  1. hi, why would i be getting hesitation on boost? i can switch between 10 and 13 psi. there are no problems at all before the turbo starts spooling and hitting boost. but as soon as the turbo starts kicking in at around 3000rpm there is hesitation and lack of power. i am running bcpr7es-8 ngk copper plugs. should i be running bcpr6es-8 instead with my boost? the plugs are new btw. ive checked for leaks, nothing wrong there... i have new splitfire coilpacks. timing is at 15 could the tps be causing a problem like this? any help would be appreciated. thank you
  2. the spark plugs are fine. i just put them in yesterday. this problem has been happening for a week or two now.
  3. hi, i got this problem and wanted to see what would be the most likely problem. rb20det engine with a vg30 turbo. once the turbo starts spooling and reaching boost, there is no power. instead the car stumbles/hesitates. during normal driving, in the rev range before the turbo starts to kick in, it drives perfectly, no missfires, no stumbling or hesitation. im running new NGK BCPR6ES-8 plugs i can switch between 10 and 13 psi boost. thanks for your help
  4. hey, when are u planning on doing the conversion? id be looking at just buying it off you, how much would you want for it? thanks
  5. hey guys, ive got an auto ceffy and the gear selector is busted, springs are missing, buttons are gone... its rooted. anyway, please let me know if u have one, and how much u want for it. must be in good working order, with all wires, main selector gear selector button working, and OD driver button working. thanks
  6. hi, ive just done a ecu diagnostics check and error 34 appears. this relates to knock sensors. according to the manual, each sensor at the ecu should read approx. 4v. my first sensor reads 3.8v (acceptable), however the second sensor reads 7.8v. this is out of range by quite a lot... does this mean the sensor needs to be replaced, or there is a problem somewhere along the wire connection between the sensor and ecu pin? also, how hard is it to change a knock sensor? i know where they are, and they arent that easy to get to. is it a hard job, or just a matter of unscrewing them? will there be oil spillage when they are taken out? thanks heaps for any help
  7. hi, im after the knock sensor subloom for the rb20det. must be in good condition, and all clips must be undamaged. please let me know if u have one for sale. thanks
  8. still for sale. this is a high quality split pipe made by an australia wide respected exhaust fabricator
  9. i bought it a few years back, i imported it from japan.
  10. cheers man, i really am sad to see it go... but the silvia has to go too, so the exhaust needs to be sold
  11. Hi, I have a few things for sale: Reinhard exhaust. Reinhard. CA18DET RH #02 3" cat-back exhaust system. Twin tip, both are 100mm in diameter. Stainless steel. Interstate buyers are welcome, but be prepared to pay for postage/courier costs. PM me, or contact me on 0434030114. Peace
  12. thanks daisu, great info and pics. so thats good then, i wont be touching that front bar anymore, i wish that bottom part of my bar wasnt cut out so low either... just out of interest, where did u find that wider mouth autech bar, yahoo japan?
  13. thanks for all your advice guys you both have been really helpful cheers
  14. cheers man, and ill be hanging onto the rims haha. so you reckon that arc intercooler will fit ok with the way i have my autech front bar now? or do u think to take full addvantage of the intercooler i might have to cut the number plate section out?
  15. cheers man, thanks for the compliment. i havnt got the cooler yet, its on its way from japan. and yeh the front bar has been cut quite a bit so the pipe will be very obvious... ive been looking at the series 2 autech front bar and it seems to be much more 'cooler friendly' haha, but chances of finding one in australia will be very slim, probably slim in japan too... so in your opinion i wouldnt need to cut out that number plate part and the two little parts on either side of it? ill guess ill find out in about 2 months anyway... im gonna take a good look thru those 56 pages of pics and see if i can find any examples of turnflow coolers with autech bars. thanks for your help
  16. this the cooler on my car now. as you can see it sits just above the very bottom of the bar. its a just jap core the previous owner put on, its very narrow (approx 200mm wide) which means it fits right within the bar really well. but the opportunity to have this cooler is very tempting. now if i install this arc cooler, it will mean the actual arc core will be sitting much higher due the return flow pipe. wont that mean ill have to cut out the section that currently holds my number plate? i dont really want to do that, it will leave this giant hole in my front bar, and make everything much more conspicuous.
  17. hey, i can get my hands on one of these intercoolers. it's a turnflow design, and it's a kit specifically made for the a31. just wondering if anybody on here uses this intercooler, or has in the past? any info? all i know is ARC is very high quality... i was also hoping somebody may have some pics they could share showing fitment. i have an autech front bar and have been thinking how this intercooler will fit behind the bar... i dont want to start hacking away at it, but the more i think about it, it seems i might have to. due to the return pipe it looks like this intercooler will have to sit quite high up, which means i might have to cut off the section which holds the number plate in order expose the intercooler... anyway, if anybody knows please let me know. cheers
  18. URGENTLY need a r32 rb20det engine loom. as soon as possible, even today. PM me please
  19. hi, im after a cheap head unit. dont need anything fancy, just something that will play cds and mp3. dont care about brand. unit must be working and come with loom/harness. if anybody has one they want to get rid of let me know. i dont really want to spend over $50, but let me know what you want anyway. im in adelaide, id prefer to buy locally, but let me know wherever ur from. thanks
  20. cheers, ill give them a go. have never heard of them b4. do you know if they have any ceffy wrecks? thanks
  21. why are they so hard to find? i already have one, but i accidently cracked some of the plastic off around it. im just being a perfectionist so i thought id loom for an undamaged one...
  22. hi, im after a few bits and pieces to finish off my cefiro. parts needed: ignition barrel plastic bezel/surround. passenger side air vent (the one just near the glove box). plastic screw/clips which hold the plastic panels around front and rear doors. this next part im guessing are sun sensors (correct me if im wrong). theres 2 of them, they sit just under the windscreen on either side of the top air vents. i need 1, or ill take 2 if u dont want to seperate. please let me know if u have these parts available. thanks
