  8. Hello guys, Have had an idea for a project and i need to know if the 240sx keys are physically the same size as the R33 units. were talking the same year group here too so compairing a 95 - 98 240 to the same year group R33's. I dont know if many people will know as the 240 is american i beleve but maybe the 180 sx, 200sx keys may also be the same? Cheers

  10. i would really love a CNC machine, endless possibilitys of things you could make.
  11. Daniel has alot of experience with this ey daniel lol. normally id be going straight for the turbo seals but being a new turbo that makes it abit unlikly that the seals are failing already, but anythings possible right!?
  12. lol at adrain and the T51......i know how much u love that turbo haha.if you would like some advice or anything about 25/30 or 26/30's let me know as im building up a 25/30 atm
  13. sucks to hear troy. i highly recomend D and C carcraft off seaford road. they know there shit and are good blokes too,They are the only people that work on my car apart from my self.
  14. lol stop whining george ,havnt seen you guys for ages! you are right tho. its the reason why i stay out of most things these days. at the end of the day people know where the profesionals are, sooner or later they will come to us to ether do the job right the first time around or when something goes wrong with the back yard job.
  15. you forgot me cara lol.mines red does that count haha? im heading out north today so i can probly meet you somewhere and pay and sign the form.msg me today at some point.
  16. Excellent find! saving this one for later on
  17. Will be a fault with the head unit. try resetting the unit to see if it resolves the problem. If resetting it doesnt fix it the unit will ether need to be sent off for repair or just replace it as it will probly be the cheaper option in the long run. Jack
  18. Dude got about 5 modem/routers here you can test with lol. youv got my number
  19. + 1 to the shock and spring combo! i use KYB shocks with whiteline "low" springs. resonably comphy ride but still stiff enough to give a nice feel to the car. altho you wont be able to do that for a few hundred $$ lol...unless you someone manage to find them all 2nd hand maybe.
  20. digital designs gear isnt very expensive.especially there entry level gear. EDIT: Troy just relised there was a post in that quote haha. I have herd a few good 8's in my time but of course alot of planing went into box design and alot of skill was needed to construct. For the average person its just too complicated to acheive a good sound with an 8. The 2 8's over a 12 or 15 theory.....yes there would probly be slightly less cone break up and distortion but that would be very minimal in the 10 any way. I agree with the bandpass box comment.Excelent way to get the most out of the power you have available but for the higher order enclosures the average person has buklys chance of constructing and getting the tune right. I think were going to have to agree to disagree about the capacitor lol. Im not saying they cant have any benifit at all but the big 3 must be taken care of first. They have there applications but when suggesting a cap to fix headlight dimming and other voltage drop problems when the other aspects of the car elec system havnt been seen to first, such as the battery to chassis ground its really just a bandaid fix to a much bigger problem. Now in a car thats already had these upgrades done then sure you will probly find an improvement out of adding a cap to the system. About my comment about a cap helping to filter out AC ripple, i ment that it would help the transient voltages in the amp and help keep them at a more consistant level and hence reducing the amount of distortion the amp sends to the speakers, how ever minimal it might have been in the first place but still you can never be too safe lol. Sure thing troy id love to have a sitdown and a good chat about this general subject! its about time someone understands what the hell im on about lol,i normally just get blank looks in return Jack
  21. im in if theres room cara, was in it last year so why not again haha! when organising for our autobarn display last year they were pritty good with how we wanted it to go and where,as long as theres physically enough room they are generally really good.i still have the contact numbers for the guys that run the show so if youd like i can get in contact with them and find out what sorta arangment we can have.
  22. defenantly looks better! I would never go free air, takes a very special kind of woofer to cope with it and give good results. In my opinion you will get much much better results even if the woofer is in a small sealed enclosure , such as the spare tyre well and use there tricks that us installers know to fool the woofer into acting like its in a slightly larger enclosure then what its really in. EDIT: dam you cara lol,u got in before i did haha. Last year i organised the term lab setup to be there for the autobarn store i was working for at the time. i dont know if they have organised it again this year but i can cirtanly find out for you.
