  1. LMAO! I got pulled over about a month ago, the cops, amoung other things, said "It's good you've kept the mods light, the big mods are just too easy to sticker"
  2. Also have the throttle wide open, doesn't really matter if you don't, but the numbers will be lower
  3. I wish I was cool enough to drag up old threads.....
  4. Agreed, I'm 18 very performance orientated, do mostly my own work, and would never have neons. by the time my car is 'finished' you won't be able to tell it from a stocker, love the sleepers. Not a fan of neons, too much 'look at me' value, and is asking for you to be pulled over.
  5. A manual silo would start at around $2.5k, and yep they come with LSD, the only model that does (apart from the GTS's) Wait 'till you've had it for at least a year before you get an RB20 etc, I've had mine longer than that and I'm only just getting bored of the power. you're cheap turbo options are RB20DET or RB30ET basically, both equally capable engines.
  6. I like that design, would look better in white on black though.
  7. Normal seat covers - yes, they look shit on any car, but the Snap-on sort of ones are just when you're dirty or whatever and don't want to get your seats all dirty. Some people like to have them on all the time for some reason...kinda stupid. The Stahlwille ones go for $45, I was going to get one of them next week (****in plastic disposeable ones are pissin me off ) but might wait for these to be made up see how they look...
  8. Go to a tyre place if all else fails, my mate didn't have the key thingo for the locknuts on his new car so he took it there and they got them off (you would be screwed if you got a flat tyre or something...)
  9. Im told Microtech's don't have closed loop, so even when cruising you would be using shitloads of fuel, if so then that's part of your problem Maybe it's they way you drive when I first got my car a caned it and wondered why I was getting such crap economy. Months later when I drove much more sedately and was getting better economy, I realised why.
  10. I got a GT-R T shirt from my gf for chrissy, $60 from Nissan, it's the V35/whatever new GT-R one, not the 32, 33, 34 Style, the R is a little different... also got a Jacket (not Nismo) for $140. Surprisingly, Nissan hats are only $12
  11. In a word: Yes There is at least 2 I have heard of, one in a Pintara, and one in a Silo in SA, why you would do that over an RB20 or 25 I don't know
  12. Crank Angle Sensor is one thing I would check, can't think anything else though. edit: steve got in first.
  13. done...mine just says 'gtr69 XL black shirt' on it, as that's all the words my bank will allow.
  14. Looks pretty nice too bad it has the later taillights, but a silvertop is waaaaaaaaay better than a redtop NICS, and ADThree moulded mudflaps I have some of them
  15. There was more R31's than 32's or 33's Saturday/night was by far the best, some of the best fun in my life, awesome time, Sunday kinda sucked though, or maybe that was cos I was hung over... Pity the non holdens/fords in the burnout got no attention, A silvia, a SR20 1600, and a stanza, and they all did pretty good, the SR20s seemed to get hot pretty quickly, and it would always be harder using a manual in a burnout comp, and turbos aren't as loud... there was a black R33 S2 doing some pretty good burnouts in the supercruise today, aswell as all the 31's at various times of both days Hopefully my car should be turbo by next year...If I'm allowed in at all, I heard only the best cars will be allowed in next year, not first in first served, hmmm
  16. I don't see why you would need it? Isn't it the one that just senses if the cat overheats?
  17. You would want to go earlier, Sunday is a short day, (10-5) If you get there at 12 the time goes real quick, Saturday is the day to go you're not working/busy etc, goes 10am-10pm, with more cars competing in the burnouts, driving events etc.

  19. he's a hoon, his bike should have been impounded I heard one of them fell over? The first leg was nice and cruisy ...and then I saw a VL run into the back of a VY or something ahead of me.... Anyway, the amount of money raised was great thanks to all that organised it
  20. I too beleive that a BOV doesn't do anything for the life of a turbo http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_2385/article.html (ok not everyone trusts autospeed, but there is a bit info in it....) Also remember the RB20DET NICS (and probably RB20ET too) and RB30ET don't have BOV's stock...
  21. Who cares..... I would much rather a VLT setup then my GTS2 motor, more power to start with, and more power is easy to come by, my friend's VLT setup on a NA block has 226rwhp with just cooler/3"zorst and some boost.
  22. I sent one about the anti-hoon laws a while ago, it took her 2 months to reply must have been busy making more new laws..... I don't read the things about where the camera are in the paper and on the news (would most likely forget where they are anyway), but it still isn't a good move.
  23. lol I finished yr 12 there last year

  25. Are you running standard brakes? if so would that pass? Did anyone get done on Wanneroo road when there was that 'blitz' with all cars regos checked etc, apparantly about 120 (might have been 170) yellow stickers given out over 4 hours. I probably would have got one if I as going that way (was going in the opposite direction) as my exhaust is being held on by coathangers at the moment... (all getting fixed tomorrow)
