  1. Lunatic.. How long have you owned the car? It isn't Waynes old car is it?
  2. My Rb20DET injectors run 92% making 176rwkw on the stock turbo pushing 9psi. 9psi is due to the better flowing RB25 head thats had a little work done to it + the head is sitting on a rb30 bottom end with big diesel lungs. Rev it just that little bit more to 5500rpm, power drops and injectors hit 100% duty to try and maintain a flat 12:1 afr. My external bosch pump is ~3yrs old now, during the holidays i'm going to wire up a dedicated feed from the battery.
  3. I still envy the 4wd launches.. Imagine the 3ltr, I always dream lol.
  4. GTS4 possibly? Thats the way I'd go if I were to do it again.
  5. Are you sure you didn't install it backwards? I will be going an EBC once I get a decent turbo on it.
  6. And to wheel spin off the mark you only need a few hundred rpm over idle.
  7. Nissan don't supply replacement subframe bushes. They said they are not servicable. its the same for even their Aus released cars. 300zx etc, no supply.
  8. ~$190 from Unique Auto Sports.
  9. Chances of getting the resister pack with them is slim. I priced a resistor pack up from Nissan for ~$260 from memory.
  10. I purchased a 9puk Ceramic 1100kg in anticipation of 300rwkw. I bought it from Tim Possingham the previous owner of www.horsepowerinabox.com 1yrs ago for $600. I'm making no where near it yet, I have no doubts it will hold. The same clutch is in 2 other 300rwkw monsters I know of. Whatsisname just under 300rwkw & another 2jz Supra making a shade over 300rwkw. Its quite a nice clutch to drive, reversing is the only time I find it bounces the drive line a little.
  11. Sounds like you got a dud. Mine is actually very accurate with only the slightest adjustment varying boost. I've had mine up to 15-16psi. Obviously I havent kept my foot in to it as she was leaning out in the top end due to small injectors.
  12. Once again.... Thanks SK.
  13. I had a dodgy AFM wire connection at the ecu plug. That was causing exactly what you describe. Luckly I had a PFC plugged in so I was able to watch the AFM signal drop to 0v.
  14. Speaking to Tilbrooks, they said Martin and Tim tune there.
  15. I've dropped Tim a message at Tilbrooks. No doubt he will know as he has always been on the ball so to speak. Hopefully I can grab a hold of him before he heads overseas again.
  16. I've fiddled with the Airflow menu percentages. It doesn't change the load points used, it directly affects the fuel, leans or richens. So it looks like it cannot be done via tha handcontroller. Software time.
  17. I asked them to check it out, they said it wouldn't affect flow. cops arse. Apart from the dump, I am very happy with the look, they way it has been hung and the sound. The pics don't show the weld splatter inside the dump pipe, if you look carefully you can see a few little dots. I've attached Pics.
  18. Race__24, I had an exhaust done by D&T. I must admit I like the note, its not too lound and not too quiet. The exhaust is good quality APART from the dump. Pulling the dump pipe off I was extremely dissapointed, weld splatters everywhere and they had not stretched the pipe over the flange well, this caused a V looking rise smack in front of the turbine wheel. Not good for trying to hold boost in the top end. Mine was done some 3 years ago. I paid $1660 for a full 3" turbo back stainless exhaust. I've got pics. Like to see them? Pics don't really do it justice but it does give you an idea of the problem.
  19. The tuner has no issues making 200+rwkw with other rb20's and their PFC's (Chris32) as higher load points at higher rpm = over 200rwkw. However, I think it does come down to his lack of experience with the rb20 pfc. Generally speaking he does a good job tuning and tunes safe, not to mention he charges bugger all. The only other tuning shop I would touch down this way want $600 (Tilbrooks). Others have a reputation of breaking things and or simply not giving a good tune via the PFC. It appears RB25 pfc's are calibrated differently as at wot and 200rwkw or so they are only hitting load point 15 max. So obviously a lot of head room. Can ppls check out their Airflow menu?
  20. Search is your friend my friend.
  21. Grab the sard twin hole squirters. No doubt will help with atomization for low pulse.
  22. Darren, I noticed with 200odd rwkw the 550cc injectors are only hitting 57% duty.
  23. I'm still running the stock injectors. Darren, I noticed with 200odd rwkw @5000rpm the 550cc injectors are only hitting 57% duty.
  24. I've created a new thread to get to the bottom of the issue of maxing out the AP PFC's load points. SAU Thread SDU Thread http://http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78309' target='_blank'>
  25. Hi ppls, Bl4ck32 and I have an AP Engineering R32 RB20DET PowerFC. We have ran in to issues (Bl4ck32 Specifically) where the load points are being maxed out preventing more boost and power. We are both running RB30DET's, using the R32 RB25 head and RB30 bottom end. I am making 176rwkw and Bl4ck32 is making 200rwkw. I use load point 19 to make this powe rand Bl4ck32 uses load point 20. The problem is the PowerFC appears to have ran out of load points. I have replaced my stock airflow meter with a Z32 item, it didn't change the load point used, only the voltage per load point. i.e The Z32 AFM it now peaks at 4v (thats load point 19) vs the rb20 AFM at 4.9v (that was also at load point 19). Bl4ck32 is using a Q45 AFM. Same thing, only voltage has changed not the load point used. So.. The larger (not literally) AFM doesn't reduce the load point used, what can I and Bl4ck32 do now? What load points are some of you ppls with PFC's using at WOT and what power are you making? Any tuners out there care to shed any light on our brick wall? Our Tuner is contacting Apexi to find out what he can do, he has used the Datalogit software previously and said it cannot change the load point scale. I've attached a pic of the AFM Menu that is located within the Settings menu. All of the AFM menu AFM items contain the same values. I am thinking *hoping* this 'may' change the load points used if the 3.84-5.12v is changed from say 100% to 80%?? Similiar to the way a SAFC works.
