  1. I used to work with glass. If you can grab the scratch with your nail there's no hope in fixing it. If its simply light surface scratches then it can be buffed out fairly easily, (5-10minutes) with the right polisher. Basically a big arsed angle grinder looking thing with a huge white polishing wheel on the end. I had never used it but if you weren't carefull to continually move the polishing wheel it would put an indent in to the glass, which looks crappy and suprisingly stands out quite a bit. I can't remember what it was called but it was a brown powder that was mixed with water and then buffed with a polishing wheel. On the note of adjusting the windows has any one done it? My drivers side window appears to be pointing in towards the car a little and has caused the drivers rubber to rip in the corner. It was fine before the car was sprayed. They must have adjusted it incorrectly. I have had a quick look, adjusting the closed height is easy but the horizontal movement I couldn't work out.
  2. Headgasket, so you have to bore the engine??? Doesn't make sense. He means rebuild the engine and bore it out or??? My opinion IF the motor needs to be rebuilt.. Grab a R32 RB25DE, throw a thicker headgasket in there and drop the motor in, bolt up all your RB20DET stuff and it will run. Literally, the ONLY!!!!!! bolt on part you will need from the rb25de is the inlet manifold, use the rb20det inlet plenum (that sits on the inlet manifold). Get the ecu remapped or drop a PowerFC in there and enjoy more torque and more power with less boost. That will probably be the cheapest way around it. If you go the R33 RB25DET it will cost more outright and you will have to spend money on wiring mods to get the rb25det up and running.
  3. R32 RB20 and 25 plenum/inlet manifold looks exactly the same. You can bolt the r32 rb25 on to the rb20's inlet plenum and vice versa.
  4. bah, people worry too much. Throw it in the highest gear, if you are accelerating enough to labour (vibrate) the motor then select a lower gear.
  5. haha The violin is a nice touch.
  6. Clints running the GT30 600hp .82 I believe, cam specs I'm unsure of. Aftermarket obviously. He told me how much boost but I really can't remember. Darren? You saw him last... how much boost??
  7. Doing it yourself can some times be the worse thing you can do. I attempted to give my VS a light cut and polish, I ruined a part of the paint work. I learn from my mistakes. lol A decent polish and some elbow grease will do wonders. Anything more, get a professional to do the job.
  8. Who cares. I don't. Take it on the chin, you were loitering in a public place that is well known for its hoons.
  9. Don't skimp on the bearings. Either go Nissan or a set of King HP Bi-metal bearings or Clevites. What brand are they?
  10. I don't think you understand BK.
  11. Clints is a rb25 with 26 internals. It is very nice and already pushing ~340rwkw. Darrens (Bl4ck32's) and mine are rb30det's. I will be pushing upwards of 300rwkw and darrens should be some where around the 350rkw mark. Definitely some hipowered GTST's getting around, or soon to be getting around. Mine with the stock RB20DET turbo on 9psi made 175rwkw with a small peak to 176rwkw, I consider it to be 175rwkw. It makes this at ~4400rpm and is held flat until ~4900rpm where power drops of dramatically due to the small crappy turbo. I found it interestering how and where it made power, quite happy with the results. The problem is it feels a little like a turbo diesel the way power is made then drops off.
  12. Thats one ugly messed up looking supra. The cops have been the same since the Anzac Highway bottom car park used to be open. Nothings changed. Cruise around those areas and you will be hassled.
  13. No problems. I'll have to check Darrens out.
  14. Take a pic, its easy to tell the size by looking how FAT it looks. .68 looks near stock. There is a definite noticable difference between .68 and the .87. Judging by your spool I would say you are running the .87.
  15. Does any one have the Q45's pinout?
  16. Nice times Robo. How were the LS1's holding up?
  17. hrmm thanks for the heads up on the 3037ProS. Sounds exactly what I want. Tell me. Are you still running on the stock exh. manifold? What size exhaust a/r are you running?
  18. Head over to the QLD Section and ask around for recommended tuners. The Z32 can be stretched to 500hp without resolution issues.
  19. AFR's look a little nasty on the pre-cams dyno run. Some awesome top end power with those cams. 1666rwkw.
  20. If you are cruising you have very very minimal load on the motor. With minimal load it doesn't hurt the motor to cruise around at low rev's. My peak torque is at 2000rpm. 100rwkw which is around 150kw at the flywheel, using the formula Power = Torque x RPM / 5252 that would equate to some where around 740nM of torque. Sounds almost unrealistic.
  21. The RB30 block has more ribbing than the 26 block, ribbing without a doubt improves a blocks strength.
  22. lol,Lets all convert to LPG. 100+RON Vapour Injection systems with twin convertors to handle up to 400kw @ the flywheel. Youd be lucky to get change out of $4000 Huge reduction in emissons. The Vapour Injection unlike the traditional gas carb or suck through O-ring returns the same fuel economy figures as petrol, just at half the price.
  23. What diff ratio does the HR31's run? ------- Throw the scanned dyno plots up.. Lets see the mid range and how they both ramp up on boost.
  24. haha sounds about right. Girls and money. Blokes and sex.. lol
  25. For those curious http://www.pipercross.net/ Gary, Is it possible to purchase them online in AUS? Any links?
