  1. It does depend on who tunes the stock ecu, generally with the pfc you will pick up mid and possibly a little top end with say a pfc as the tuner is able to push it closer to the edge with the use of the pfc's knock feedback. I.e Chris32.
  2. Safest method I think is to measure the width of the snail. I will take a few more pics with measurements tomorrow and post them up.
  3. GhostDog.. Hows those donations going?
  4. He's a member of this board. I forget his name. He bought a Blitz SBC-iD off me and I installed it for him some time ago. He's running a stock ecu that has been remapped.
  5. Red Drifter, In 5th what rpm does she cruise at when doing 100km/h? Mine sits on 2880rpm. (PFC Controller) The 4.11 diff ratio 'should' see the car using 2700rpm to cruise at 100km/h. A 3.9:1 diff ratio 'should' see the car using 2560rpm to cruise at 100km/h. 4.363:1 @6500rpm 1st - ~55km/h 2nd - ~90km/h 4.11:1 @ 6500rpm 1st - ~58km/h 2nd - ~97km/h 3.9:1 @ 6500rpm 1st - ~61.7km/h 2nd - ~103km/h Which is why I think the 3.9:1 is perfect for the RB30.
  6. Nice result, Thats the second rb25 turbo'd rb20det I know of making 190rwkw on 14psi.
  7. It doesn't take much to get an R33 GTST in to the 12's. Exhaust, FMIC, PowerFC & a bit of boost will see you in to the high 12's providing you have decent traction. There's one person here who recently cracked a 12.6 with a 107mph. Not too shabby for such little mods. At the end of the day I know which one I'd rather be driving. The Pulsar is a chicks car.. heheh Head down to the local auto shop get a "I own a chicks car sticker" made up for bugger all and stick it on his car overnight.
  8. ahh its all in good fun.
  9. Do you use the existing negative (earth) or do you create another to the chassis?
  10. ok. Go in to the airflow menu select option 5 or the very bottom option. Press back. Now go back in to the airflow menu and if the option 5 is still highlighted then the menu is definitely not locked out. It was my understanding if the airflow menu is locked you can't even get in there.
  11. Thats correct Mik, however the high low resistor is what causes the fuel pump not to receive the full volts when under load. Unsure why that is my understanding. Running a dedicated power feed does indeed help. I'll be grabbing the multimeter and checking mine out. I run an external and internal pump, both of those running flat stick must be drawing quite a few amps, hence my reason to upgrade the wiring to a minimum of 30amp stuff.
  12. I've looked in to this obviously. The standard R32 4.363:1 diff ratio is a tad short. My stock diff has started openwheeling, its either hang off get the bigger turbo on and see how it is when the car makes power to 6000rpm instead of 5000rpm then throw another diff in. There's a couple of options. The R33 4.11:1 will help slightly but the better option for the rb30det in the r32 I feel is the S13 3.9:1 diff. So.. S13 3.9:1 it is. Often than not you can pick up a decent cusco mech. diff for the s13's for fairly cheap. I've seen them as low as $600. Well worth it when you consider the initial price of a s13 diff then the cost of reshimming it. That would easily equal $600 if not slightly more. Remember once you start putting some decent power and torque down one of those wheels is going to want to break in to a tyre smoking burnout as you accelerate down the road. Mine now does this in second from 2000rpm in a straight line.
  13. If you can edit the % then you are making a selection.
  14. Its a bitza, bits from a series 1 & 2.
  15. The best looking R33 I've seen was a series 1.5 that was slightly lowered running 255 rear tyres on 17" rims. I didn't care to look what size the fronts were. I assume 245's. Looked awesome. Rather tough looking to be honest.
  16. There are no problems with the R32's that are not age related. Apart from the rb20t gearbox not being as tough when up around 400hp. lol
  17. At the end of the day its all about the smile that right foot of yours brings to your face.
  18. Its a strange way the pfc uses to select the afm you want. Simply enter the Airflow menu and highlight the one you want using the up/down keys. Then simply press back to return to the main menu and that afm will be selected. Just to note though I am able to start and drive my car on any of the afm selections, allthough they don't run it that well but it still runs.
  19. Good excuse to grab a PowerFC.
  20. Definitely grab the package above.. Well worth the money.
  21. I suspect its not grounding properly. A headgasket doesn't cause lights to dim. I ran a wire brush over all area's where the earth was bolted. I then sealed it with paint.
  22. Q45 and a GT35R with a .82 turbine housing. Set of cams. Spend the rest of the money on a set of Toyo RA1's, RE55s - S for super soft compound. Possibly even a better option again. Nitto drag spec. What did you loose your license for? 12months, it must of been something drastic. If it was for speeding or being stupid on the roads consider spending a little on a driving course so you can see how dangerous and uncontrolled a car can be.
  23. If the stock R32 GTR ecu is anything like the stock r32 rb20det ecu then the knock sensor will work up until 4000rpm or there abouts regardless of airflow. It will however, dip and carry on that will take until 4500rpm or there abouts until power recovers. Boost is not metered, its airflow that is represented as load. Mine was pinging at 4000rpm on the stock ecu with 6psi, causing a massive powerdip that took until 4500-5000rpm to recover.
  24. Sounds like a little bit of bull to me.. As Mr. Duncan stated, possibly the fuel pump completely failed, loosing all fuel pressure, as a result no fuel squirting in to the pots = no bang. Fuel pumps 'generally' start to slow the amount of fuel supplied, as a result the tune will begin to lean out and either melt pistons and or ping its self to death. The PFC is safer in this respect as at least it will flash the dash light like crazy and display a knock reading.
  25. 514rwhp with GTR injectors in WA.. Bull... They do it on the stock RB25 370cc jobbies. 270rwkw is pretty much the absolute max on stock fuel pressure with the DOHC head. Don't go over ~15% increase in base fuel pressure.
