  1. I agree with yogi000 and Bax, Get something not so powerful, My R31 is my first car and it IMO it's still a little too powerful for me and I have had my licence 6 months. Get a 4A-C sprinter or something, then put a 4A-GZE in it when you get the need for more power. But since you want an R33 so much you probably will...Personally I wouldn't get a NA because I would always feel like I'm in an inferior car...but thats just me. NA's are only about .5 of a second faster than a good stock R31 at most, so it has *reasonably* sensible power. You could get a shitbox then save for a good GTS-T and then you would have more driving experience,...just goota make sure you don't have to spend money on the shitbox!
  2. The car is owned by Veronica McCann here in WA...she was a member of the RollaBoyz forum when it existed.....I've seen it in the flesh (well, her and the car) and they both look nice Maybe someone here knows how to get in touch with her.
  3. My RB30 belt was $17 :-/
  4. My GF's car had an AutoWatch alarm in it, installed by her dad (an auto electrician) but the control unit or something shat itself after about 2 years and was doing random things and setting the alarm off etc. My car has a AutoWatch immobiliser that was in the car before I bought it, and it was installed by Action Alarms in Balcatta, I havn't had a problem with it, and hope to upgrade to the alarm and central locking when I can afford it.
  5. Most likely, I can't see it looking anything like this in production, unfortunatly The red one wouldn't show up for mr before, but I don't think it looks too bad, and good compared the the others in the 1st post.....too bad it isn't real.
  6. Yes that was the one, That was who I was thinking of in that other thread, Chris Bangle designed the Beemer. All designs for the V35 I have seen have been ugly, except this one I would have seen about 2-3 years ago...
  7. Plus there is all the cooking model cars we don't get here (like a RB20E in a R33 2door...how many people here bother importing them?) I like the look of the specs for the Evo X, the car though... yuck...designed by the guy who was recently sacked? (and responsible for such ugly things as the current Magna, that Colt thing, cooking model Lancers(agreed, the Evo 8 wasn't too bad))
  8. Would you need to get both done? If one has just been reconditioned, and one has been in the car for, say a year, they wouldn't act the same would they? (if that makes sense)
  9. On a RB30 the lights are for air/fuel ratio, both lights should be coming on at the same time.
  10. Um...aren't all Aussie Skyline diffs the same apart from the ratio and the fact that some are LSD? and the mounting points for wagon? possibly the axles are a bit shorter on a wagon (havn't checked this out yet, because im wondering too) What is the point of this conversion? Or are you trying to put a sedan rear suspension setup into a wagon?
  11. I have heard of a PassageGT with a NICS that had a R180, I thought all imports with NICS RB20s had R180s, or at least the Passages :whatsthat Is your car black over grey and have a yellow sticker by any chance, hako?
  12. Ouch, on my test (at Joondalup aswell) it had just stopped raining, on the big roundabout near the hospital I couldn't see the lines on the two lanes of the roundabout becuase of the reflection from the rain off the road, and went through the middle. Halfway thru (was going straight) I noticed that it was a two lane rounda bout...oops, but the guy testing me let me do it again it would have been an instant fail. Just after this roundabout I was turning left onto Lakeside drive (?) and spun the wheels, then chirped second (unintentionally!!) and I don't think he noticed!! Somehow after all that I passed good luck with the retest, how long is the wait? My instructor was always saying bullshit like the waiting list was 4 months long or something, yet my step-bro got one two weeks after ringing Licencing...
  13. ZOOM's XR6 had 32GTR rims on it for a little bit, I think it used spacer tho.
  14. The Pintara had a CA20E, and it (the car) was based on the aussie skyline, the only differences are: Grille/no driving lights, no centre garnish between rear taillights on sedans, aswell as the engine, gearbox and Diff (4.11 25spline instead of 3.7 or 3.889 28spline with some LSD) Interior is exactly the same. I thought Imports had 4studs? I know of at least one that has 4 stud, maybe they were easier to convert to 5 stud so most have been changed? dunno. Jap had GTS 2door and 4door, GTS-X 2door, GTS-R 2door, PassageGT 4door, plus a load of cooking model non-turbo rb20s that we dont see much of here (cos their shit). Aus had Exec, GX, GXE, Silhouette, Ti and Silhouette GTS All had RB30E's, GTS1 (white) had 130kw and GTS2 had 140kw. also, the aussie cars had live axle diffs, and are prone to whining, and are pretty crappy considering the imports hav R180s and R200s. ...also, R31skylineclub is good
  15. Apparantly It is being shown live 1:45am (Monday) delayed in the West tho 10 has the rights to show all IRL races, shame they don't
