falcon XR6T, I questioned the boost levels.. 31psi or what ever it worked out to be to myself appeared way too high, especially after browsing the xr6t forums as I often do. 99% of the people here appreciate the XR6T. Its an awesome car with excellent potential, Ford bolting such a decent sized turbo on the side is simply.... awesome.

The Best Insuarnce Company For Imports?
Cubes replied to {AMO}'s topic in General Automotive Discussion
You do realise when you list your mods they must be 100% legal. If it isn't.. Goodbye insurance policy. However, insurance company's don't usually pick on this unless you were being totally stupid and crashed the car. -

Many years ago when I had a bar and plate fmic fitted I noticed a slight decrease in throttle response, mainly getting it up on boost in first and second. However 3rd gear + it actually felt as if it had picked up power once it was reving and was much more consistent. I used to run 15psi, 17degree's timing 164rwkw. On 12.5psi it ran a shade over 20degree's timing - 152rwkw. The S14's go pretty well with simple mods such as exhaust and boost. To be honest I thought the s14 would be slightly quicker than a r32 with similiar mods. 91+ model R32s weigh slightly over 1300kg's. 89/90 models are high 1200's. Definitely not low to mid 1200's.

Its a late model vg30det by the looks of the comp wheel and the position of the nipple on the comp cover. On the turbine housing there should also be an OP6 stamped some where. On the RB25's good for a fairly easy 200rwkw at 12psi. The turbo doesn't suit the rb20det's too well due to its larger turbine housing yet smaller comp wheel than a r33 rb25 turbo. The 45V1/2/3/4 comp covers are all the same. They are placed on the R33/R32/VG30DET turbo's. The numbers are not really related to what turbo it is, to determine where the turbo is from you have to look at the comp wheel size/design and turbine housing size.

Top RB20 Club... do you have over 260rwkw?

Well.. Where's the dyno sheet. -

If you don't want to spend a great deal trouble shooting look at Blackwood auto and dyno. They only change $35 for a power run vs $80+ from other workshops. Get them to throw it on their hoist, drop the exhaust as SK has stated, quick power run. $max 100 later I would say the exhaust will be either ruled out or culprit. If Blackwood can't get you in I would say Boostworx. -

What dyno's have you had it on? -
R32 being a lower diff ratio (4.363:1) will allow the little S13 accelerate a little harder. Make it punch off the line a little easier.

Inlet manifold.

No, because they don't fit.

I had a older bogan in his HZ V8 harrase me years ago. He came out of no where and sat so close up my arse that I couldn't see his wiper blades, he did this for a good 5km's. 3 lane road, 1 set of red lights. Not sure what his problem was, the V8 had quite a lumpy cam in it, he stared over at me while he reved the crap out of the v8, body twitching and all. I thought bugger it, I'll punch it to the speed limit. 5secs and 100km/h later I dropped it straight from 2nd in to 5th waiting... a few seconds later he did the loosers flybye, by this time he had some serious speed. I watched him rail around a long sweeping bend, he was going so quick by this stage I thought the arse end of his car was going to step out. As I came out of the sweeping bend on to the straight I saw him in the distance, an easy 500m+ away swerving to miss a 4wd + trailer that pulled out in front of him. As he swerved around the 4wd his right rear wheel clipped the medium strip that sent him on a 100m (I measured the black lines) slide, he came to rest on the medium strip with a tree branch over his bonnet. Friggin idiot. Pretty damn close to be honest, if he was to kill some one, no doubt I would have been partially liable some how. Definitely a wake up call. Goes to show, simply punting it up to the speed limit to have these other goobers hold it down can get yourself in a lot of trouble. I gave him a toot as I drove past at 20km/h. At that time he was smashing his steering wheel with his fist. lol -
I personally really like the TD06-20G on the RB20DET. Well more so Roy's TD06 setup on his rb20det's. The average power that thing makes is simply awesome. I have never seen an rb20det with such an impressive power curve.

I think your driving around the wrong areas. I get exactly the same thing if I go anywhere near town or its the adjoining roads, especially at dusk or night. Here in SA Anzac highway is well know as being a hoon drag strip as it's a multilane road with many traffic lights. Head for the hills or country roads. -

I often drive the latest 5speed VRX's. They launch good off the mark then die in the arse once over 3500rpm. Rather impressive torque from a little 3.5ltr though, extremely responsive. -
Ratio's are different. Housing is different. Internals are the same.
-
In all seriousness there's nothing we could tell you that hasn't already been said. I would have to think the rb20 turbo upgrade topic is one of the most complete. Cruise the RB20 260kw thread.

The AAC valve is probably a little gummed up. Idling at 900rpm is fairly high, when all sorted they should be around 650 to 700. I find 650rpm in really cold weather with a high elec load alt volts drop to high 12's. Bumping idle up to 700rpm stops this.

Its only the rb25de's from the R32's that don't run the vct. All R33 motors (apart from rb26) run the VCT. You can't simply add the VCT wiring and be done with it as the r33 rb25det ecu pin out is different. It has a few extra little bits plus a different arrangement. Allthough not a major drama, its easy enough to swap a few pins around. I've checked out ecu pin outs in the engine manuals. If only it was so easy.

heheh I said to run a R32 RB25DE and slap a set of forged pistons in it. No wiring mods, it really is a simple drop in bolt turbo manifold up, connect up inlet piping start and drive away on the stock ecu, providing you don't dial in more than 6-7psi. Its static compression is an issue at 10:1 or there abouts, another reason for the forged pistons or any aftermarket piston. No pushing rb30 here
